After nearly three to four years of having this account I’ve realized I never formally made an intro post, my apologies!!

i would love to introduce my basically diary! ˖ ⁺ (a girlblog essentially . . Whoops) I tend to use this blog as a catchall for everything, from personal posts to fandom reblogs or thoughts and opinions ^^ tmi is really scares here, my formal apologies I really just post anything and everything on here, this is a MySpace for me lol.

interests and fandoms : aviation! I am a huge aviation nerd, my favorite planes currently are the T-38, the a-10 warthog and Cessnas :) also the big birds like the c-130, as well as helicopters but I love any and all aviation, I find it super fascinating and I have a private pilots license!! Aviation history and the mechanics behind them are some of the coolest things to me. I also dabble in a bit of the iron lung and in space with mariplier fandoms, red dead redemption ( both games!) older call of duty games ( I have played the newer campaigns but I’m not a huge fan of them and I tend to interact with more of the older games media) top gun and top gun Maverick ( occasionally! I go in phases of being in and out of the fandom) The walking dead ( show and games!! I miss the walking dead games) dredge, Star Trek and Star Wars, tlou, life is strange, band of brothers, masters of the air, generation kill, ( if you can’t tell, I’m also a huge history nerd!) warrior cats ( and old interest, I haven’t read anything past the book where fire star dies and I am old and out of touch but I do like the fandom and occasionally revisit for nostalgia) no I’m not a human, the Raven cycle, the hunger games ( more so the books but I do love the films too) hollowknight and Silksong, save the princess ( such a good game i HIGHLY recommend)

I don’t know if top gear counts as a fandom but I love that show and I wish it had an actual fandom.

and recently I’ve been getting into the project Hail Mary and thunderbirds fandoms !

music : jazz instrumentals!!!!! Noah Kahn, Hozier, Adrianne lenker ( my beloved), the fleet foxes, and hanging my head in shame, shitty 2000s pop and 90s rap, I’m not immune to britiney spears and pit bull I’m sorry. I also enjoy crossfade, Lincoln park, buckcherry and a bit of three doors down and shinedown :)

hobbies : hiking!! reading, multiple art mediums!!, crocheting, writing ( when I have the motivation, staring at my various wip fanfics and original stories) , journalling/scrapbooking, dog training, I’ve been working on doing bitework and heel work with my German shepherd :), working on cars, road tripping and calisthenics

fav topics : philosophy, psychology, mental health, fandom discussions, debate ( yes politics included, I love debating political philosophy and ideals, I do not consider myself a liberal or a democrat, and while I won’t get too heavy handed with ideals in this post, fair warning I do consider myself to be a left leaning person, and that I firmly believe both republican and democratic parties are one of the same coin, and neither are good, or “better” or “more politically righteous and correct” than the other . They are politicians and politicians are corrupt, trumps Republican Party is vile and disgusting but I personally do not believe that absolves the Democratic Party and administration form any wrong doing either, and that our two party system is a sham, both sides are just as bad as each other and both are corrupt and horrible and the American administration is terrible and disgusting and despicable and we’ve never really had a president or administration that truly cared about its people for a very long time. 👍 I try to avoid political talks here and prefer to it I am talking philosophy with someone to have it private but fair warning I am in the military, that does not mean I support trump or that i support how the current administration uses the military, if that upsets you then you do not have to interact with me, but please do not feel the need to harass or insult or badger me about my political ideals simply because I am in the military without formally asking me what my takes on the military are, I am more than happy to talk about my time in service, what I think of the military, how it’s service members get treated, how it is used and such if you ask and as long as you respectful to me and are not making incredibly uneducated assumptions :)

I enlisted when biden was still in office in 2023, and unfortunately got stuck with my contract with trump’s administration, if I’d have been able to break my contract before trump was president I’d have done it, but unfortunately I can’t read polls with mind reading powers and I still have about three years of my six year contract to go, so rest assured no I do not agree with anything the military is currently doing or with any of trumps ideals

I don’t have any formal dni for this page as I tend to usually just block people if I for some reason don’t want them interacting with me, but I do tend to avoid interacting with people under 21 simply because I’m 25 and it makes me feel a bit odd to be interacting with people five to six years younger than me, but that is to say I’m not going to hound you if you are and stumble across my page lol, I just occasionally post some tmi things and on the rare occasion reblog mature content and I don’t want to be like pushing that to minors feeds if that makes sense! I honestly don’t care if minors interact with my page I just try to avoid it in fandom spaces or when talking personal things because again it just makes me feel odd that’s all

I love interacting with anyone whether we’ve been mutuals since I joined tumblr or we just Imooted today :) tmi does not exist in my vocab or really any of my posts, don’t feel shy to interact with me at all, I will literally talk with anyone.

i absolutely LOVE having long philosophical conversations and discussing about recent revelations i'm like to believe I’m open-minded with all interests, beliefs, spirituality and controversial opinions so don't be afraid to dm and share!

