blue, silver, gold and black. kiki took this opportunity at full set to explore and create her own visage, something more bold, dark, glittering. something demanding, standing out, allowing her to taking space she never wanted when she’s with her team. she made sure this album alone was enough to provide imagery of who she is as a pop artist. not because she foresighted a continuation of this path but she thought it would be one time project, a little bits of fun. an experiment. so kiki didn’t want to withhold words she wanted to tell. she waved a story. a tale of a mermaid who was afraid of outside, distancing from rest of the worldand hiding beneath the surface. but there’s one thing she’s longing. something sparkling and twinkling like a diamond. above the waves, the land and all way up to the clouds. she wants stars. or wants to be it. she overcomes fear, swims up to the sky, goes ashore. now she gains two feet and confident, singing and dancing, transformes into a star.
from branding aspect, the oufit includes lots of metallic materials, blue jeans, black jacket and bold accessories. her smokey eye makeup became the signature look alongside with the visual with lots of shimmering and glittering like a mermaid just got up from the sea. while her clothing choice focusing on something sporty, casual and less revealing silhouette unlike most of female artists today who has been demanded for more skin tight, less coverage costumes. kiki wants to create a path that showcasing industry that there’s a way to create allure for performance and artists’ brand without showing half of their chest and hip. it doesn’t mean if you’re not leaning into sexual theme and subject they are holding onto chastity either.

in “zen,” the visual aspects explore the mythic, other-worldly worldview. contains lots of fantastical outfits, mega crews and vfx to describing the story of mermaids who wants to break free through the surface while “3 minutes” focuses on choreography and performance of kiki, highlighting her abilities as a dancer alongside with a simple storyline. it starts with the shot she’s inside the train, short before noticing everyone around her running towards the outside. she took off her sony mdr-3 headphones, walk through the clouds who’s been overwhelmed by the pressure from someone looks like a cop. they are glaring at clouds who seeks for freedom by blocking roads and controlled movements. then kiki breaks through the barricades right before the chorus begins, let people streams into the main street with flags and fireworks. at one point, she takes off a hat from one of the cops, detaches the symbol of fake organization and puts it on herself, indicating any oppression is useless in front of the people who pursue liberation.
the main dish of “killin’ it girl,” wasn’t exactly about not-so-high-budget production but rather the numbers of cameo. as the song is about feminism and solidarity between women who comes from different country, background, class and ethnic group in sort of very direct way, kiki casted multiple friends of her in entertainment world such as jihyo, sana and nayeon ( twice ), seulgi ( red velvet ), yunjin and chaewon ( le sserafim ), kyulkyung, nayoung and gaeun ( former pledis artists ), ariana miyamoto and leo sanada ( co-star of PP:0 series ), emily rudd and charithra chandran ( co-star of one piece live action ), anna sawai and ayo edibiri. the video described the photoshoot of magazine in studio, her friends’ serve as models while kiki played a cameraman who taking pictures of them, praising and hyping them up. in the last entry, she showed up in the night circuit full of cars and crowds for “tokyo drift.” it occasionally switches location to the multistory parking lot, standing front of the screen projecting the streets of tokyo. her style stays in streetwears and baggy outfits most of the time, a little bit more lay back and symbolizing less-staged side of her performance.
Ok, very random question, but if Kiki was in a girl group, which one would she be in?
i think twice or red velvet would be the strong candidate! she actually got attention from both jyp and sm ( + yg too ) after she went to korea, and boys were a bit anxious over this bcs those company have more stable finances and better environment obvi so theoretically it’s way more wise choice, which she never agreed anyway. in fact jyp was THIS close to cast her before pledis. even after they found her as pledis’ trainee, they couldn’t give up and tried to approach her few times. sm was also particularly eager to have her as own trainee just so that they can hold her back lol. i lowkey feel if kiki ended up in RV she would’ve left to different company after first contract renewal ( which her fans would rejoice due to unfair treatment or less opportunity ). on the other hand, she gets along with most of twice girls already, so prob no problem with the longevity of ot10 huhu.
