“Oh goody. One of that princess’ little friends. But you are powerless without her, aren’t you?” She showed disdain for the pony in front of her. She didn’t like her and her friends at all, but she’d have fun with this little encounter.

What a familiar scenario she found herself in. Two worlds colliding and one city that needed to be taken care of. She was elated. If there were doubles of everyone, then there was sure to be her own double. The one she needed to get revenge on. How wonderful. She stood tall in front of a human with a strange and irritating sense of fashion. She didn’t enjoy having to converse with the humans, but she would for her own gain. There was little she wouldn’t do in that regard, even put her own sister’s life in danger.
“You. Human. Pray tell, have you seen somepony who is nearly identical to me, yet pathetic in every regard? I have some unfinished business with her and I will give you something good in return for your information.”

“Even so, sister, it is not I. You claim I have been strong, but I fear we differ in our idea of strength. Five moons I have been trapped here Tia. Five moons and I have failed to find a way home for us. I’m no closer to even regaining my magic, while you and Twilight have only grown stronger.”
The younger alicorn flinched at her sister’s touch, and Luna turned her head. As her own anger began to fade away she could not bear to meet Celestia’s eyes.
“But you mistake the source of my frustration. A thousand years you waited for me sister, and I cannot begin to imagine how much you suffered. But for what? For a sister who allowed jealousy to consume her heart? A sister who time and time again has failed in her duties? Nightmare Moon. The Tantabus. I have done Equestria more harm than good, and I fear what I could have become had it not been for Twilight and her friends. I assure you Tia, I have forgiven you a hundred moons ago. But there is one pony who I can never forgive.”
Sitting down the mare pulled the crown from her head and stared at it.
“I am angry Tia. Perhaps I even was angry at you. We always told one another we would rule as equals, but how true has that been since my return? I sometimes feel as if I am more your student than your sister. But then I see all that I have failed to do. Here. In Equestria. Twilight Sparkle has done more for you and the kingdom than your sister ever did. So you’re wrong, Tia. I do not fear you replacing me. But perhaps I believe you should.”
“Even now I have allowed a foolish argument to come between us.”
“Sister. Look around you. There are countless others from different worlds and none of them have found a way home. I have not. Princess Twilight has not. You are not to blame here. There are only the scientists to blame in this case. Both Twilight and myself have been here before, you cannot measure yourself to us in that way. Some grow quicker than others here, but that does not make them stronger or better than anypony else. The very fact that you are still surviving and still working to find some way home is what makes me see you as strong. Besides, even I am not quite so strong here. I do not even have the ability to levitate anything.” She gave her a small smile, though it faded.
“I fear you place too much weight on my or Twilight's perfection. Everypony is flawed, my sister. Even I. I have made my fair share of mistakes over my life time, especially while you were away. I failed my student, I nearly aided in the destruction of two lands of Equestria, and my worst mistake: I failed in being able to save my own sister. But I waited for my sister. The one who helps me every night in protecting Equestria. The one who takes away my nightmares and cheers me up when I am feeling down. The sister who has many flaws, just like her older sister, but has grown so much from the past.”
Celestia moved to sit near her sister, listening to her. “It is not good to think of what might have beens. It is in the past, Lulu. We leave that to then and we move forward. It is hard to not think on it from time to time, but the fact is that you are you now and Twilight and her friends were there to save you. But you and I have very different views on where you stand. I see you as my equal and I see your duties as being just as important than mine. Sure, you do not do much of the menial paperwork and delegating that I do, but that does not mean you are not an equal ruler. You keep the night safe for all of our subjects and you protect them from having nightmares. You are important to me and to everypony in Equestria. You have done so much by my side as we grew up and I could not have done it all without you. You should not discount the accomplishments you have made before you were locked up. For if not for you with me, we would not have an Equestria.”
She moved to take her sister's crown in her mouth, placing it back atop her head. “We are all students, Lulu. Even after over a thousand years I am even still learning things from others. Especially in this place. Being a student is not bad. Though it is not how I view you. I want to protect you. I want to teach you. But I know you can stand on your own four hooves without me. It has always just been us before Star Swirl found us. So forgive me if I am just accustomed to doting on you and protecting you. I do not mean to make you feel as though you are my student or anything less than my equal. I only care about you, more than anything else in my life. More than even myself.”
A wing was spread then placed over his sister's back before the older Alicorn leaned in to nuzzle her. This time she stayed longer. “Sisters fight. How many silly quarrels have we had in our long lives? This is nothing and I would not hate you no matter how angry you make me some times. I am sorry for sending you away. I just...did not want to let my anger speak for me more than it already had. Do you forgive me, Lulu?” Another nuzzle with her cheek. “I understand what you are feeling here. I cannot say I do not feel it as well. The crushing weight of not being able to help our friends. It is something you, I and Princess Twilight all have in common. Though the two of you seem to be taking it much harder than I am. Do realise there is not much you can do to leave this place and it is not your fault that anypony else is here. I promise.”
“You do not understand, do you sister? Your punishment was proof enough. Without you I would have no apartment. Without you I would have no position at the Golden Oak. Without my magic I even rely on your spells. I have been nothing but a filly here. The truth is Celestia, I do not think I have gone far enough.”
“Twilight Sparkle was always your favorite student. Her gift for magic is unparalleled, and the times she has saved Equestria rivals our own in count. And do not think I am unaware of all that she has accomplished in this world. Why should she not sit on my throne? Perhaps I should hand her my crown myself? Or would you like those honors, sister? No matter what you say Celestia, it changes nothing. It matters not if you were dear to me, or what you have done. Because you do not understand. I do not think that you believe such things…”