Fun facts maybe??

— I have two pets, a German shepherd named copper who lives with me currently and a very fat orange cat back home named tater :) ( pictures provided below) you may occasionally see photos of them on my blog, I have a motorcycle, which is probably the worst financial decision I have ever made in my entire life because where I’m currently stationed it rains a fuck ton and I have to drive that to work every day sopping wet, and im half creek/ half Cherokee and half Puerto Rican from my moms side :) unfortunately, she never got to teach me Spanish so for any Spanish speaking moots I will save you the horror of trying to read my very bad Spanglish.

These are hard, I can’t really think of too many fun facts about myself, I use to beg my mom to let me get one of those mermaid tails as a kid and then got very upset when she told me people drowned in them so no I could not be a mermaid for my twelfth birthday, and I did comparative swimming all throughout highschool and middle school

I use to be a civilian emt before I enlisted in the army, and I enlisted for my paramedic license and the gi bills after service, as I can’t afford college without putting myself into massive debt with loans and I couldn’t afford my courses for my paramedic classes because it was WILDLY expensive for two years of classes and there was no way I could afford that, now I have my paramedic and it will carry over to civilian life after my contract is up, and I plan to continue as a paramedic once I get out :)!! First responders get all the love around here from me 🩵and if anyone who is also in the first responder or medical community on here needs a shoulder to talk to please feel free to dm me anytime, i understand how difficult this line of work is and I’d much rather talk to a stranger that’s struggling than know our community has lost someone to the bad points in this career

I so totally agree on your ghosy getting a cover up tattoo headcanon, like that’s such a delicious headcanon, do you have anymore ghost headcanon ideas? I hardly ever see fandom posts about 09 ghost anymore =(

I do indeed, and these all apply to 09// comic ghost since I don’t really dabble too much in the reboot series outside of Farrah and Alex and like, maybe Alejandro Rudy and Valeria, I wasn’t a huge fan of the reboots so I tend to not interact with the reboot content as much, and I’m just privy to the old games 😞 so 99 percent of any cod posts I make applies to the original series.

I don’t really write for the cod fandom unfortunately so I’m sorry if that’s more what you were looking for, and I’m not very involved in the shipping side of the fandom bc it’s not just rlly my thing, sorry ghoap or ghost roach (? I do not know their ship name, please let me know what it’s called ! ) there’s not gonna be a lot of shipping headcanons unfortunately, but I’ve got some other headcanons to throw around here and there

Honestly kind of a hot take but I do really like Ghosts design in the comics, it separates him visually in art from reboot! ghost and I do like brunette ghost, I wish they’d have kept his pigeon looking blue eyes from his game model in mw2, but the brown eyes have grown on me and it’s such a little detail that I don’t really care, and when I draw ghost I tend to switch between the two pretty frequently, but I’ve found myself using brown pretty often recently so!! I think the comics ARTSTYLE is a bit silly at times, there’s so very uh… silly drawn panels in there but at the end of the way I still like the way he’s drawn, even if the comics are essentially edgy shock material and stuffed to the brim with as much trauma you can give a character in one go.

I like to drawn Simon with a Roman nose :) I know he’s not depicted like that in the comics, but I’ve always liked that headcanon, and I love drawing him with that feature. Most of my ghost character design is pretty comic accurate, but I’ve been reading this wonderful fanfic recently where the author stated they imagined ghost to look like Zidane and honestly I really like that idea 😭 i totally see it, like 1998 zidane I can absolutely see as a solid faceclaim for comic ghost. shout out doodoowriter on ao3 I’ve been really enjoying their comic ghost fanfic recently called “the going rate” and I love the characterization in it so I highly recommend checking them out!

I also have a headcanon about ghost enjoying long rucks. ( because he’s crazy. I have never met a person in my life that goes YAYYY ruck time!! And i certainly don’t but he just seems like the type) I don’t typically headcanon him as like a gym bro per se, but more of a compulsive workout person. And rucking in nature or going on long but slow paced rucks in like a park or something as a less harmful way of handling those compulsive tendencies.

I’m a huuuuuge fan of comic ghost specifically having ocd, and I believe it’s hinted at with his nightmares possibly being harm ocd, as someone with ocd myself, I am not immune to projecting that onto characters I like, but I do really feel like the comics sort of imply without implying he has ocd tendencies at the minimum if not full blown ocd, and the compulsive working out is sort of a biproduct of that, as someone who has also struggled with compulsive needs to workout from my own tendencies as well. Idk, I think a lot of his behaviors could very well be compulsive tendencies, and I’m again a big fan of that headcanon in specific.

