Alas, the final year of DollCon Dallas has ended. My favorite times were spent in the photography room, playing with the props and different backdrops. I'm going to be making a few posts of what I managed to snap!

First is Melon in the clouds. I loved this swing/cloud combo. It made for such dreamy photos.

DollCon Dallas is right around the corner (and it's the last year for it SOB), and this girl is ready to strut her stuff. She'll have a crown by then HOPEFULLY. I just adore her.

Hello friends! I’m happy to finally PROPERLY introduce Estella, my star.⭐️ I started working on her earlier this year, and of course I had the bright idea of starting her faceup right around Christmas—so I took a bit longer than I wanted.

My new girl all put together! (minus her faceup) She's a hybrid on an Impl Doll model body. I'm planning to have her done before DollCon Dallas! Gotta get to work.

Impldoll body arrival

Texas had a super bad storm today, so you can imagine how horrified I felt when I realized my doll body arrived unexpectedly and had been sitting there while I was enjoying the Chainsaw Man movie in theaters. Tracking didn't update, so this was a complete surprise!

My first Impldoll purchase!

Ta-da! I was shocked at how close the skin tone was to the head I ordered it for. She came with wire, an s-hook tool, a pair of hands, and a pair of heeled feet. Oh, also a magic eraser.

The head fit perfectly! I'll be able to take better photos of her body later, but I'm already in awe at how smoothly it poses? It just feels high quality. The chest is slightly darker than the rest of the body? Another Iple owner let me know her girl was the same way. It doesn't bother me since her clothing is going to cover it, and this match is way closer than I ever imagined.

I'll be back soon with more doll updates! From ordering to delivery, it took a bit over a month to arrive. So much faster than I'm used to in this hobby.

Not doll related, but I've gotten into Labubu! And my favorite thing to do is dress them up. I'm sad how easily these little ones stain. I brought my Luck to MomoCon a few weeks ago, and she has a permanent mustache now. I've tried everything to remove the smudge, and nothing works. Nothing. And I hear this is a common problem. Ah well, they're too cute! I like taking them places with me, and it's relatively low stakes compared to taking a BJD out.

This feels like a dream. Let me introduce Hua Cheng! I’ve had this doll before the official one was released. I read TGCF and envisioned this doll before the books were even translated and sold. There was no official look. He took nearly 4 years to finish. From the time I got him naked and in pieces, to now, I’ve experienced moves, sickness, surgeries, huge life changes! And now he’s done! There are still things I want to change—I want a silver and red theme, not gold. I wanna touch up his hair. He needs his red umbrella! But for now, here he is. My pookie.
