I don’t think that it’s necessary a choice. A lot of fans refused to make destiel trend just to piss off Jared stans. I just think that everytime something happens in the Spn fandom, or related to one of the actors, it revives the hate for the ending and we just make posts about it and Tada, they trend. We’ve been trending a lot for nothing lately and this might be the same thing happening right now. Note that these aren’t the destiel tag, #supernatural is trending therefore it could be J2 fans tagging Jared and Supernatural in their posts too and it participates in erasing the Walker tag from the top 9.