Also we’re never given a specific age for ghost in the comics but I kinda always thought he was like 27-28 at the minimum during the roba mission, and then going into his 30s in mw2 ? Not too sure, I tend to usually imagine him at like 29-30 though if I’m honest, I see varying depictions of his age in the fandom but since we’ve never been given a solid age ( to my knowledge) it’s kinda wishy washy and up to whoever on what they want for their story lol

I don’t have tooo many for ghost, so I think that’s about it for now but if you have any headcanons you’d like to share !

Clasping my hands together,

Top gun maverick and Brad centered ejection fanfic ( name pending?? It’s literally called big kaboom in my google docs idk what to tell y’all lol) should be posted this weekend :), originally I had planned to write a good chunk of everything and post it all in one go, but I really don’t trust my laptop to be able to handle that if I’m completely honest, it overheats like mad, so I’ve devised that I’ll post two to three chapters at a time instead, which also makes it easier for me to edit them after posting and look for typos I’ve missed ect, so the prologue to chapter three will be posted this weekend, sorry for the wait! I’ve recertified my paramedic which was what was taking up so much of my time and I am soooo thankful that’s over and done with so I can focus on other things again and not pull all my hair out lol.

Rehabilitation center nearby is closed for animal drop offs at the moment so, I’ve been advised to keep it overnight and then bring it in in the morning to have it checked out and see if it can be placed somewhere that’s not on base

It’s so sad rouge was one of the more unpopular games in the series, i enjoyed it as much as ac3 and black flag and those were my personal favorites out of the series

I’m planning to start my schooling for icu nursing soon and I’m just curious as to what your opinions on this topic as someone also in a medical field,

Do you think you need to have a natural tolerance to blood / gore / vomit Ect to be in this sort of field?

Do you think people with phobias for these sorts of things are not meant to work in these types of fields?

And no, I don’t. No one has a natural tolerance to the things you’ll be seeing working in a medical field, are some people less bothered by it because of previous experiences? Yes, I grew up on a farm, I dealt with a lot of nasty gross things with cattle and goats, but that doesn’t have correlating to the things you’ll see working in the medical field. It can prepare you perhaps, give you a better tolerance to handling certain things but no one has a “natural tolerance” to seeing someone plastered against the road in a car accident and no one has a “natural tolerance” to doing cpr on an elderly patient or a young child.

I also have a fear of vomit, don’t feel ashamed of it, my issue is it’s not the vomit itself that gives me the heeby jeebbies it’s the smell lol.

The thing with going into a medical field that’s important to remember is to build a tolerance to these sorts of things, because your own health and mental wellbeing will suffer and your patients will also suffer the effects if you cannot build a tolerance to things like blood, broken bones, Ect. But you aren’t at a disadvantage just because you aren’t exposed to it or don’t have a tolerance to it just starting out. Work on building up your tolerance to it, but don’t bombard yourself to the point where you feel burn out.

From a realistic standpoint, someone who cannot handle blood or gore or other sensative things will not do well in a medical field yes but that doesn’t mean you can’t build a tolerance to it.

Compassion burn out is a very real thing in the medical field and it’s highly important to you and your patients to avoid it as much as possible.

Do not let people tell you you are “too sensitive” to work in a medical field such as an icu or a hospital or as an emt / first responder, being sensitive is good. Being empathetic and understanding to your patients is good, getting to the point where you are not emotionally involved enough to care about the life in your care is a big issue that affects a lot of long time medial professionals because they’ve seen so many things, now it doesn’t make them a “bad” medical professional, but it is a bad habit, you do not want to get to the point where you are burn out and no longer care about the patient you are handling.

There’s a very beautiful quote from the show “the Pitt” that I think a lot of people in the medical business can relate to, "You're a sensitive person. This is a tough place for sensitive people. But we need them badly."

Any medical field is going to be tough, it’s going to be hard and it’s going to pull on your heart strings, but being sensitive is the key to being a good first responder/ nurse/ doctor or whatever it is you find yourself doing.

It’s extremely vital to remember that you are experiencing someone’s worst day, and your job is to make them feel less alone and to provide them the best care possible. Do not make your bad day reflect onto them.

Your sensitivity and empathy will make you a better caregiver.

I know I already made a post to this effect but it's so baffling to me when someone defends the fact that headphone jacks are slowly but surely getting phased out by smartphone manufacturers with some variations of "wireless headphones are more convenient anyway" bc like. If we're talking about convenience what I like about wired headphones is that they conveniently have a single plug that makes the same damn pair of headphones universally compatible with every single audio-output-capable device I own, from my phone and my computer to my fucking gameboy and my casette player, it doesn't get any more convenient than that.
