What is Superstars?
It’s two webcomics set in the same universe from the perspectives of two different characters: Maple Breeze and Bailey Smith! Both are humble vigilantes just wanting to keep their city safe, but face heavy opposition from Villains and Heroes alike. They struggle to maintain their civilian lives and connections while making a difference on a larger scale.
How does that work?
Some things are yet to be set up (but are being worked towards!), but the gist of it is that on Comic Fury we will have two different comics going on at once, each updated by their respective author. The differing POV’s will on occasion showcase the same events, but will be drawn by different artists with different narration to characterize different characters, so when it does happen it should be different enough that it doesn’t feel like a waste of time to read something you’ve already read in a different font!

Trying to keep this blog alive so here's some Superstars art I've done recently! We have some more lore related content coming soon so hopefully it'll be enjoyable :) Going to try and keep this active but most of the content we make is spoiler related that we can't share just yet :(
It's been a little while, but June here to introduce you all to an important character for Bailey's POV, Ivy!
Ivy is one of Bailey's best friends(other than Maple), and they're both pretty close in bond. She's a bit more chill and casual about everything, and is the kind of indiviual that Bailey needs to be around at the moment with everything going in. Her power is mindreading, and that will allow her to hear anyone's thoughts or memories that they're thinking about in her general vacinity. Does she already know what Bailey is hiding?
Ivy is probably one of my favorite characters I've created and I'm very happy to be showing her. She will be appearing alot in Bailey's POV so I'm hoping you're looking foward to it as much as me!
Sunshine is a superhero who lives in the heart of the city. He’s an arrogant, egotistical asshole. Then again, maybe anyone thrust into stardom at such a young age would be. He’s been responsible for citizens’ safety since he was a teenager. Well, the wealthy citizens. He leaves poor or rundown areas of Pinewood city to rot, never leaving the pristine streets of the center city. We’ll be seeing a lot of him, and his eternal beef with a starving teenager throughout Superstars (Maple’s POV)!

I’m foaming at the mouth I wanna talk about her and her relationships with the people around her so bad but I CANT don’t ask me anything I WONT BE ABLE TO CONTAIN MYSELF RAHHH
One of our main antagonists, Flurry! Having been doing villainy for about 8 years now, almost half his life, he’s garnered more than a few scars to show off. Er, well, he’s much more in the business of hiding them, actually. Thank god he’s got fur to hide the constant bruising and smaller cuts!
What a fella! He’s without a doubt my favorite character, haha. All the art I draw of him tends to be spoiler-y, so I don’t post it :( But i hope to post more!!
Anyway, I didn’t put the image below the cut since the scars are so cartoonish and simple, but i’ll still tag them.
As to prevent this blog from dying completely (I was busy over the weekend, unfortunately) I’m going to start posting old art here! “Old” being a relative term, of course.
Here’s a picture of two prominent villains The Harbinger faces, Blitz (left) and Flare (right)! This was originally drawn April 4th of this year, and both of them have had slight tweaks to their design since this, but I still felt like sharing!l They’ll appear A LOT throughout Maple’s POV, so I hope you love them as much as I do!

OMG Thank you so much for your support! So the character information will be answered by one of the writers briefly! As for the drawing part! Well I must say, my favorite has to be Akane! She is a fun and interesting character to draw and her story is just so precious T^T and my least favorite to draw is Verdan because..he always comes out looking like a damn weasel! Also, you are never a bother! We love to answer these fun questions!

Writer’s Response:
When writing about the characters, we aim to the idea of creating characters people could relate with to create a sense of passion for not just us but the readers for each character. The ideas for each when writing comes from look around and taking inspiration either from events in the world or how others may act aswell as throwing a bit of ourselves in each one as a way to express ourselves. As for my favorite it’d have to be Keegan, I personally wrote Keegan in a way I can relate with and the design of him in my opinion was wonderfully crafted by our artist. Least favorite I can’t say I personally have one, I love all our creations so much.
Our second main character is Bailey Smith, who goes by the vigilante name of Rewind!
Despite the things that are going on in her life, she always tries to remain a positive and outgoing person for the people around her. She will always help those in need and even though she might not get anything for vigilanting and helping the past few years, seeing her city safe is enough to make her happy. She wouldn't trade it for anything. She actually does loves vigilanting as it gives her freedom from her life and she doesn't need to explain herself to anyone while under the mask.
Similar to Jack with Maple/Harbinger, I won't post too much about her to avoid spoilers though I will be very happy to anwser questions about her that aren't going to be spoilers to her arc and story!
First up is Maple Breeze, also known as The Harbinger!
A snappy (and painfully unfunny) cynic, he’s never been very popular. But despite his gruff exterior, he’s extremely compassionate and empathetic. For the past few years he’s dedicated his life and limited resources to cleaning his city streets of criminal pests. Vigilantism a thankless job, no pay and no benefits, but he’d give his life for his city.
I don’t wanna give away too much, because a lot will be revealed in his comic, but I’m extremely excited to share whatever isn’t considered spoilers!! Our ask box is always open, feel free to drop in :)

Minor changes have been made to Maple’s design (pants and hoodie), but in general he looks the same. Much better than his first design…. *shudders*

Maple, for me, was a way to explore the frustration i harbored for police and the american judicial system overall. He was also created as an allegory for being trans in a bigoted household. He’s definitely evolved a lot as a character since he was first conceived, though! His old art was… something, to say the least. His personality has shifted a bit over the years too -Jack!!
I don't exactly remember how the full concept of Bailey's character really came to be. I just started with the idea of the power of Time Control and created her from that. I've always wanted the power that I gave her does because it would be my way of escaping what had been going over in my life at the time of Superstars first being created, which I think in someway influcenced her character as her vigilanting is her way of escaping what has been going on in her life. I think Bailey's character came from the concept of wanting freedom. Her apperance hasn't changed much besides her clothes but my artstyle has defiently improved from her first ref. I don't believe her personality has changed much since her intial creation. Her likes and interests used to depend on what I was hyperfixated on at the time, but more recently I have been letting her have her own intrests without having to be influenced on me. -June
