to make some kind of point about how video games haven’t changed in the past 20 years because the protagonist of a first person shooter is a white blue-eyed muscleboy with light-colored hair
except they picked the absolute worst possible character to make that point with
like, okay, the point is valid, but BJ Blazkowicz is the absolute worst character they could have picked for the example
of all of the white macho muscleboys that have starred in video games over the years, they picked the lone character that actually has a reason to look the way he does
BJ Blazkowicz is designed to resemble the Nazi regime’s ideal human being. Blue eyes, light skin, light-colored hair. Problem for the Nazis is that he’s also a Polish Jew and his primary hobby is royally kicking the shit out of every Nazi that stands in front of him
so like
out of ALL of the white muscleboys that poster could have picked to single out in order to make a statement about video games, they picked the one white muscleboy that has a legitimately really good reason for being that way: a personal “fuck you” to every Nazi that has ever existed, created by the Native American John Romero
