EXECUTION - MIN-YUN YI
MIN-YUN YI, SUPER HIGH-SCHOOL LEVEL MAKNAE, HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY.
COMMENCING EXECUTION . . .
[Dramatical Irony!]
Min-yun opens her eyes on a stage. It’s a familiar enough scenario, except for the fact that she’s the only one on the ground, and she can’t see anything. Also…shouldn’t she be dead? Shakily she stands, squinting against the bright lights that are shining onto the stage. Too bright. There are five figures around her, all dressed in glittery skirts and heels. Seemingly in shock, Mimi scrubs tears from one of her eyes and stares at the girl next to her. Even though the other girl doesn’t move from her pose, Min-yun’s face lights up brighter than you’ve ever seen.
"Eli! You found me!"
The girl, apparently the Eli that Min-yun has mentioned before, doesn’t respond. Still, Min-yun smiles happily, examining the backs of the rest of the group members- all she can see from her position.
You, however, can see the whole scene. You and your classmates make up the front row of the crowd. Despite the thousands of people in the audience, it’s eerily silent aside from Min-yun’s cheery voice. When you turn to look behind you, you get a shock- the crowd is full of paper people, shoddy excuses for faces drawn on in expressions of boredom. When you look back up at the stage, you realize that Min-yun has no idea- the lights are blinding her. Even more horrific is the faces of the other idols, staring out at you. They’re waxy, like dolls frozen with their faces in perpetual pain. Min-yun can’t see this either. She continues to smile in her impression that she’s been reunited with her group.
[♫♫♫♫]
Suddenly there’s the sound of loud interference over the speakers, and a cheery pop tune begins playing. Min-yun looks surprised, but instinctively moves into position to begin the dance for 6star’s hit song. This couldn’t be a punishment, could it? Sure, her eyes hurt, and the music was a bit loud, and it was hot onstage, but she wasn’t being torn apart. Maybe, if she made it her best performance ever, she’d live.
Her face fixes into a dazzling smile, only reduced by the dry tear tracks down her cheeks, and she begins to dance along with the ‘members’ of her group. You watch from the audience as she twirls and steps around the dolls, obviously in her element- and not realizing how creepy the figures she’s dancing with are. The song is cheery, not matching the tone of the scenario at all. The pained faces of the group members stare blankly into the equally blank audience, moving mechanically, stiffly. Min-yun is the only one showing any life, any energy.
As she dances, she begins looking more and more confused… as well as worried. When would the execution begin? Was she just meant to dance herself to death? As she steps in front of the other idols to begin her rap solo, she stares frustratedly into the audience, trying in vain to see what’s in the crowd. The lights may be too bright for her, but they don’t prevent you from seeing what’s happening behind her.
You watch in horror as the models of the idols behind her freeze, begin moving forward towards her tiny form as she continues rapping, smiling out at the crowd despite the fact that she can’t see who’s there. A performer until the end, it would seem. But, alas- the faces of the idols seem to be warping, melting off under the heat of the lights to reveal harsh metal forms with glowing red eyes. Some of your classmates try to yell- maybe even you- trying to warn Mimi of the terrifying machines behind her, but the music only grows louder, drowning out your voices. By the time Mimi’s rap is over, five sharp-looking robots stand in puddles of wax and torn fabric onstage, surrounding her ominously.
The unfortunate maknae waves at the crowd, turning back to take her place for the chorus…and freezes at the sight of them, closer than they should be. A shrill scream cuts through the background track as she takes a step back, holding her hands out to try and fend them off. The microphone falls from her hand, hitting the floor with a burst of interference. Still, the energetic chorus continues to play as she takes another step back, and another, until her heels are hanging off the edge of the stage. The figures haven’t moved. They seem to watch her as the song ends, fading into a silence- and then Min-yun realizes that the crowd is dead silent. As the machines take a step forward, the lights abruptly cut out, apart from a single spotlight settling on the scene onstage.