hey!!! ( ᵔ ᗜ ᵔ ) idk if you are taking any requests atm, but could you create smth like a timeline of the scandals, controversies, or hate trains kiki has faced? i feel like it would help shape the trajectory of her career, her struggles while being the 3rd gen it girl etc
hiii, thank you for asking! i made this post long time ago that might close to what the answer should be. i wish i could curate this properly but it might take a while due to my exam in summer so i need to get done briefly like this, i hope you could understand 🥲 if i could, i would like to create your request once the exam was done <3
here’s something i can tell — kiki’s rough patch peaked in first couple of years and 2019. i’m vaguely planning to dig down the trainee era and early days of her career in the future, but in short she caught a certain amount of negative attention when she got debut first, not only from public and netizen but also people in the industry. everyone rumored han seong su lost his mind to fix his broken company, took a rash act for a quick cash grab. a lot of them never took her, or entire group seriously because of her presence, and she was too smart to be blind. for first couple years, kiki only concentrated to keep her head down, hold a breath and shrink her presence as much as she can. she never had a reputation and public popularity of today from the beginning. it took a while for her to get over those fear.
the rain was lashing down. the towel around her neck had long since become useless. in the middle of a segment, she dashed through the downpour as thunder rolled, splashing through the sheets of water. her hair and clothes were heavy, clinging to her skin, but she kept her pace, stepping so lightly it was as if she didn’t mind at all. although thick clouds limited her vision, the carat bong in the audience dazzled like exploding stars. it had always been like this; it always rained during their milestone performances. was it seungkwan or dokyeom who said it felt like the sky was cheering along with them? she only remembered jeonghan nodding gently in response.
they had kept running recklessly this far because they knew they were the only ones who could pave their own uncertain path. she wondered when she had stopped being driven by that chest-burning impatience to go as far as possible. if a god truly existed, they must have been born to draw the same constellation like this.
behind her in-ear monitors, surrounded by the sound of raindrops bouncing off the stage, it felt like a world with thick curtains drawn. because of that, she was quite late in noticing the voice repeatedly trying to stop her from behind.
“kiki!”
her arm was suddenly grabbed, and between her thick jacket and her body temperature—which was being stolen by the weather—an unmistakable warmth pressed in.
“let’s dance!”
the next intro began to flow. seungcheol removed the pearl-colored monitor from kiki’s ear as if he were handling a treasure chest he knew exactly how to open. it felt like a proposal scene being rewound and replayed; her heart skipped a beat.
“hurry!”
he had such a dazzling smile and looked so genuinely happy that she nodded, though she wasn’t sure if he meant for her to follow the choreography or just join him. she was pulled toward a slightly open space, and seungcheol, suddenly turning back, drew her body close. he extended their joined hands to the side and wrapped his other arm around her waist. within kiki’s mind, that sub-two-second moment was stretched out manifold, and every single streak of the misty rain appeared in slow motion.
“wait, what?”
“come on, it’s fun, isn’t it?”
“but...”
this was just like a first dance at a wedding.
is this okay? they were in the middle of a concert. middle of the encore, so it wasn’t like they had to give a perfect performance, but even so, this was far too intimate. while she remained caught in indecision, their bodies pressed together. they had a fair amount of talent when it came to hip-hop dance, but they had never danced a waltz face-to-face, so they had been clumsy since practice. however, once the body learns something, it doesn’t easily forget; her feet began to step on their own before she could even think. oh, she was in trouble. is it really okay to be this happy?
as the rain beat down, her vision was filled with nothing but him. for just a moment, it was as if they were the only two people left in the world. the rain. the cheering sky. everything felt so alive and surreal.
she was spun around with an extended arm and then pulled back in. seungcheol’s solid frame caught kiki pretty easily. they swayed their bodies randomly from right to left, and before long, seungcheol suddenly stopped moving.
“let’s end it here.”
“okay—but what’s gotten into you all of a sudden?”
feeling a bit reluctant to let go, she started to pull her hand away, only to be yanked closer by the hand still wrapped around her waist. a voice whispered a secret in her ear.
“because if we stay any closer than this, i feel like i might need to kiss you.”
for a moment, she forgot the chill of her drenched skin. only the side of her ear held a heat enough to burn.
“idiot.”
she pushed him away playfully, as if it were a joke, and stepped away from seungcheol. after all, the heat he got caught already taken her soul too.
✉️ that rain at encore was too romantic to ignore 😭 trust me i never forgot about kinwoo and kihyuk i just need to sit down to take care them properly bare with me pls
today’s random lore of kiki : somewhere on internet there’s a screenshot of a deleted twitter post with a photo of yuta from nct and kiki that says “lesbianism is a spectrum”
⌇ 2023. kiki ( fem!oc ) × svt 2.5k 𓇿 fluff, crack, kiki being cinephile / otaku / eldest at full time
✉️ ❫ i’m not sure i’m able to make moments between kiki and each boys equally but i’ll try my best ! i always imagine kiki and vernon would get along rly well so here’s some kisol interactions 𖥔 ݁ ˖
the plane carrying them touched down smoothly on the runway. even though seven thirty in the evening, the sky was still a clear, refreshing porcelain blue. the cabin was buzzing with constant noise as the passengers began to stand up from their seats one by one. as kiki stood up from her seat, she couldn’t help but give herself a long, deep stretch. she was the type who didn’t mind long flights since being able to spend the time reading or watching movies, but being unable to move for so long just wasn’t in her nature. so a nice, good stretch was essential once she was back on the ground from the sky.
