At the mention of a contest, Toshinori’s lips quirked upwards, a good, genuine smile that caught the edges of his eyes softening his otherwise rather harsh features. Ah, it felt good to smile so honestly, and he wasn’t all that surprised that it was Class A’s antics that had managed to draw such a smile out of him. It would seem, in some strange, unforeseen turn of events, that he’d gone and gotten rather fond of them, too.
A hand ( his good one, considering he now had a bad one ) rose to clap against Izuku’s back, both as an act of amusement and a nice, discreet way of spurring the boy into movement once more. He had a destination in mind, and no minor coughing-slash-blood-vomiting incident was going to ruin the sparse time he had with Izuku outside of school hours.
“Ah, I wouldn’t have expected anything else from Class A! Who won, then?”
“Rikidou Satou,” he replied. “He baked a chiffon cake.”
He continued to walk side by side to his mentor, looking around vaguely. Where were they going anyhow? All Might had called him out to this meeting spot at a specific time but he didn’t mention for what or for where. Not that he minded the chance to just talk to All Might! Kind of make his stomach twist in a weird way he didn’t want to acknowledge, truthfully, but were they just at this destination to talk?
“Someone said it was cheating because everyone is weak to sweets, but hey... If that’s the way the cookie crumbles.” What an awful pun. He was a little proud of himself. “Why are we out here, sensei?”