Poor Min-yun Yi stands cornered by the metallic corpses of the people she loves most, on the stage that is the only place she’s not useless. You can hear her weak sobs in the ominous silence, the only sound in the room. The robots have stopped an arms-length from her. She doesn’t seem to know what to do- the stage is too high. You’re almost looking straight up at her now, in your front-row seats.
"Take a bow." A female voice rings out in the room. It’s cold and harsh, and Mimi seems to recognize it.
Slowly she turns to face the crowd, eyes blearily focusing. The expression on her face is sheer terror, the hundreds of ways she could die obviously circling her mind- that is, until her gaze settles on you, her classmates, in the front. Those she’d saved with her crime. Her friends, staring back at her with various degrees of pity, distress, anger, sadness.
That’s right. An idol never shows it when they’re sad.
Min-yun’s face twists into a smile, and she opens her mouth to speak. All that comes out is a weak “Thank-”
Four razor-sharp arms shoot out, grabbing her and holding her in place. The sharpened metal digs into her, drawing blood, staining her sweater and running down her arms. She screams in pain, yanking against her restraints and looking desperately into the crowd, as if someone is going to come save her. Finally, she gives one last tug, one of the arms seeming to come loose- she’s free, and-
The arm of the last robot plunges through her chest, cutting out her final screams forever. In the end, the body of Min-yun Yi hangs limp at the front of the stage, still supported by the arms of her group members, blood dripping into the audience from the hole where her heart once was.
And to think, you got front-row seats! There are people who’d die for those, you know!
>>MIN-YUN YI HAS BEEN EXECUTED.

Min-yun | I'm Fine, Thank You | Vote Reaction
Min-yun falls silent as the students around her begin voting. Her hands are fisted in her skirt, her mouth open and ready to spout another excuse- but there’s no point. She raises her head to see her own name projected onscreen.
Ah, you failed again, Mimi.
Her eyes fill with tears as she straightens up…and smiles.
"You guys are really smart, huh…? I couldn’t match up…"
Oddly enough, the look on her face is more genuine than any of the practiced, televised smiles she’s given thus far. It would seem she’s…genuinely proud of them?
"You’re right…I killed Orino-ssi. I…I’m sorry for lying to you all. I was…s-scared. It was pathetic of me…"
"Ah, I guess I should explain…"
She wipes the tears from her eyes, still smiling happily at everyone.
"I…I wanted to protect everyone. All my life I’ve been…called useless and pathetic. And…everything about me was just…fake. But…! But, I wanted to…h-help, for once in my life. So…I had to s-save everyone from the gas."
"Ah…Orino-ssi was just unlucky…I w-was wandering around, trying to think of a plan, and she r-ran into me…and I invited her to go bowling…and thought of something on the way…"
"I just wanted to m-make it quick, so I hit her with a bowling b-ball…but…"
She wipes at the tears running down her cheeks with a sniffle. This was harder than she’d thought it would be.
"I heard her move, and I…p-panicked and…I was wearing h-heels, so I…well, idols have strong legs, you know? F-From dancing…"
A wheezing laugh.
"There was…s-so much blood…I p-panicked and tried to cover it…with the body and the b-bowling balls. There was no fight…I killed her in a cowardly way, b-because…I’m just that pathetic, aren’t I?"
With another dry laugh, she reaches down to pull up her skirt slightly. One area is discolored, like she used makeup too dark for her skintone.
"I even hit myself with one of them…that’s h-how pathetic I am. And then I just…ran…but I m-must have stepped in the blood, so I left a trail…and I hid the shoe in my locker. B-But!"
She drops her skirt, giving Chinatsu a grateful smile.
"Chi-chan found it! S-So…you caught me."
Her little speech done, she scrubs at her eyes with the back of her hand, bowing her head slightly. So she’d never see her group again. She’d be executed in some horrible way just like everyone else had been. But…
"In the end, I did save you! At the cost of my o-own miserable l-life…so, it’s w-worth it. I’m n-not even that sad!"
