It had been a pretty quiet day for him, he hadn’t even seen one of those things around the fence like he normally had. Ears perked up after hearing the house’s front door open, a small excited bark leaving the canine as he quickly stood up. A quick pause and the smaller picked his toy up before rushing to the door, tail wagging behind him quickly.

Ears lowered once he noticed how tired the other was. The canine paused, moving to drop the toy as he crawled into the male’s lap. A small worried sounding whine leaving him before he shifted to paw at his chest.
