Hi Tags! Consider this a permanent plotting call post (i'll also pin this to my acct to make this easier to find)!

Hi, I'm Willow i'm 27, and i'm looking for partners to rp with on discord! Now that Tumblr has gone through so many changes, i've decided to continue roleplaying on discord. I'm open to anything really, and typically write femme original characters (but i also do write male characters!) that typically are poc! I typically write fxf or mxf pairings (with me playing the f) however i am open to being flexible for the right person! Minors dni and please be 21+.

I typically write 2-3 paragraphs, feel free to match my freak or write as much as your heart wants! I'd love to find a partner to gush about our muses and things happening in the plot. I do use tupperbot, but i can also do a server profile for my character as well! Smut is okay, but i always feel a little self conscious about my writing so bear with me!

Hey, we haven't used this tumblr as frequently--- and I'd like to clear the air of some things I've been seeing.

We've gone through a lot of changes. An admin leaving. Another admin being promoted. We're constantly learning how to be a better group, and make sure that everyone is welcome.

One post I saw was made by someone who was validly upset at how a situation was handled. They brought insight into things that needed to be changed, and honestly I regret how that interaction was handled since then.

As for messages being sent to other tumblrs, I want to express that both me, and my co-admin are POC, and not straight. It's upsetting to see someone paint a broad stroke when it isn't even true. We don't tolerate homophobia, racism, or transphobia. Bottom line.

People come and go, and everyone has a history. I'm always giving second chances, and hopeful that people will change. Sometimes they don't, and that's okay. Those people haven't been invited back, and since then we have been making strides to improve, like I reiterated earlier.

hello everyone ! personally , whenever i make carrds for my characters ( or anything really ) one thing i always struggle with is which fonts i should use. carrd has a lot of them and it’s kinda difficult to choose without spending a lot of time trying them all out. so i’ve decided to make a little carrd which includes previews for every single font offered on the website. it’s all very basic and just gives a quick preview of how all the letters look but i decided to share it here in case anyone else finds this helpful.

i love coming off of a hiatus for some “tea” but if you’re looking to join discord groups let me tell you about my fucking experience with the one and only chestnut ridge. i initially joined it because my (former) friend of 2+ years is an admin and invited me.

everything was fine cool cool. fast forward to two weeks ago, i start a new job. should be happy times right? wrong. let me preface this and say this group doesn’t have activity checks, just interest checks since you know people have lives and shit. i react to those and i try to post atleast once a day.

i also tried plotting with people but y’all know you can only do so much when people are dry as hell in the dms and whatnot. that’s not the problem. the problem is the fucking admin forcing my hand and essentially bullying my way out of the group until i cracked and left the group. (yes i have proof and receipts if you ask for them).

huge sidenote i am not the first person they’ve done this to btw. the admin is just a liar and likes to talk about people to her members privately and in main chat when they leave lmfao.

another thing is the group is cliquey as FUCK! and both admins are in said clique. they actively break rules and let their friends break them as well. they have an fc rule, yet one of their friends broke that by having a 33 year old fc play a 25 year old. the admin ganged up on me for having slow activity just because i started a new job, but has characters that remain inactive until “drama goes down” and that’s when they’ll be active on them. one of the admins has a serious problem god modding and meta gaming.

and the damning last two things are that they swear up and down the group isn’t a smut rp but literally everything is about sex. not to mention unwanted sexual advances ic done by the admin/owner of the group herself. the admins stream themselves playing the sims where they have a household of their faves (obviously their little friend groups characters) in there and they put my friends character on there and made her character fuck one of the admins characters even though she said she didn’t want that happening. also throwing this out there that i played 4 black characters and when i left the group was left with a staggering…..TWO black characters. both played by admins of course.

and again i have screenshots and proof to back up all these statements (as far as everything but the sims thing goes, but there were multiple witnesses) so if you wanna have a bad time if you’re not in the admins circle jerk clique, then chestnut ridge is the rp for you babes!

no one is offended you used POC. people are offended that you don’t understand how to use it. also, don’t call me babe or any other names? I don’t know you so don’t. Using POC is great, saying ‘POC PEOPLE’ is wrong and offending because then you are using POC as an adjective. it’s really not that hard to understand. poc means people of color. you don’t have to saying POC people because then you’re saying people of color people. really not that hard to understand that ou have to use POC alone.

lol you’re really out there defending the use of ‘people of color person’, ‘people of color character’, ‘people of color writer’ and ‘people of color people’? just because you’re a POC doesn’t make it okay to act like the phrasing isn’t dehumanizing us. you’re basically saying that we’re just an adjective and okay with it.

how…is it dehumanizing if i’m advocating for diversity, babes? quickly. there are other things to be offended about rather than the phrase “people of color”. how can a phrase that includes the word people be dehumanizing? quit trying to take offense to everything and log off. missing the whole point of my post and trying to argue over a phrase. if you want something to be mad at be mad over what the original post was covering not me using a phrase.

IDK if you’re a POC but please don’t say POC person or POC people. POC stands for People of Color and saying people of color person or people is just wrong. I’m not saying it’s the case here, it could be a language thing, but it is often used by white people who are diminishing us.

I’m saying it as a black woman, and I’m saying it as a blanket term because there really isn’t much representation all across the board which is why i used it. I know what poc stands for and know how i meant it. Thank u.

today on willow’s spicy take: let’s talk poc representation in the rpc.

white writers/rpg blogs always preach about having more diversity in the rpc but won’t play a poc person. another thing is that some will even say white people aren’t qualified to play poc, in turn limiting poc people to play only poc’s……like babes. it doesn’t work like that. as long as you’re using like half of your brain and not being offensive, and not trying to be too “woke” with your portrayal, you can play a poc. stop gatekeeping and stop pigeonholing poc writers. any and everyone should take on the task of writing poc characters, diversity starts with everyone.