"Oh! Wait, um…Hi-chan…"
She steps back off her podium, digging through her pocket before scurrying over to Hisato. After some rummaging, she holds out the sheet of purikura pictures, as well as a folded-up note.
"You can keep the pictures! B-But, um, when you leave, can you try and give that n-note to the rest of my g-group? I want to apologize…"
With a sadder-looking smile, she pats him on the arm and returns to her podium, addressing the class once again.
"Thank you f-for catching me! I would have felt awful if s-someone died in my place. Um…and thank you f-for being my friends, too! I’ve never really had any friends b-before, so this was nice."
"Um…and, if it’s n-not too hard…t-try not to forget me, please…"
And with that, she covers her face and bursts into tears once again. Well.
Min-yun | Stop Worrying So Much | Trial | RE: Chinatsu
Min-yun had been perfectly content to sit quietly and let other people puzzle out the murder- but then, it would seem the distraction of the body pillow hadn’t been enough to make Chinatsu forget entirely about the contents of her locker. She pales the instant it’s mentioned, clasping her hands in front of her chest and sniffling.
"W-Well, I…I didn’t w-want to explain…"
Her face twists into a blank smile as she faces the class.
"L-Last night, I couldn’t sleep, s-so I…I left my room and went over to the other a-area. I was going to practice…so I wore h-heels…but, I saw these footprints. And…I t-thought that someone might be hurt…and- I could be u-useful! If I saved them…"
She lets out a dry laugh at that. Her, useful?
"So I followed them- and…the bowling alley…i-it was dark…and I tripped…o-o-over…I tripped on her b-body…my foot stuck in s-something…and I panicked and took my s-shoes off…r-ran away as fast as I could…"
Her eyes fill with tears as she concludes her confession, and she bows her head over her podium to hide them. Idols didn’t cry under pressure. Ah, how she wished people would support her- but they were probably just giving her looks now.
"I’m s-sorry, I shouldn’t have h-hidden the shoe…but I was…a-afraid, and I didn’t w-want to look at it. I’m sorry, I’m sorry…I was too useless t-to see if there was anyone around…I f-failed again…"
And then she proceeds to burst into tears. Well, that’s that.
[Min-yun] Discouraged by the lack of incinerator, at least that she can locate, Min-yun decides to look in the back of the sushi restaurant for a working oven big enough to fit a body pillow.
There is one small oven. Perhaps you could fit it in if you squished it in there. Go on Min-yun. Dare you.
Well! That's encouraging.
Goodbye, brave soldier.
Min-yun | Holding My Heart In My Hand! | Body Reaction
It hadn’t really been a question of if someone would die this time, more…who would die. Min-yun had firmly resigned it to being her- after all, she was just whiny and useless- and had spent the night in quite a self-induced panic. So, when she woke up and miraculously hadn’t been gutted, it was like a breath of fresh air…that is, until she actually saw the body.
Her face grows pale as soon as she sees the body, the blood spread everywhere, even if the bowling balls were a bit in the way. Blood, blood, blood…what a horrible way to die-
"Ha…hah…aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!”
She only manages to remain in the bowling alley for a few second before she’s stumbling back, thankfully not wearing heels. If her balance had been anything less than stage-worthy, she’d be unconscious on the floor, similar to poor Orino.
"No…nnnnnnnnnoooooo…"
Her breath comes in sharp gasps as she flees the scene, falling to her hands and knees outside. It was a good thing she was apparently getting used to blood. Her tendency to pass out at the sight of it had apparently devolved into simple panic, and she could at least get herself out of the way of people who were actually trying to be useful.
After several minutes of deep breathing, she manages to make it back to her feet, wiping her hands on her skirt before shuffling in the direction of the capsule hotel. She could at least do room searches. Those were relatively non-bloody.
