51. A.D. by Elísabet Birta Sveinsdóttir In 1966 the industry at the Hjalteyri factory ended... It's the year 51 A.D. (after death of capitalism) where there's nothing, at the end of the world. My performance is a song dedicated to my dogs, the whales and the sea.
In the performance, I'm in a room closed off with plastic, the same material plaguing the planet and killing life in the sea. My song is a happy yet sad ode to love of nature and animals in a post apocalyptic world where humans have survived. Returning to nature is a dream, not an option.