“seriously? a-again?”
kiki’s first step toward a peaceful journey was instantly thrown off balance by na pd’s unsettling words. she was just about to head for the exit with jun, but her natural sense of responsibility and her duty as the eldest—especially under the circumstances of the absence of seungcheol—glued her feet to the spot. as she approached the voice, the two exceptionally tall men who usually towered like monuments were crouching down together at the foot of their seats. from a distance, they looked like two small mountains that had suddenly appeared.
“what happened?” the voice came out calm. mingyu frowned his eyebrows, answering on behalf of his 97 liners friend.
“it’s him…” he pointed out the other boy like an eight years old kid.
“so it’s his passport this time?” she glanced back at na pd’s eyes which appeared like ten seconds away from tearing up. he looked so pitiful as if he were halfway to losing his soul, kiki couldn’t help but step closer and pat his shoulder to comfort him.
“it’s okay, it will be found. i guess today’s not dokyeom’s luckiest day.”
“yes, and for us too,” his shoulders drooped, starting to realize this trip can be much harder than expected. kiki just casted a sympathetic smile on her lips, knowing exactly how he’s feeling right now.
“you’ll get used to it, don’t worry.” she said.
[ it doesn’t sound like a reassurance at all ]
“oh, there it is!” dokyeom raised a voice out of excitement and relief from under the seat.
“i left at hyung’s seat.”
“whattt?” pd seemed completely speechless, eyes wide with shock. as they made their way off the plane together, dokyeom apologized over and over, repeatedly saying how truly sorry he was.
“i’m really a passport killer today.”
“but neither was my fault, right?” mingyu knitted his brows and looked down at kiki like a puppy waiting for its owner’s approval. she gave him a half-hearted pat on the back and responded in a flat tone. “yes, yes, we all know that, don’t worry. just get it done okay?”
he gave a nod. with an effortless tug, snatched the simple amenity bag she’d carried off the plane just like the others. as he tried to take her empty hand, kiki reached back for the pouch. “let me have it,” she said. “everyone’s carrying the exact same one, so we’ll never know whose is whose if we mix them up.”
“but i don’t have one,” mingyu persisted, his brows still knitted tightly together. “all of you were so quick to grab it... it didn’t even cross my mind.”
it took quite a while from the moment they stepped off the plane until they actually cleared the airport. fortunately, it wasn’t what you’d call crowded, with enough space between people to breathe easy. kiki tucked the pouch she’d managed to get back from mingyu under her arm and adjusted the mic clipped to her shirt collar to make sure it wouldn’t fall.
“we’re the only ones empty-handed,” kiki said, turning to jeonghan as they walked side by side.
“yeah, everyone else is carrying luggage, so we definitely stand out,” jeonghan nodded. “we’re heading to the accommodations after this, right? they’ll probably have us figure out the room assignments.”
“well, there’s no way all fourteen of us are getting private rooms. it won’t be like the hotels during our tours,” kiki remarked, before suddenly snapping her head around to look at him. “...are you cooking up something devious again?”
“what? me? i’m not plotting anything!” jeonghan laughed, though a hint of panic flickered in his eyes as he tried to defend himself. “i just thought they’d probably make us play some kind of game for the rooms, that’s all.”
bending the rules to clinch a win by the skin of his teeth was his signature move in their content, of course. kiki usually understood it was all for the sake of the show, so she’d just roll her eyes without saying much. but jeonghan knew well enough that if he pulled the same stunts on nana tour—where the whole point was supposed to be a vacation—kiki’s reaction might not be the same as usual.
jun and minghao needed visas, so they were led away by the staff at the immigration floor, parting ways with the rest of the group. since kiki didn’t share a nationality with any of the other members, she also had to split off and stand in line by herself. the screening process went smoothly without any trouble, but she spotted an unexpected silhouette waiting at the exit of the lane.
“all done?” vernon asked, sliding his mask down just a bit. when kiki said yes, he simply gave a small nod in return and started walking alongside her.
“were you waiting for me? thank you,” she hummed, wrapping an arm around him for a quick, tight squeeze. instead anything vernon just shook his head.
“it’s for my own sake. i wanted to sit with you on the bus. i’m still a little sleepy.”
