It seems... Something is calling out to you, deep in the water. Something strange, something... ancient. But there is nothing. Nothing you can see. Nothing you can hear or touch. Nothing. Nothing.

Penumbra was used to nothingness. They knew the unsettling feeling when there is a husk where there should not be. The empty hole where there should be life. The sign of someone, something, hiding just beyond the death-ridden darkness.
It was a feeling they'd known since conciousness.
They slowly lowered themself down at the edge. Just shy of feet grazing the water's surface.
And they stared. Waiting.
Nothing happened.
It was only water. What could water do?
