They asked me 'How do you know it's real love?'
I smiled. I actually laughed as my eyes started to glow. I simply said, "Whenever I conclude praying, I always mention my loved ones in my du'a. I ask Allah ( سبحانه و تعالى ) to grant peace to their hearts, and ease their pain.
When the night is dark as it is nearing the dawn of a bright new day. I sit and speak to Allah about them, and their affairs, whilst the whole world is in deep slumber; mentioning and pleading my Lord to give them everything that their hearts desire. I make my sincerest supplications to my dear Lord to protect them, their families and grant them all a place in Jannah. I ask Allah to heal their shattered souls. I ask Him to let the sun shine warm upon their faces and let the rain fall soft upon their skin.
And, I will always mention them in my prayers, even if we have lost our connections or we are not meant to be together in this Dunya.
I know they will always remain safe and sound under my Lord's care.
