Hello!
After my first exams absolutely beat my ass, and with the last one literally being this morning, I can finally write this update.
I want to start by thanking everyone who supported my previous post; everyone who liked, shared, interacted through comments, and even sent me encouraging private messages. Especially the people who offered to donate to help; and sweetheart, to the person who donated your only $3 to your name just to help my kitten—truly, thank you so much. You all moved me deeply. I spent the entire day crying because lately I had started losing faith in kind and empathetic people 😭💕.
I can’t properly put into words how happy and emotional you all made me feel, but I can at least start with a thank you—from both me and Nala.
Unfortunately, as a consequence of the blow to her head, one of her eyes ended up completely blind, and her jaw is still recovering (though she’s doing so much better now, seriously).
I’m still actively taking care of her, just like the veterinarians who treated her. I’m incredibly grateful to them as well—they’re wonderful people, and they even helped me with part of the medical expenses.
I managed to get a job—actually my very first job ever—and along with several loans, I was able to cover a large portion of the medical bills. The job is exhausting, and combined with university, it takes up most of my social life (and my mental health too, let’s not lie). Customer service jobs suck. My utmost respect to anyone who’s worked in it for more than six months and hasn’t considered starting an OnlyFans, seriously.
Anyway, I’m doing much better now. I’m still studying actively and working until I can pay off my debts, but Nala is doing much better and is out of danger, and I finally feel motivated enough to keep writing again (fuck the writer’s curse), so I’ll probably start answering some asks now (❁´◡`❁)
