i know most people aren't interested in my story anymore but i'm really passionate about it so i will keep posting, even if no one reads it :)

there was a moment of silence. i couldn’t help but notice his muscle in that shirt.. he looked good and i hate to admit it but he did. oh shit, did he notice i was staring?

brandon: like what you see? 

brandon winked. i kinda felt a weird feeling in my stomach, also, i think i was blushing. yes, i was definitely blushing. 

eva: what? no.. i wasn’t-.

brandon: well, it totally looked like you did, also, you’re blushing soo..

eva: no, no, i would never.

brandon started laughing, this was probably very funny to him.

brandon: i’m just messing with you. but come on, let’s play along with it for a while. if you start to feel uncomfortable or something we’ll just “break up”.

eva: you know, we have done a lot of weird things, but this is top tier.

brandon: okay so, hear me out, what if we pretend that we’re dating?

eva: what did you just say?

brandon: just think about it, if they think we’re dating i bet they would leave us alone. 

eva: you really think?

brandon: it worked with carter at your office. 

eva: he’s probably just scared of you to be honest. 

brandon: he should be. 

we both started laughing. the thought of us pretending to be together was, kinda weird, not gonna lie. but brandon was right, they would finally stop yammering on about us being a couple.

we were leaving at 8am, which is way too early for me by the way. and of course, brandon was late. he finally arrived at 8.15am.

eva: you’re late. 

brandon: yeah sorry, i just didn’t want to come, at all. 

eva: a weekend alone with my family? how could you NOT be excited about that?

brandon started laughing.

eva: do you want to know what my mom put in my bag? condoms.. yes, condoms.

brandon: are you for real?

eva: yes.. they thinks that we’re dating. i don’t know where she got that idea from. 

brandon: yeah, my parents think so too. it’s getting pretty annoying.

eva: i have told them MANY times we’re just friends but she keeps telling me that i don’t need to hide it. 

brandon stayed silenced for a minute. i saw he was thinking about something.

eva: hey, what are you thinking about?

the rest of the week flew by pretty quick. since brandon punched carter he has been keeping his distance. hopefully he finally learned his lesson to stay away. he definitely deserved it though. today was saturday, which meant we’re going to the lake house. neither brandon or i were excited about it.

dylan came closer and gave eva a hug.

eva: uhm..

dylan: you don’t know how happy we are! we seriously thought you would never find a boyfriend! thank god brandon exists.

eva: mom, we’re not together! how many times do i have to tell you before you realize?!

dylan: oh silly eva, no need to be shy! you know we only want what’s best for you!

eva: stop! seriously. stay the hell out of my personal life!

i was furious and went straight upstairs, back to my room. i’m so mad at my moms and brandon’s parents. why the hell do they KEEP talking about us. i have to admit, i did think about it but no, no way we ever would be together. i don’t want to lose my best friend.

later that night, i went downstairs to grab a little snack. my mom came running up to me.

dylan: there you are sweetheart!

eva: uh yeah, i live here too.

dylan: i can’t believe you haven’t told me the amazing news yet!!

eva: what news? 

dylan: don’t be silly! that you and brandon are FINALLY dating! it was about time! 

eva: wait, what did you just say?!

dylan: maddison called me earlier! i’m so happy for you darling!

i can’t believe this. why are our families so obsessed with us. i’m so done with this bullshit.

meanwhile at brandon’s house, someone knocked on the door.

maddison: hello erin.

erin: is brandon home?

maddison: no, he’s with eva. 

erin: oh, okay.

maddison: i heard that you guys broke up.

erin: yeah, he’s dating eva now.

maddison: wait, what?!

maddison (thinks): oh my god, i HAVE to tell dylan and audrey!

erin: i still don’t get how he can like her more than me thought. like, just look at me, i’m irresistible. 

maddison rolled her eyes and shut the door.

brandon: hey! not fair!

he pulled me closer to him. i fell with my head on his legs. 

eva: you screwed me too! if i’m going down, you’re going down with me.

i know he’s playing with me. i winked.

eva: come on, it won’t be that bad. it’s just a weekend. 

brandon: okay so, you know i love your parents and even thought it’s just 2 days, i don’t think i can spend a weekend with them constantly talking about us being a couple. 

