Hiii, I rlly like ur works especially ur thoughts and theories abt ndmc season 2. I have a question that I think u gonna be interested in. So when Dante got E&I we can see him in the suit he was frozen, but he still has his old red coat(and that means he got guns before new suit). And I thought a lot abt it. I think in Darkcom no one could give a damn abt some coat, but only Lady knows and could save it for him. What do you think abt that?

I'm totally on the same page with you! The coat Dante receives just after defrosting is undoubtedly his old one from S1. If you look closely, you can notice that it's slightly battered, still bearing the marks of the fight against White Rabbit. Given that Darkcom strikes me as a rather dehumanizing organisation (Baines constantly refers to Dante as an "asset", an "instrument" and what not) I doubt they would've been sentimental enough to preserve his personal belongings that aren't useful in their "holy war".
Now Lady, on the other hand, paid close attention to Dante’s sense of style. Of course, she mocked him, but there is no doubt that, in her mind, that red coat is linked to Dante’s image. I suspect she considers it utterly wrong for him to be stripped of a part of his iconic look - a part of his very essence.
Honestly, seeing how much she cares about Dante’s well-being, I like to imagine that it was Lady herself who draped the coat over his shoulders, offering him a shred of comfort in such a hostile environment. Maybe she kept his comfort coat, haunted by guilt and holding onto the hope that Dante would eventually get the chance to wear it again. But then she gonna notice that the boy's got more beef after the cryo-sleep srsly it might just be a visual trick, but in the S2 Dante really does look bigger and provides him a brand new outfit instead. After already commissioning Ebony and Ivory for him...
