THINGS WE KNOW ABOUT HOUZUKI MANGETSU IN CANON:

- Was more levelheaded than Suigetsu

- Was more humble than Suigetsu

- Mastered all of the blades belonging to the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist at a young age

- Knew Kisame, at least in passing

- Wielded Hiramekarei (probably)

- Took on lots of dangerous missions and hoped becoming one of the Seven Swordsmen would improve his and Suigetsu’s status in Kiri

- (But their grandfather [?] was a Kage?? Surely even if they were from a lower caste that would make their lives at least a little less shitty???? It’s not as if Gengetsu was a traitor, he killed the Nidaime Tsuchikage ffs)
