Better Late Than Never

There was going to be time when Gerard had to leave the state or the country for extended periods of time. There was going to be a time when he would have to leave Angelina and hope that months from now she wouldn’t have taken all that time to just think about what they were and/or where they were going. In Gerry’s eyes he knew where they were going and what they were doing and he was fine with it. He was fine with having to always have a bodyguard around even though he thought he was guard enough. He was fine with the idea of going back to his place after spending the night at Angelina’s that was chaotic with all sorts of activities. He was fine with the idea of him and Angie never really getting alone time but just being together. he was coming around to it by now and even after leaving her and her family for months on end he didn’t see his mind changing. Even when he was casually eating out with a few friends he would still have his exes text him in a friendly manner but he literally thought nothing of it. What he had with those women was long dead and he saw no reason to entirely cut off all methods of communication with them. He liked to think of them as connections. Who knew when he would be in need of an interior designer or a model’s opinion.

This time around Gerard was sent to Greece for filming of the latest action movie. It was filled with intrigue, explosions, and of course lust, with his fellow co-star Alicia Viklander. He was set to live in Greece for four months while filming and he never minding the exotic and gorgeous locations or the fact that everyone involved in the productions lived in close quarters. Often times he was pop down stairs to Alicia’s apartment just to have breakfast or run through lines. He had gotten used to always having someone around and being by himself at times was dreadfully dull. Because of this, however, the paparazzi alluded to the co-stars being much more than just co-stars. When he talked to Angelina he didn’t remember her ever mentioning anything about it and he thought why should he? If she had she would’ve brought it up, right? And if she hadn’t….well she knew who he was working with. With these ideas running through his mind he went about his days as normally as possible with a few getaway mini vacations he took with some of the crew around Greece. When filming was done though he couldn’t be more happier to head back home to LA where he hoped Angelina was still waiting for him.

Gerard remembered Angelina’s birthday and had hoped to be back in town by then but he didn’t get that lucky. All he could do was text her to say he was sorry but he would be flying out within the next couple of days hopefully. He did this purposefully to make her wonder. Part of him wanted her to wonder if he would come back just so he could prove her wrong. His flight was scheduled in the afternoon a couple days after her birthday and he wouldn’t be in LA until a little after midnight. After saying goodbye to the stars and crew of the film he got aboard the plane that would take him to his destination and all he could remember after that was falling into a deep sleep. When he got in town he took a taxi to Angie’s house which dropped him off at the front gate. He knew that Madd had to still be awake so he text him to let him in. The only person to greet him int he entry way of the house was Madd and their trustworthy bulldog Jaques who seemed overly thrilled to see him. “Where is every one,” he asked the teen in front of him while letting his bags drop to the floor.