“couldn’t sleep much on the plane?” kiki chuckled, sensing exactly what he was getting at. if he wanted to catch even a little more rest, having someone like dokyeom sitting next to him would definitely be a struggle.
the members who had boarded the bus earlier were chatting away about the long line for the chinese members’ visas. “did all of the members get on?” to vernon’s question, a chorus of voices answered that everyone was there except for myungho and jun.
“it was so long—the l-li... the l-l-line...” seungkwan stuttered, his tongue getting uncharacteristically twisted.
“still half-asleep?” kiki asked half-jokingly, giving his head a gentle pat. as she did, a shy, embarrassed glint flickered in his eyes as he looked up at her.
sitting down next to vernon, kiki followed his lead and pulled out her phone, only to be instantly greeted by a mountain of unread emails and kakao notifications. she found herself wishing she’d just left the device behind altogether. there was a nagging fear that once she allowed herself a proper break, it wouldn’t be able to numb her senses and grind through work the way she usually did. as much as looking forward to this trip, a heavy weight settled deep in kiki’s chest.
she replied only to seulgi, with whom she’d made plans to hang out in japan during the break, and promptly closed her screen.
“i should have brought a book if i knew it’d be like this...”
her fingertips, no longer occupied by her phone, tapped a restless rhythm on her lap. it was a mutter that slipped out like a tooth chipped away from a comb, falling away before she could catch it. surprisingly, vernon tossed a simple question into the space between them.
“what are you reading lately?” vernon’s gaze dropped to her hands. whenever they traveled abroad, those hands were almost always gripping a book or an ipad filled with script pdf, but now they looked noticeably bare.
“i only just started it, but it’s a british novel. it’s about a high school girl investigating a disappearance that happened before.”
although the conversation didn’t lasted any longer, neither of them appeared to be minded. shortly after he started to take a nap in his familiar stance, some members automatically responded to the staff saying “they’re here.” thus for its reactions are all reflexive, they didn’t even realize it wasn’t jun and minghao.
“you’re answering so half-heartedly, don’t you?” na pd specified their soulless gesture, making sure to emphasize they were in sync even in these moments. kiki needed to hold back a laughter from her neighbor remained unbothered as well.
vernon only woke up when the china line actually returned before the bus set off. when some staff mentioned the name of the airport they just departed—taken after the painter of mona lisa—dokyeom, again instantly, auto-played vernon’s name. mingyu got the reference at instance and quickly retorted before joshua eagerly explained the lore behind this joke, something that rarely surfaced these days. all the way through, she snickered those tall hyping boys getting excited whatever pd said. honestly, it wasn’t any harm—as long as she wasn’t involved with.
then na pd began to explain the interesting trivia of colosseum like a chaperon history teacher. boys’ voices harmonized as they constantly raised a voice of realization, she struggled to bite back laughter again. it had been like this, always. she was tortured by herself, because she had to hold back a burst of laughter every time a member said something. to make matters worse, since the ones sitting behind them were dokyeom and mingyu, the voices of the two repeating whatever na pd said even louder rang clearly in her ears.
“well, since we’re all on the bus together, it was impossible to spend the time quietly anyway,” she muttered softly in vernon’s ear, and he nodded with a wry smile.
the moment she was told they were heading to rome first, scenes from movies flashed through her mind like a collection of famous moments.
“do you think we can go to the places? like those in ‘roman holiday?’” kiki asked the cinephile no.2 next to her.
“i don’t know. but we can anticipate ‘gladiator’ vibes, that’s for sure.” he shrugged with a hint of smile.
“that’s a bit aggressive take, i guess.” she beamed back.
after a while, the bus loaded on the side. now it could be seen clearly more than ever—the silhouette of colosseum, making a clear statement of own presence without any words needed. as they got off from the bus in droves, its weight of history approaching closer and closer in front of them.
“oh my god… it’s jojo, this is the place of final battle!”
out of the blue, kiki uttered about her favorite manga, which made dino to respond. “really? i thought it’s a japanese manga? why rome is involved?” she mumbled back as looking around the pillars of colosseum. “it’s part 5—jojo has different protagonist and storyline which takes all different locations for each part… wow this is exciting!”
[ passionate fangirl ]
after all, what her excited most was not audrey hepburn or russel crowe, it was giorno giovanna. the writer must’ve visited the place too, she thought. then her light bulb just flashed, the girl started searching the picture from the manga on the google. na pd came closer as he draw away from other members, being curious what she was doing.
“are you looking for the info too?”
“no,” as kiki softly shook her head, she revealed her phone screen to him.