eva: just ignore it, like we always do. please come with me, i don’t want to spend the weekend alone with them.

brandon: fine.

brandon started tickeling me.

brandon: you know, sometimes you’re a pain in my ass.

eva: yeah, that’s why we’ve been friends for so long.

we both started laughing.

eva: do you want to watch a movie or something? we could order some pizza.

brandon: i was in when you said pizza.

dylan sat on the couch next to them 

dylan: while you’re here, i wanted to talk about something. 

eva: sure, what’s up?

dylan: we’re planning on going to the lake house this weekend. 

the lake house was a family retreat where we would go a couple times a year. to be honest, i didn’t want to go at all. 

eva: great, have fun.

dylan: i thought you were coming with us.

eva: i already have plans. 

brandon: what plans do you have eva?

of course he had to ask that, he loves to annoy me.

eva: you know, just plans. you don’t need to know everything brandon.

brandon: she doesn’t have any plans. come on, it’s eva we’re talking about. i think she would LOVE to go.

dylan: really? that’s amazing! it’s going to be so much fun! harper is coming too!

i had to annoy him too. he won’t get away with it this time.

eva: and what about you brandon? i bet he’ll LOVE to spend the weekend with us. right brandon?

brandon: uh, i have plans.

eva: oh no you don’t.

dylan: lovely, it’s settled! see you two later!

dylan got up and walked away.

dylan walked in the living room

dylan: oh, hey brandon! i didn’t know you were here! did i interrupt something?

eva: no, you didn’t.

dylan: i could just go back upstairs and listen to some loud music. or you buys could go into eva’s bedroom and i can play some loud music here if you’d like to be intimate.

eva: mom, please. stop it!

dylan: what? i’m just trying to be considerate!

brandon started laughing.

eva: she’s brooke’s friend. remember when they came up to us at the bar?

brandon: ohh yeah, i remember her. she’s kinda cute.

brandon: alright, i will.

eva: now.

brandon: okay okay.. done!

eva: great!

brandon: (laughs) that was fucking awesome! 

eva: (laughs) thanks. now, block her.

brandon: you don’t have to tell me twice! i know this sounds bad but i’m actually happy to be on my own for once.

eva: what’s the first thing you’re going to do now that you’re a free man?

brandon: there’s a new episode of the walking dead on tv tonight. so i’ll probably watch that. 

eva: you’re so boring brandon. why don’t you go out or something? you need a rebound.

brandon: i don’t know. maybe it’s too soon.. i just broke up with her yesterday.

eva: i’m not saying you don’t need to jump into a relationship or anything, just, you know, have some fun.

brandon: yeah, maybe you’re right. why not?

eva picked up the phone.

eva: sorry, brandon is busy right now, i’m afraid you’ll have to call back later.

erin: wait, what? is that you eva? why can’t he talk to me? i need to explain this whole situation! give him to me!

eva: well.. he’s currently sitting naked on my bed and i’m about to join him, so yeah, see you later! 

eva hangs up.

they continued to talk for about 10 minutes when suddenly brandon’s phone went off. 

brandon: now she is fucking calling me? what the hell does she want?

eva: give me your phone.

brandon: what, why?

eva: you’ll see, just give it to me already.

brandon went over to eva’s house to talk about this whole situation and how he’s feeling. they sat on the couch together.

brandon: when i told her that erin and i broke up she didn’t even seem, like, upset or sorry or anything. she did say that she was sorry but i know she didn’t mean that. and then she started talking about me getting into a relationship again and about her and mom’s relationship. can’t i ever get some rest?

eva: i fully understand you, if it makes you feel any better, my family is just the same, as you already know. how do you really feel about everything that happened?

brandon: honestly? i was so fucking blind. i should’ve ended things with her a long time ago. deep down i knew we weren’t going to work out but i just ignored everything

eva: don’t blame anything on yourself. you’ve always been so loyal to her and she goes off and fucks someone else. just because she “thinks” you’re cheating with me. like, what the hell? she should’ve talked to you first.

jane: oh, really? i’m sorry. your mom and i really want you to find the one and settle down. i’m sure you’re going to find the perfect girl.

brandon: mom, i’m 21.

jane: i know, but your mom and i got married at 20. 

brandon: i’m not like you guys mom! ugh, i don’t want to talk about this, i’m going to eva’s house.
