why limit yourself between choosing between a pretty feminine aesthetic or a dark one? if persephone can be the goddess of spring & queen of the underworld at the same time so can you

When Donna Tartt said Forgive me, for all the things I did but mostly for the ones that I did not, and M. L. Rio said How tremendous the agony of unmade decisions.
i find solace in the somber
since that’s where i found myself
surrounded by history
my own, and that of those long gone
the rain caresses my cheek
i’m in her warm embrace
and i can feel again

Hello! I know you get DA questions a lot so it can be exhausting I’m sure, but I’m just now getting into DA and I’ve noticed... a lot of clothing ideas and aesthetics seem to fit people on a thinner side? And there doesn’t seem to be much room for people on the plus sized end. Would the same fashion advise work for people who are on the bigger side of things? Do you have any advise or extra tips? Sorry if something similar has already been asked, I tried searching tags but to no avail.
In a previous ask, I’ve said that while DA fashion is certainly geared toward thin people and only has thin representation, there is no reason why plus sized bodies cannot wear these fashions. Just because clothes pictured or an aesthetic is aimed at thin people (which is its own terrible problem of lacking body representation) I want to emphasize that plus sized people can wear whatever they want. As someone who isn’t by any means skinny either, I do not dress differently than the advice I give to people on here or differently than my thin friends. In the end it’s about what you want to wear and what makes you feel confident. I realize this may not be the answer you wanted, as it offers no solution just an explanation and acknowledgement of the lack of plus sized representation in DA and other aesthetics and in the general media. Ultimately, you should wear what makes you feel happy and bad ass. That’s all there is to fashion, and it’s the best advice I have to offer to anyone.
I’m in a class about Shakespeare and his inspirations, and my professor is amazing. This class just screams dark academia and he puts bitmojis in all of his emails. He’s the sweetest man.
i need the next person i date to listen to me rant about academic topics. i could go on for hours but i’m too scared too because it’d sound boring to so many of the people i hang around. i want to talk about the misogynistic language in shakespeare plays and how it displays, to me at least, that shakespeare realized that women were worth so much more than the society around them.
No more using fatness as a visual metaphor for greed and villainy society has LITERALLY progressed past the need for it
Maybe in the past fatness was found in the rich and wealthy, but nowadays in the US, most upper class socialites are thin and healthy and have personal trainers/exercise equipment, and most lower class people are fat and overworked and overexploited and, while they have access to food, don't have the money to buy healthy stuff and don't have the time/energy to properly exercise. If you wanna do some kind of class/economic commentary, then instead of poor starving people taking on evil fat villains, it's really more accurate if you have fat protagonists fighting against thin, fit antagonists
dark academia netflix films/shows?? I really want to watch some but I don’t know where to start.
opinion: dark academic mom friend.
thoughts?
What shall I call you when I’m cross? ‘Mrs. Darcy’?
No. No. You may only call me ‘Mrs. Darcy’ when you are completely, perfectly, and incandescently happy.
“‘You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.’”
- Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth Bennet, Pride and Prejudice
I’m watching pride and prejudice for the first time and I feel so many feelings, I can already tell that this is my new comfort movie
