But she said in her videos that the snake’s name is Simbi/Cymbee (there’s multiple spellings) which is also the word for a type of Pan-African water spirit and are signified more by snakes than by fish.

Visually this video also reminded me about Mami Wata, another African diaspora water spirit, who is depicted with full, natural hair and is always accompanied by a pair of snakes wrapped around her.