Min-yun | Very Very Good! | Motive Reaction
Min-yun’s days have begun to blur- a never-ending wash of misery, boredom, and constant paranoia that she’ll either be murdered or somehow turn the entire class against her. These things wouldn’t happen if she just avoided everyone entirely, so she had taken to sneaking around at obnoxiously early hours to practice and then retreating to her room to hide out the rest of the day. Sometimes she ventured to the cinemas, on the off-chance she actually caught a movie, but the majority of her time is spent hiding. Not exactly the ideal idol lifestyle.
The motive catches her when she’s shuffling towards the club for more practice. It’s no encounter with a classmate, but it still makes her lurch, staring in fear down at her ID card.
"Ex…Excuse me…?"
She seems to be fruitlessly addressing the card as the cat rattles off something about poison gas.
"T-That’s…that’s not fair! Everyone will die! You c-can’t k…kill us all…can you…?"
Her face twists into disgusting tears for the umpteenth time since she’s been here. All her classmates will die, if someone doesn’t kill. She doesn’t want to die, but what if someone notices her weakness and uses her as the sacrifice? Would she really mind?
Sniffling quietly to herself, she shoves the card back in her pocket and continues her little trek towards the nightclub. If this was going to be her final performance, she’d make it good- even if no one was watching. The folded piece of paper in her pocket feels even heavier than usual.
Who was there to trust with it? Just in case, of course.
Don't Blame It On The Sunshine | Haru | Nightclub | ATTN: Min-yun
Despite her smile, Min-yun was still looking at him like a baby lamb at the slaughter. Goodness. Did he really strike such an intimidating figure? It was rather an amusing thought, but not at all the impression he wanted to give. Despite everything that had happened, it was still Haru’s hope he could be of some solace to others. If you couldn’t trust a psychologist, who could you trust?
"Of course I know your name," he laughed. "I make an effort to try to remember these things. Mimi-san… That’s a very cute nickname. I will use it if you’re amiable to the idea. I enjoy the use of nicknames, but I don’t like to be impolite unless I’m asked… I suppose they’re often used in the vernacular of pop music culture, little though I know of it. But the familiarity and affection implied by unconsciously employing a nickname has interesting cognitive implications…. Forgive me; that must be rather boring to you!"
He hid a smile behind a polite hand, but then observed that even as she stood chattering and singing like a bird, a rather worrying shine was welling up in Min-yun’s eyes. He placed a gentle hand on her shoulder and tried to seem less tall and imposing, bending the knee slightly. From the way she hastily talked on and forced a smile, it looked like Mimi-san didn’t want anybody to see her cry. He wouldn’t take away her dignity by ackowledging it, and instead responded with a gentle smile and a nod of affirmation.
"I wouldn’t say I really know any dances, but I have an idea of how the waltz goes… and I can forgive being stepped on if you can forgive my slowness."
He stepped back and opened his arms in a theatrical bow.
"Though the music may not entirely fit… Shall we dance?"
Oh boy! Min-yun tries her best to follow along with what Haru's saying, but the words are really big, and she's really tired. She finds her attention- and gaze- wandering around the room, eventually settling on the music player...until she realizes she's being rude and focuses on Haru again.
"Oh...um...well, a lot of K-pop artists use different names onstage! I use Mimi, um, and then there's...well, most of Vixx uses different names! N, Leo, Ken, Ravi, Hyuk...ah, none of those are their actual names, if you can imagine...so I'm Mimi!"
She rattles off the names of the boyband members with the skill of someone who has to recite this shit on variety shows a lot.
"It's okay, you're not boring!"
Her wandering eyes would indicate otherwise, but hopefully he wouldn't notice. Then again, given his weird notebook...
At least she doesn't seem to be about to burst into tears anymore! Haru seems to be drastically less creepy than she originally thought- she finds herself calmed down a bit by his entire demeanor. Praise. Perhaps it was for the best that she had run into him, as opposed to one of the people who apparently had nothing against accusing her of murder.
"Oh! Oh, um, okay! I can just dance in these, ehee..."
