Oh, I've never been there!
Clumsy || Jaana and Emma
"Beurk! That sounds painful," she said with a grimace as they made their way out of the produce section. Timo, she was curious now and wanted to see what this boy was like. "The most my brothers and I ever got into was a prank war and my maman stopped it after two days. You’re really into hockey, I’m assuming?"
Emma gave her a warm smile and adjusted the basket hanging off her arm. “Perfect! I know what you mean, I’m prone to burning as well. I’ll bring an umbrella, a blanket, and some sandwiches, you bring the snacks and the drinks? Is that good?” she asked.
"Oh, it was! We were really rough on each other. But trust me, I could handle myself." Jaana grinned and made a silly show of her strength. "But that was years ago. I haven't really... Timo's more into hockey than him. He's the athletic one."
She bounced happily. "Sure! I can do that! This will be so much fun!" She started to make a mental checklist of everything she'd want to bring. Lots of water because of the sun--dehydration was not an option. She wondered what snacks would work best for the beach.

I know what you mean…
It's a tough pain.
What part of "I'm a lesbian" do some people not get?
I love Sailor Moon so much! <3 (Plus, it doesn't hurt that Tuxedo Mask is my only if-I-had-to-pick-a-guy...)

Emma grinned. “That sounds about right with most siblings. Although, with you and him being twins it’s probably multiplied by ten,” she added as she spot-checked the different carrots to see if they were quality or not. “So your mom had you two and thought, ‘no, I don’t need more these two will be the death of me’ and decided not to have any more kids?”
"You do remind me a little of Aurora from Sleeping Beauty," she added. Her hair was in the perfect ringlets for the princess. "Well, if you’re available this Saturday…" she trailed off hopefully. "Perhaps we can go together?"
"Probably!" Jaana laughed. "Especially considering how often we came home scratched up after playing hockey together. Let me tell you, I don't know how we did it, but we frequently cut each other with our skates."
Jaana smiled shyly. She touched her hair self-consciously. "Thank you..." She bit her lip and then brightened. "Sure, I'll be free! It'll be so much fun! But I'll probably bring a big bag of just sunscreen. I don't need to burn again!" she joked.
And ordering food is so expensive…
I know, you have to go out and waste gas money and buy a slightly stale hamburger.
I just stay at home and eat microwave food.
It really sucks to want good food when neither you nor your brother can cook.
I feel your pain so hard.

Aw, that’s nice! Kids are great. I work at a daycare.
I think ya mentioned that… something about ont of them calling ya “Princess” or something like that…
Haha, yeah! It was super duper cute.
Well, the history I just wanted to study… I do want to help kids though and be a social worker eventually.
Aw, that's nice! Kids are great. I work at a daycare.
[giggles] Well, it’s not for everyone! But I enjoy it. What do you do?
I’m a social welfare major with history as a minor.
Oh! What are you looking to go into with that? Or is it just something you wanted to study?
I guess. I’m pre-med.
Ah… Impressive. I have major respect for people who can go into that field.

Clumsy || Jaana and Emma
Emma oohed admiringly as Jaana’s skirt rustled as it twirled. “Looks like you got a good bargain there! New clothes are the best. Here, let’s go in the produce section while we talk. I need to get some carrots there,” she suggested, before reverting back to their original conversation. “You don’t know what you have until you lose it, right? Any other siblings besides Timo?”
"That’s the way with girls and boys," she said with a laugh. "He’ll mature. Eventually. I bet you’re the better-looking one, right?" Emma grinned teasingly. "I will, I will! I already know the horrors of burning badly. I need to find someone to go with me, though," she added, wondering if Jaana would pick up on the indirect invitation.
Jaana followed Emma obligingly, fixing her bag on her hip. "Nope. It's just Timo and me. But I don't think I could stand having another besides him. We're something between super besties and rivals and worst enemies. But I don't know what I'd do without him."
Jaana laughed. "He says I act like a mother hen. And of course. I'm as pretty as a princess," she joked, tossing one of her perfectly styled curls over her shoulder. "Oh! Well, I've never been to the beach before..." She bit her lip nervously, hoping she wasn't being too presumptuous.
Seeing family is always good. It’s nice to meet ya Jaana. What are ya studying?
I guess. I'm pre-med.
Haha, yeah, I suppose so. And I just returned from home, so that’s probably why you haven’t seen me.
Ah, I see. Did ya have a nice time at home?
…My name is Berwald.
Yup! It was nice to see my family. I'm Jaana.
Kids are always cute when they do things like that… I don’t believe I have seen ya around here before but then I’m still pretty new.
Haha, yeah, I suppose so. And I just returned from home, so that's probably why you haven't seen me.