“is this… a manga?” he tilted his head.
“my favorite. the final battle with the boss of enemy happens here.” she nodded with a twinkle in her eyes. then she looked up then colosseum, down at screen, repeated few times, just following by delighted face. after observing all of her motions, na pd just mumbled in undertone, a pure wonder.
“she just… checked, that’s all.”
[ minding and enjoying her business ]
and it was speaking truth. after a little contentment, she joined alongside minghao to behold the whole sight of dignified structure. kiki already took a bunch of pictures, sent her grandparents some of them—including selfies and those jun took for her with the arch—she intended to sending seungcheol some later as wanting to take time for selecting photo.
shortly after, all of them started to gathering in one place. minghao stayed longer even after kiki joined the major group. while hoshi making a call to seungcheol, wonwoo told her it’s 6am over there, which seemed none of them cared, so as the remained one himself. kiki chuckled the way he was still clearly half-asleep yet automatically reacted calling out to take a group photo.
“it’s almost like a wake-up prank,” wonwoo chortled with her, adding a short comment made noona’s laughter slightly bigger. “he can barely open his eyes.”
although, they still managed to take a photo. flash was so bright even reached to seungchol over the screen who was somewhat confusing yet in the bedroom in seoul.
“his face is so puffy,” she hesitated but said it out loud anyway. seungkwan immediately remarked, “stop saying that! he might get sulky again if he heard it!” and it brought exact foreshadowing effect they never asked for.
“ey! i heard that!” seungcheol got up his upper figure just enough to seek the one out of them over the phone. she shrunk back from his glare, pull down her head among the boys to get away. seungkwan waved to hoshi right away to hang up the call. there’s no way he won’t take kiki’s side, just as laws of nature.
“okay hyung, sleep more~” hoshi understood the signal instantly, greeting his hyung to end the face time all of the sudden. seungcheol clearly exhibited the face of discontent, knitting brows as they chatting care free, but had no choice besides let them handle to do whatever they want. he murmured we should talk this later until last second but hoshi was simply unbothered.
finally, at seungkwan’s suggestion, they clustered to take a reel in front of colosseum. one of them asked what they gonna do, the other talked about how this experience would be memorable, while another one trying to explain the reel—as all of them gathered in one place, the audio and the words flew over their head from here to there, things started to getting boisterous pretty easily. running out of patient—and the desparated need to flung herself on the bed—kiki raised her voice to sort out the situation.
“everyone!” boomed her. “get on the line side by side! we will fall down to one side, okay?”
[ being eldest is a full time job ]
“let’s remember this spot right now, okay?” hoshi didn’t waste time to have her back, “we shall fall after three seconds!”
kiki tucked herself between wonwoo and seungkwan at last minute. they all leaned their body to the side, following the staff’s countdown. as looking up at the colosseum, she again realized how miraculous it was to travel with almost all of the members. although the feeling of missing seungcheol washed over her too, kiki determinded to keep working harder, so that one day na pd could kidnap all of them for the trip again. every last one of them, no one should be left behind.
the night wears on. parting from the landmark or time is such a sweet sorrow, but it’s time to head to the dorm.
i think i am a little late, but i am really sorry that as a HUGE fan of your blog i do not interact more :( i do not know if i, by myself, make a huge difference in ur notifications, however, i will try to be more active. i genuinely ADORE your work and i want to show my support. (you do not need to answer to this btw)
first of all, you are one of the followers i literally remember your id bcs how interactive you are 😭 your presence change EVERYTHING whenever you appeared on notifs it always makes me happy, i adore you too bb, pls don’t push yourself too much! i genuinely appreciate how you take time to stop by this blog already, but tysm <3
I just want to say that I really love your work. I also completely understand feeling burnt out or losing motivation for something that once felt healing or exciting. I think a lot of bloggers go through that, they start writing because they want to share what they’ve been hiding in their drafts, and the attention and interaction can feel really motivating at first. But when it slows down, even for a little while, it can feel like you’re just posting into silence, and eventually they end up deactivating their accounts. I’m sure there are a lot of people like me who read your work quietly and look forward to it, but don’t always have the courage to send a message or an ask. I’ve actually been following your blog for about a year now, ever since I first came across Kiki, and I still get excited whenever I see a notification that you’ve posted something new.
I just want you to know, that even if the numbers on a post seem small, they still represent real people who enjoyed what you created. Your writing definitely reaches people, even if we’re not always the best at saying it out loud.
I just wanted to finally say thank you for sharing your work and the stories you write. They really are appreciated more than you probably realize.