She sets the heels aside, gesturing at her worn flats instead. Nothing you'd expect an idol to go around wearing, but there were not cameras here, were they? And that was for the better. She'd cried far too much for her liking, no one would want to see that.
Now, how to dance. She drops into a curtsy, holding the sides of her skirt like she's seen in movies, before holding her arms up in waltz position.
"Ehee- you can dance to anything if you put your mind to it!"
Hisato || Captivate || RE: Area reveal, Min-yun
When Hisato woke up this morning or whenever the hell it was, he had certainly not expected to end up in a photobooth, with Min-yun - someone who, truthfully, he would have felt awkward around even before that last trial - with a pink feather boa tied around his head. Yet here he was.
He really needed to give up trying to predict this place.
"Yes. I know."
Just to clarify that he wasn’t a complete idiot.
It was only around the third picture that Hisato realised that Min-yun had been changing her pose. Actually, it was around then that he realised that all the pictures were being taken at once. Honestly, he really had no clue what was going on- this wasn’t exactly a regular thing for him, after all. He couldn’t imagine why it would be a regular thing for anyone, though Min-yun had referenced doing it at least one with presumably another member of her group. Or maybe this was just a really common thing for those who actually had friends or similar to socialise with.
The photos were taken and Hisato mimicked Min-yun’s actions, leaning forwards to peer at the screen before them.
So that was what he looked like nowadays, huh?
"…Oh. So I did." Hisato didn’t actually sound too impressed at all that he’d been recorded smiling, though he was staring at the offending photo with his neutral expression rather than anything more negative. "I’ll have to get rid of it. Can’t be seen having emotions, can I."
It occurred to him that Min-yun might not pick up on the sarcasm. Shit. Hopefully she wasn’t one to cry at such a comment; he couldn’t be dealing with a crying girl in such a confined space.
He ended up jumping a little at the pats on his arm, eyes widening for a moment as he turned to look at the maknae before registering exactly what had just happened. Oh, right, Arvid had done that before too, hadn’t he? Patting him on the back in some form of comfort or - fuck it was still strange to think - friendship. Well. It was preferable to what he’d expected should an exchange like this have occurred; Hisato had pictured Min-yun as the throw-arms-around-and-squeeze type.
At the instruction to decorate the pictures (???) Hisato was at a complete loss for a good few moments, before deciding that the best course of action would once again be following Min-yun’s. He didn’t follow it exactly of course, that would be silly (and obvious). You could clearly tell which photos were decorated by Hisato and which by Min-yun.
(Thankfully she got allocated the one in which Hisato was smiling. He didn’t need to look at that any longer.)
"…Are we done with them?"
Min-yun begins to select as many cute hearts to put on the pictures as she can. Hisato's will surely be super boring, so she has to make hers as exciting as possible! Otherwise, what's even the point? She places approximately three pink hearts before pausing and looking up at him confusedly.
"Whaaat? Hi-chan, you can't get rid of it! It's good to have emotions! Otherwise people will think you don't care about anything! You care about something, right? Like your friend the scary tree guy! Or...your games! So you should have at least some emotions!"
Someone can't pick up sarcasm, apparently. She continues to stare up at him earnestly, pumping one fist in the air as if to demonstrate that she does in fact have enough emotions for several people. At least she isn't crying- and she goes back to decorating her two pictures a second later.
After scribbling in a few Korean phrases and sticking on as many little decorations as can be deemed tasteful, she sets her pen down, clapping her hands together enthusiastically.
"Okay! I'm done! Yours look good too! Aaaah, okay, so we need two copies, so we can both keep them, right? Right, right! Okay!"
Min-yun is almost bouncing with excitement- actually, she does seem to be bobbing around slightly, but the fact that she's wearing heels does diminish it a bit. Thank god. Someone's really excited to have a friend who doesn't think they're a murderer- right? As far as she's concerned, at least.
