eleven! : seungmin's side
synopsis: you've been head over heels for jake, your brother's best friend since middle school; the poor boy has received way too many of your love letters that are stacked up in the corner of his room. and yet, he strikes you down every single time, but being stubborn is both a blessing and curse because when you catch him in a bad mood one day, he takes your heart and breaks it in the span of a few words. and yet, there he is wondering why he's so upset over your new friendship with the transfer student.

you had known seungmin since the age of two.
his family had moved into the home next to yours when they came over on a sunny day to introduce themselves. his beady eyes almost frightened you, but when he offered the cookies he was holding, you began to let go of your mother's hand.
similar to your story with sunoo, you easily became attached to seungmin. he was cute, giggly, and sweet. and most important, he was the boy you fell in love since the first grade when he gave you a bandaid after falling off the play ground.
of course, you weren't sure what you were meant to do with these feelings. your young age could simply not the understand the meaning of love in that instance.
by the time sunoo joined along, the three of you became attached to the hip. it was almost impossible to see one of you without the other and such expectations continued into freshman year of high school.
"i can't believe sunghoon hyung ditched us for that boy from australia!" seungmin wined, attempting to steal your cookie from your bag.
"he's fallen for the smile, but I can't blame him. look at him!" you exclaimed, admiring his visuals.
"go away with your jake fanclub yn!" sunoo teased, before noticing the upset look on seungmin. the bell rang ending the lunch period but before you could leave, seungmin pulled you to the side, asking you to meet him later.
that was the day he confessed to you.
"can you believe im finally dating seungmin!" you glanced at sunghoon who was just on his phone before throwing the pillow at his jaw.
"yah sunghoon! can't you hear me?" he only glanced momentarily before continuing to message jake.
it had been three months since the both of you got together. aside from more intimate forms of contact, nothing much had changed in your dynamic.
it was the happiest you had ever been.
but happiness can only go so far because you never expected seungmin to break up with you and leave unexpectedly.
it was the first time sunghoon had seen you in such conditions and it was then that he promised to himself to save you from a heart break.
being stubborn, you insisted on getting a response from seungmin and even took the liberty of going to his home where a big for sale sign mocked you.
no one knew where you had gone, no one, except jake, who had managed to see the bus ticket on your desk.
he was the one who found you crying on seungmin's porch and was the first to comfort you as rain poured.
now you look back to the memories. as you sit at the dinner table with jake across from you, it was a reminder of the past. because although you loved jake ever since seungmin broke your heart, some habits never change.
and his nervous eyes reminded you about how true your feelings were.
now that seungmin was back, would you still be in love with jake?
