So that poem that Allen wrote in his journal, "Hymn to the Virgin [David Kammerer to Lucien Carr]" I- I'm so confused by it? I'm literal shit when it comes to breaking down poems, and I don't really understand what Allen was trying to convey? I'm so confused and frustrated over this story and I'm sad and I'm dumb :(((( Help? Someone? Anyone? Pls?

here’s the poem for those who havent read it. it’s the one they adapted into the poem allen reads to lucien in kill your darlings (which has the same meaning i’m about to describe lol)

basically it’s just allen projecting his feelings for lucien onto a poem that is supposed to be david asking lucien to open up to him and have a relationship with him. allen, being the Great Sympathizer, strongly resonated with david’s plight and the ~tragic romance of his love for lucien. in the poem he describes lucien as a bunch of contradictions, likely because he saw lucien as very flirty/sexual toward him and david – ”leading them on” but never actually giving anything to them romantically or sexually – and asks him to “release his hoarded soul” and “know entire co-mingledness” (meaning, stop holding back his supposed feelings for them and have a full romantic/sexual relationship) before it’s too late and they both die never knowing the possibilities of their love.

tl;dr: allen is sad that lucien put him and david in the friend zone and he’s asking him to go Full Homo

Supernatural needs to live up to take advantage of its characters...especially the monsters and angels.

Like that sloppy cover-up of the dead Lady of Letters?  WTF was that?  Castiel is an angel.  He could have disappeared the van and the body without a trace.  Instead he had Dead push it a foot off the road and hid it behind some trees. 

Dean and Mary knew of Sam’s location down the the city and state, but they drove further away by going back to the bunker FOR AN ENTIRE DAY while Castiel, the angel went to scout locations.  He could’ve done that while Mary and Dean were on route.  The whole “I don’t know how to be around mom” conversation could’ve been had a gas station.

If they want to heal Sam FINE, but literally how hard is it to show Sam collapsing in pain and Dean begging Cas to heal him…and then he does it.  So it’s not so shocking and lazy to just find Sam inexplicably healthy in the last scene.  Even if they heal his body, his mind would still need some time to recover.  

Dean’s whole “Taken” moment was so overblown.  He stood there and got himself caught and then fired a warning shot instead of killing the bitch that tortured his brother for at least two days straight.  

We know Sam and Dean love each other.  So where was the EPIC broment we were waiting for?  There wasn’t even a hint of it, but I’m so glad I got to see Rowena on a fucking date.

Is anyone gutsy enough to go ask J2 a serious question about the show instead of asking about their wives, kids and them being Fathers and pranks? Just let them know that the questions are for the writers but since we can’t reach them. 1. Do they really think incorporating rapey, abusive torture scenes is a good idea if they don’t care about the aftermath at all?

2. How is it possible that they are so obsessed with Sam being tied and tortured like this and at the same time also obsessed with normalizing it to the point where BOOM Sam is now healed and serving tea? Do they really think its possible for a torture and physical/mental abuse victim to be just … OK? Because Brother and Mom are alive? Is it because a) Sam is a Man b) Sam is Sam and he has faced so much torture and abuse that now it doesn’t even phase him and its just another thing that he is just OK with and has accepted?

3. If Sam were a girl - will they still be showing him in a ‘Romamtic’/Sexual scene with his abuser. So basically because they have implied that Sam was raped by Lucifer - Now we are taking the next step and Sam’s torturer will just be his lover? Mind raping is now ‘Romance’ to dabb? Is this the message they are trying to give? That someone should have so less self worth that they’d think its OK to have your abuser/rapist as your lover?

4. Why are such sensitive issues and elements taken up? Why show Sam being tortured so elaborately just to forget about it and act like it didn’t happen - only mention the torture the NEXT time he is getting tortured? There is no sense in including these heavy scenes if SPN Show runner and writers will treat it with such insensitivity.

5. Why are there writers on the show who don’t know the basics of it and have NO idea about how to utilize Jensen and Jared’s strong chemistry?

6. Why is there such a disconnect between J2 and some of the writers? Why is the show runner talking about emotional reunions and then Mary’s reunion with ‘John’s car’ and Dean’s reunion with Pie was more emotional than Sam and Dean’s?

7. Why was Dean’s rescuing of Sam was so overblown only for Dean to get caught and then .. Nothing? So Dean is now only going to hurt someone who hurt Sam if Sam is hacked in 2 pieces instead of being in one piece?

8. Sam is tortured for 2 days and Dean didn’t go after Toni? There was a time when Sam being hurt sent Dean into a frenzy - That is how he was JUST LAST SEASON. And then suddenly the writers who wrote this nonsensical episode think that Dean will just be that calm after seeing Sam’s condition? Are we going to leave everything off the screen - like how is Sam healed? Why is he having family time after the next scene where he wasn’t even in a state to stand properly?

9. Is lack of reaction the new it thing on SPN? Torture, mind rape - no reaction. Sam is being tortured - his family is at home waiting for a call.

10. If others don’t care - fine. Where is Sam’s perspective on the aftermath of being physically and emotionally violated for 2 days. Oh, or wait. Its because Sam is too strong and has been tortured for centuries - so 2 days of torture hardly matters?

11. Do J2 realize how horrible some of the writers are with the canon of the show and just how disconnected they are from each other? They all write Sam and Dean differently according to the situation?

I don’t understand why Dean was hanging out at the bunker instead of in Missouri searching for Sam. I just looked it up and it’s more that’s six hours away. Why in the world would Dean Winchester, who had in the previous episode “gone Liam Neeson” snapping a phone, etc. because of his desperation to find Sam do that? Why would he hole up that far away from where his kidnapped brother possibly was being held? Just let Cas handle it even though Dean had to coach Cas over the phone as to what to actually do to find leads on where Sam was?

 I just don’t get it at all. It makes even less sense than why Dean would let Toni just walk away. What is happening here? Why is Dean not Dean in this episode? Is it just because his mom is there?