Humming cheerily to herself, she scoots out of the booth, skipping around to the little photo dispenser on the side. Within a few seconds, she's retrieved the photos and, after a brief squeal of delight, skipped back around to hold out Hisato's copy. Please free him.
"They look really great! And now you can remember that we're friends!"
Don't Blame It On The Sunshine | Haru | Nightclub | ATTN: Min-yun
Haru almost flinched, and looked up from his solitary dance to see Min-yun stood there, pale under the flickering disco lights, tottering heels discarded on the floor. She looked… perturbed. He made sure to fix his gaze into a warm smile.
"Yi-san! I didn’t see you there, but you’re very welcome."
…Wait, his most notable feature in her eyes was still the notebook? It had been two trials since she’d first remarked on it, and he’d displayed so many other notably stellar qualities since that time… Was she particularly alert and averse to being observed? That was a very interesting trait in a celebrity. He’d have to write that down.
…Then again, this might be a self-perpetuating reputation.
He gestured to the spacious dancefloor.
"I don’t know the music, but you came here to dance, I presume? Please do join me, unless you’d rather be alone. I would be delighted to share the floor with a professional."
Haru cocked his head then and frowned slightly, becoming aware that the song was now in a rap section, with a girl’s clear voice expertly spitting through the complex verses. Wasn’t Yi-san’s speciality rapping, from his previous overhearing? …Maybe this was why she looked so startled!
He gave a broad grin.
"Why, Yi-san - don’t tell me this is you I’m hearing!"
Min-yun just stares at him like a deer in headlights for a moment. He wrote stuff down about them in his notebook, didn't he? Was he thinking of things to write about her now? She needed to be normal! What if Midori got hold of the book, and then told everyone she was horrible? That would be about as horrible as her!
"....Ah! Um, sorry, I should have made more noise..."
She snaps out of her daze, straightening up and brushing off her skirt before retrieving her shoes. While her head is bowed, she fixes her face into a smile, like she's practiced, before finally popping back up and bowing politely.
"You know my name! I mean, I guess I said it at the trial, but I wouldn't expect you to remember...you're Haru-chan, right? You can just call me Mimi if you want!"
One hand trails up next to her face, like she's about to flash a peace sign, but she seems to think better of it and tugs at her hair instead...and then proceeds to leap in surprise as her own voice comes in loud in clear over the speakers. Maybe Haru wouldn't be astute enough to notice, but then, he seemed to be always observing them...and sure enough...
"Oh! Um, yes. This is me. Don't leave me in the dark- eep!"
She sings a single verse along with it, and maybe she does perk up a bit at the memory, but that would just be silly! Only a second later, she cuts herself off again.
"Sorry! This is our, um, new song. I, uh...I didn't think they'd have it here! I guess...it isn't that new, now..."
Min-yun seems to shrink down a bit as she remembers the fact that she really hadn't seen her group in who knows how long. They can't have forgotten about her- she wasn't that useless, was she? Well...maybe. Maybe they'd found an even better rapper to replace her. She can already feel the tears springing to her eyes- but wait! Haru was still there. Mimi, don't cry in front of people. It's ugly.
She forces herself up once again, putting the same smile on her face.
"Ah, thank you! I'm not really a professional, but, um, dancing is fun! To relax, and stuff. After this stuff. Anyway, I could dance! I was going to wear these-" She pauses to hold up the heels- "But I don't want to step on your feet, ehee! Um...do you know any dances? I only know ones to K-pop...and the waltz."
just a small note, i've converted my main blog on this account into the url 'superdupergungirl', for a different group. don't be alarmed if you get asks from that url, it's me!
Hisato || Captivate || RE: Area reveal, Min-yun
He could tell this was going to go badly as soon as he took the pink boa from Min-yun, a few feathers falling off and settling on Hisato’s dark shirt. Great. Just great. He was going to be finding these damn feather for hours, he could just tell. Hisato barely had time to consider the least painful way of wearing the accessory before Min-yun had grabbed his arm, the male stumbling forwards and leaving pink feathers in his wake as he was tugged into the booth.
