Lexi raises a single eyebrow in curiosity. “What is it?”

Rue grins like a cat that got the cream, tossing a wink for added effect before backing away. “You’ll see!”

With a quiet chuckle Lexi shakes her head lightly at the girl before sliding into the front seat of Ethan’s car, where he’s fiddling around with the satellite radio. She tosses her backpack into the back seat before clicking the seatbelt into place as the boy pulls out of the parking lot and heads in the direction Lexi gave him. Her phone buzzes in her lap, a single text from Fez telling her to have a good rehearsal and he’d be there at eight to pick her up.

“He really has no idea?” her chauffeur asks as he takes a turn as Lexi instructs.

She can feel the way her grin pulls at her lips. “I don’t think so. I’ve been stressing so much about the show that I can’t imagine he’d consider me taking any time off from it for any reason, even one as important as his birthday."

fez crying when he sees lexi for the first time in s3. he would have spent months stuffing his feelings down after ash's death and suddenly sees the person that reminds him of when he was last happy.

no but in s3 fez is gonna see lexi somewhere from a distance when she's back from college. it's gonna really catch him off guard coz of all his trauma but as soon as he sees her he'll be desperate to talk to her but doesn't because he thinks she's better off without him 😭😭😭

meanwhile she might either assume he's just ditched her or knows what's happened (presumably that he went to jail and got out) and assumes he just didn't care enough to tell her. 😭😭😭

they run into each other one day and the yearning is very real but neither of them can see it because their own self doubt holds them back. fez doesn't explain why he never contacted her when he got out and she doesn't say to him she still wants him in her life 😭😭😭
