Okay, so the handplate au is HEARTBREAKING, etc, but I can't stop laughing at the cigarettes on Gaster's desk. Like, I'm imagining the smoke coming out from between his ribs and floating up from under his lab coat or something (like Sans drinking the soda in that youtube video/shimeji). INTIMIDATING.

I was thinkin about blanket monsters the other night and then I remembered that old hyperboleandahalf post about the dog IQ test. They’re just babies Gaster, give them a break.

I'm now curious if Gaster, from your handplates AU, gives Sans and Papyrus baths or if they are smelly little skellies.

Welp now I can add “how to clean a skeleton” to my list of google searches that are going to get me on a watch list someday, along with “what kind of saw would you use to cut open a skull” and “pictures of child skeletons”.

Anyway, they probably wouldn’t really need much in the way of hygiene being skeletons (maybe??), but when they were very little, like before they could really talk much, he might have cleaned them up with some hydrogen peroxide if they made a huge mess somehow, haha. Before they got the plates, the brothers didn’t like it (what little kid likes baths after all) but Gaster didn’t particularly care one way or another, it was just something that had to be done. Once they could do it themselves he just left them to it. After the plates were attached there was no way he’d ever clean them up like that again, it’d just make them all utterly miserable.

this au is awful and im dying with every installment but i cant help but get the most out of place cute imagery of papyrus intentionally detaching his own arm after that incident and tossing it across the room if only to interact more with the only other living thing he's seen so far. maybe he's more clever than gaster gives him credit for?