Welcome to hell.
Completely ignoring Min-yun for a good few moments Hisato stared at the boa, before stifling a groan and… tying it around his head. Not that he didn’t know how to wear a feather boa, of course not. It was incredibly simply, after all. No, Hisato had just determined that wearing it tied around his head like this was the least ridiculous looking, feather filled way to get around this. Either way, however, he was going to look ridiculous in these pictures. He could just tell.
(When was the last time he’d seem a picture of himself? Scratch that, an image of himself? He wasn’t one for looking in a mirror.)
"Just pick anything. I don’t mind, TBH."
Well, he’d probably hate all of them, as he assumed that all the possible background options would be brightly coloured and or patterned. Best to leave all of this up to Min-yun, if he had to take part.
…Speaking of. How exactly did he take part? It wasn’t like this was something Hisato had done before. One thing he knew however, as he thought through his options with the feather boa hanging down in his peripheral vision, was that he couldn’t simply just… do nothing. Then Min-yun would probably make him take more pictures.
Generic peace sign it was, then.
(If Min-yun was observant, she might notice a tiny, restrained, yet-still-there smile instead of his general neutral expression in one of the later pictures.)
(People wanting to spend time with him still felt strange, didn’t it?)
Min-yun seems to be too focused on trying to pick the background she thinks Hisato will be least likely to hate to notice he's putting the boa on wrong. The likelihood of her picking a non-offensive one seems to be slim, but eventually she settles on a plain blue color. No hearts or anything- of course, those would be added later. Then she finally turns to look up at him, raising a finger and opening her mouth before squinting confusedly.
"Hi-chan, you know you wear it around your neck, right? Ah, whatever! It still looks funny enough."
With a soft giggle, she turns back to the screen, setting it up to take four pictures...and then realizes that Hisato most definitely stole her peace sign. It was a good thing she had a whole idol's arsenal of cutesy gestures to make. Variety shows looooved making her do aegyo, as embarrassing as it was. Still, for the first picture, she presses her hands to her cheeks in peace signs. These looked better if you matched, right?
She purses her lips out, squishing her cheeks with her hands as the camera flashes. And then proceeds to cycle through three other different poses, despite the fact that Hisato doesn't seem to be moving. It would probably look silly, but she seems to be happy just to have him taking pictures in the first place. Her grin seems to grow with each one.
Finally, the machine allows them to look at their pictures, Min-yun eagerly leaning over the screen. She examines them closely for a moment before making a confused noise and looking back up at Hisato.
"Ah, Hi-chan! You actually smiled! You look nice when you smile!"
Apparently she has the innate ability to bring attention to dumb things like that. Thanks, Min-yun. She looks absolutely delighted by the fact, anyway, reaching over to pat him on the arm in what apparently is a substitute for a hug, before turning back to the screen.
"Okay, you can decorate those two, and I'll do these two!"
Don't Blame It On The Sunshine | Haru | Nightclub | ATTN: Min-yun
It was broad daylight in the eerie, blood-soaked streets of the third area as Haru walked, considering his options. He was tired, and hadn’t been sleeping so well. This was uncharacteristic and frustrating - there should be no reason for him to experience insomnia. He was good at organising his brain; putting away discomforting thoughts when he needed to focus on something else. But a restless energy had kept him lying awake these past nights.
"What I need," he said to himself, "Is to tire myself out."
So saying, Haru purposely strolled straight into the doors of the nightclub, despite it only being just past noon. The interior was naturally deserted. The passing lights on every surface made him pause and blink. This was his first time entering such a place - even as a teenager he’d avoided discoes, preferring to study. It was a little surreal, but oddly calming, at least in comparison to the outside. He walked over to the sound system, flicked through the CDs - recognising none of them - and put in a random entry.
The song was in Korean, which he only knew a few words of, with a peppy melody. Haru turned it up loud and walked to the middle of the dance floor, paused, and began to dance.