“They are things that I believe.”
“That is not true. I do not do the hiring at the Golden Oak. You have Princess Twilight to thank for that. And I am sure if I was not here she would be more than willing to share her house with you. I am not the be all end all here, Luna. You have been strong so far, even before I came back here, though you are now acting like a filly.”
Celestia sighs, letting the glow die down now as she calms herself, taking on a more concerned expression. “I know very well of her accomplishments. But she has her own crown and her own throne and her own duties. She is not you. And she is not destined to replace you.” The taller Alicorn moves to nuzzle her sister's cheek for a brief moment before pulling away. “You should not believe that, Lulu. She cannot move the stars themselves and she is not my sister. You are, and I would not ask for any other sister. Nor would I ask for any other pony to share my title with. It is, always has been, and always shall be you and you alone. No matter what.”
“I know I cannot begin to change your mind. All I can do is hope to alleviate your worries but I cannot do that without your help. I have tried to make up for my past mistakes. I am flawed, Luna. I make mistakes and continue to do so no matter how much I have grown. You have to forgive me. There was nothing I could do for a thousand years and it hurt me. It still does. I am sorry I snapped at you but know I would never send you away again. I would never have anypony replace you. No matter what. I reigned alone for a thousand years because there is no pony who I would choose to reign beside other than you. It was tiring and took everything I had but I waited for you to come back to me. I waited and I will always wait. I will always want you by my side. Even if you choose not to believe me.”
“Perhaps I do, sister. But I will do as you command, since it appears you still see it fit to order me around as if I was a filly. I would be most upset if I intruded on your room, or prevented you from working at your store, or stars forbid, disobey your pupil. Perhaps you should put her on the throne beside you. Shall I even teach Princess Twilight how to raise and lower the moon? I am sure she is gifted enough. But no sister, I do not have any more foolish words. Only…”
“I hope you do not cool off too soon. You could afford to burn off a few calories.”
“That’s is not how I think of you and you know it!” She sighs, but her anger and the glow of it do not leave her yet. “If you are so keen on acting like a filly, Luna, then you shall be treated as such! Is that not how this works? Is this the problem you are having with me? I am used to our normal sisterly bickering but you have gone too far. And for what? Because you think I have these thoughts? That I would replace you with anypony else?”
“She is dear to me, yes. I will not refute that. But she cannot hold even a candle to you as you are the most precious thing in any world to me.” She snorts angrily, raising and slamming a forehoof onto the ground in front of herself. “I cannot believe you would think otherwise and then continue to insult me! Why are you acting out, sister? Have I not been dear to you? Have I not supported you through this whole ordeal? What have I not done enough of?”
“Dear sister, I fear walking to and from the bakery is no more exercise than walking to and from the fridge, no matter how often you do it. And I assure you, with the amount of food you leave starvation is more of a concern.”
“But so be it! If you will not accept my advice then my presence is of no further use. Though I must ask, Celestia, those punishments…”
“…will they stack as fast as you stack pounds?”
The Alicorn’s body begins to glow, which should be a warning sign for any who know her well. “Luna! I said that was enough! Do you truly wish to see me angry, sister? Then fine. You have struck a nerve. Go to Princess Twilight. You will be staying with her for the week or until I see you fit for your return to our room. I will make sure she keeps you on a tight schedule. And you know how she loves making in depth schedules, dear sister. I shall stagger my presence in the Golden Oak with yours so I can take the time to cool off before I say anything I may regret. Have you any more foolish words for me, sister? Or shall I take my leave then?”
“Very well! We shall see which one of us can outlast the other. I would even insist that we instate an exercise routine, but I fear the city streets may not be able to handle your jumps.”
“Though, pray tell Celestia, how do you intend to keep Twilight Sparkle’s watch on me? All I require is put you between us, and then her entire view will be blocked.”
“I do hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I have already found a friend with whom I exercise. And what about you, dear sister? What has been your routine?”
“That is honestly quite enough, Luna! You will go to your room and think about your choice of words and rumours this instant. And you will write an essay on humility and why you should not call your loving sister obese. Have I made myself clear now? Or shall I stack on more punishments, hm?”
“Please forgive me, dear sister. You are quite right. I have forgotten how the ground itself quakes at your mere presence-”
“Or was that whenever you walked by? I admit it has become difficult to distinguish an earthquake from when you land on a balcony. Those little snacks add up, do they not Celestia?”
“You are absolutely not forgiven. But since you are so keen on challenging my actual size and weight, I decree that from this day forward we shall both follow a strict regimen of nothing but healthy foods. Are you ready for that, my dear sister? Sweets and cakes shall henceforth be banished from our apartment. And do not think for a moment that I will not have Princess Twilight watching you as well. You will not be sneaking snacks at the Golden Oak.”
“Hardly. Do not think I am unaware of your midnight raids, sister.”
“But short stature you say? Are you sure it is I who is short, Celestia? Perhaps the cake is simply pushing you out in all directions. You are quite the well-rounded pony.”
“Oh, please, sister. I do believe it is I who has eaten the most healthy in all our years of life, hm? A small snack of cake now over a thousand years is nothing to me. And you know why it is that I am taller. Or did you forget that I am the eldest and more powerful of us?” She places a wing on top of her sister’s head. “Little sister.”

“And yet, I’ve not eaten as much cake as you have, dear sister. Though, you should keep in mind your short stature. I have the ability to eat more as I am much taller. I suppose that is just a passing something to keep in mind, hm?”
【 Sorry for not being around on my blogs for the past few days or smth!! I’ve been like crazy sick with a crazy fever that doesn’t seem to want to go away?? It might be stress but idk?? I’ve been really out of sorts and writing is kinda?? hard??
