I'm not going to go into detail since no one likes that, but basically I'm going to have extremely limited internet access until this Sunday. The Lord is testing me.

Sorry for vanishing for a few days! I was out of town and doing Bridal Shower stuff with/for my best friend, who's getting married in like two weeks -- makes me feel old guys. Anyways, I'll be getting to those really dusty drafts that I owe! Feel free to like this for a starter and I'll get it up when I can :3

     not quiet enough.        conner’s hearing could still pick up        jimmy’s bed creaking, then his steps        downstairs and the running tap.        of course, kon was a light sleeper too,        but super hearing left his awareness        on par to clarks, even when awake.        he hoped jimmy likes surprises.

       he whizzes down the stairs, not a sound        made as his steps were light as they were        super fast.         conner stood at the kitchen doorway, in        pajama pants, as he’d forgotten to slip a         shirt on in the rush.        the full moon bright in the window that        jimmy stood by, it had definitely gotten        conner in a mischievous mood.        quiet steps now, stopping behind the        other and leaning forward.

          It was probably a good thing that Jimmy didn't startle easy. Life as The Man of Steel's best friend had thrown it's fair share of surprises at him, and he had long since grown out of screaming and jump- --ing in the air when startled. At most the reaction from him was a sharp inhale between suddenly clenched teeth, and the lightest of jolts; hands clenching the glass of water between his hands.            Boo, really? This dork here——               "Sorry, I thought I was being quiet.               Didn't mean to wake you up."            He started, sheepishly, rubbing a hand over the back of his head and walking to the kitchen counter, keeping the glass between his hands as he scooted up and sat on it, another roll of thunder echoing in the background.

Jimmy doesn't own any pets, but there is this one cat that he lets into his apartment. He's not sure if she's a stray or of someone in his apartment building owns her, but she sometimes comes down to his fire escape and either hangs out outside (keeping pidgeons away, much to Jimmy's gratitude) or comes in and lounges around like cats do. He met the cat when he first moved in to the building; it was raining and she was outside on the escape so he let her in, dried her off, gave her some chicken and when he got home she was gone, but ever since then she always comes back whenever she pleases and Jimmy gives her some chicken or tuna. He calls her Pirate Cat because she only has one eye. (He's also pretty sure that she's a Maine Coon)