His moves were swaying and entirely off-beat, but oddly still graceful. Closing his ice-blue eyes, Haru almost didn’t notice the sound of the door swinging open.
Min-yun had been getting lucky in the fact that there always seemed to be some sort of music-type place in the new areas. Excluding the last one, of course, but she really didn't want to think about that. At least while she was away she could keep practicing, so that when she was returned to her group - like she knew she would, right - she wouldn't be out of shape. She knew what that did to groups. One day of not practicing, and suddenly you twist your ankle walking around onstage, or forget your lines, and then you're in the news.
A pair of very high heels in hand, she shuffles towards the nightclub, eyes occasionally flicking from side to side as if she's watching out for people approaching her. Aside from Hisato, who had miraculously agreed to spend time with her, she didn't think the majority of the class would want to be around her- or, she wouldn't want to bother them with her presence. Ah, yes, better to be a nuisance on her own time-
She swings open the door to the nightclub and freezes confusedly in the doorway. This was...her song? That was her singing, barely audible over the voices of the stronger vocalists in the chorus, but still present. She didn't think that she'd been here already...and why was someone dancing? Looking even more confused, she steps inside a bit further, already tapping out the rhythm of the familiar song on her thigh as she tries to enter with the least amount of noise possible...
And proceeds to trip, dropping her shoes, which hit the floor with a clatter.
"Geeek! I'm s-sorry! Please ignore me, I didn't, um, didn't mean to i-in-interrupt..."
Good job, Mimi! She seems to place the face of her dancing classmate a moment later, and looks even more worried, if at all possible.
"You're the one with...the n-n-notebook..."
Hisato || Captivate || RE: Area reveal, Min-yun
"Hats. Great. Wonderful."
He says sarcastically while wearing a hat.
If he’d noticed Min-yun didn’t seem herself, or seemed to be getting upset at even the slightest bit of harshness in a glance or a mutter to hmself, Hisato took no notice. He simply stood there with his hands in his pockets, watching Min-yun rifle through the accessories with a neutral look that was in stark contrast to the dread of sorts he was starting to sink into.
No, this was not his idea of a good time at all.
(Also, he strongly believed he could be standing with a killer here.)
But really, how could he leave? If he tried to shoot Min-yun’s offer down in flames she’d probably just end up crying loudly or similar, given her apparently unstable state, and he really couldn’t be dealing with that. A nightmare of a situation to him, that was. It would more than likely come back to bite him later too, he could just see it.
So looked like he was stuck here, then. Only four pictures, right?
That said, Hisato had to suppress a groan as his gaze fell on the pink accessory being held out to him, of which there were at least three things wrong with it:
It was pink.
Horrendously bright pink.
He was being asked to wear it on something that there would be a permanent record of.
Fuck.
"…Four photos. Then there’s somewhere I’ve gotta be."
Blatent lies, of course, but hopefully Min-yun wouldn’t care due to the fact he was taking the feather boa with a cringing expression.
Free him.
Min-yun can't say she honestly expects Hisato to take the boa she offers. Especially not with the way she acted in the last trial- not that she had ever been expecting that to come out. It definitely wasn't any way to make friends, that was for sure.
So, when he does take it, her face brightens up like the one time the stage managers had turned the spotlights on too fast and blinded everyone. Or something.
"Ah! Really, you'll take pictures with me? Thank you, Hi-chan! I promise, it'll be fun!"
She bows several times, apparently in gratitude, before setting the sunglasses on her nose carefully and grabbing his arm. Free him. At the speed of an animated blue hedgehog, she tows him over to the booth, only releasing his arm so that she can push aside the curtain and step inside. She had to go fast, right? Before Hisato changed his mind and left? Because really, who wouldn't?
While she waits for him to get situated, she messes around with the settings. Gosh, these were more complicated than the American ones, weren't they? At least she could read most of the dialogue.
"Eh, Hi-chan, which background do you want? There's a lot of colors..."
