hello! just wanted to pop by and say that your harry/ginny stories have been (happily) consuming my life lately and i thank you immensely for that. i recently finished a reread of the hp series and wanted to look for some good fanfics since i had never read them from this fandom before. yours are truly some of the best i have found!!! i hope that one day you will write some more beautiful hinny and cannot wait to read it if/when you do <3

Crossover with Batman: Struggling with her place in a new world, Ginny finds solace in a particular case at work that takes her across the Atlantic and helps her examine her life. I actually never read crossovers, but this one certainly captured my attention! I like seeing Ginny in other careers aside from Quidditch and how her and Harry’s choices might cause rifts, and whether they can bridge the distance.

There are heartbreaking moments of Harry angsting over his relationship with Al, but I have such a soft spot for Ginny & Al stories, and this one hit all of them.

If you’re looking for a multi-chaptered story, this is it! (Though you may have read it already.) It features some of my absolutely favorite married Hinny moments. The third part is much more focused on Next Gen than Harry/Ginny, but definitely worth reading.

I don’t even know how to describe this story, but it is so good! It has all the angst and feels and bits of fluff that both kept me going and tore me apart. It had me feeling all the Harry/Ginny feels.

Huddling for warmth

''Cold, cold, cold,'' Ginny muttered, nose red and hands white, running to Harry who was lying on the couch in the living room, reading some book, warm under the covers. ''Too cold,'' She pulled the covers off of him, falling on his side and hugging him for warmth. ''I will die,''

''Ouch, you look like a boulder of ice,'' Harry complained, but hugged her tightly, dropping the book and pulling the covers close to their chins.

''I'm really cold,'' Her chin quivered, her cold hands digging under Harry's sweater, touching his chest and making him shiver. ''I thought I was going to die out there... it's the biggest blizzard in years, and I think we're going to have to spend all these days laying here and warming each other up.''

''Looks like a pretty good future to me,'' Harry smiled, kissing her icy forehead.

“…it also made him think of Ron again, and of Dumbledore, and of Hogwarts itself, which he missed nearly as much as his ex-girlfriend.”

Two things about this sentence.

a) His feelings for Ginny at this point are on a level where he misses his second home less than he misses his ex-girlfriend. He loves her more than anything, and he’s realised that after being forced away from her.

b) This is the only time in the entire series where Ginny is referred to as his girlfriend. The only time, and it is in the past tense, which just breaks my heart. 

c) She is referred to as his ex-girlfriend, while later on in the book, when the DA gather before the battle, Cho is referred to as his old girlfriend, which is somewhat less flattering. Note this is from Harry’s point of view. He doesn’t give Cho a second thought after he sees her, but his heart seems to fail upon seeing Ginny.

I'd just like to remind everyone that Harry having feelings for Ginny in OOTP is canon not an opinion. Harry himself was very close to understanding it in the easter eggs scene before being interrupted by Madam Pince. That's exactly why JKR interrupted that scene.

It's not a coincidence that the book pretty much ends with Ron suggesting Harry to date his sister. That Harry doesn't get it is another story.

i don't understand the carmuel short story ending. i mean, I GET IT. Samuel is currently too insecure about his social standing and Carla refuses to answer any of his questions, even the ones that don't have anything to do with her protecting him. i get it.

however, people don't stop developing as separate individuals when they enter a relationship. and you don't have to be a complete developed person to love someone. yes, some trauma you need to work through BEFORE you get into a relationship, so that you don't hurt that person you love.

Carla and Samuel didn't have that problem. Carla wasn't used to being without her mask. Samuel wouldn't accept her without it, so she tried and more often than not, we saw her be real with him. being with him helped her open up. moreover, Samuel has had his income status used against him or used to mock him throughout the series. but with Carla, he didn't particularly care about his status. she never it against him. the worst she did was call him short and mediocre in bed (i smell bullshit, Carla.). with her, he was 100% forward, unashamed and refused to let her have any power over him. Carla made him be this confident.

a lot of people say that Samuel in part i of the short story was too confident, but not to me. he was this way because Carla brought it out from him. they help each other be better versions of themselves and that's why the ending made me angry and sad. this was one thing they wouldn't have broken up over.

but they did because the writers had plans. shitty ones, absolutely crappy ones, but ya know.
