If you use Firefox, you can go to the about:config page, search for "media.mediasource.enabled" and double click on it to set it to false. After you restart Firefox, all youtube videos will load entirely even when paused! This also affects other streaming websites :)

go to About:config find media.mediasource.enabled and toggle it to false find media.cache_readahead_limit and change it to 9999 find media.cache_resume_threshold and change it to 9999

additionally if you'd prefer mp4 to webm

also in about:config, find: media.encoder.webm.enabled media.mediasource.webm.audio.enabled media.mediasource.webm.enabled media.webm.enabled and toggle them all to false

note! this will limit video to 1080p

and use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dont-accept-webp/ to kill WebP Fuck Google

I'm fascinated by how the animators for TADC handle Caine's impossible anatomy so well. There's so much to balance and they've somehow engineered a solution for his expressions to hold during speech.

I also traced Caine answering the phone from episode 4 to demonstrate his phonemes and mouth shapes.

Its been a long while since I've posted anything on here, but to be for real, putting myself out there one the internet is scary. I wanna do things and connect with others but its really taxing with how the internet is set up to be fast, fast, fast, now, now, now. I i dont like how hollow the digital world has become.

I don't even feel like putting my art on here because it feels like no one sees it. And I dont have a problem with that, but what hurts is that bots and scammers are the only people who seem to see my art. It's almost degrading. I came to Tumblr to put my work out there and connect with other artists but it feels like it goes no where.

Luckily I have people close to me and I cherish them deeply so im not reliant on the web for that, but I always dreamt of making art and stories like Cartoon Network did or like Goosworx has. But I get no spark sharing my art to an empty audience.

Idk maybe I'll figure it out some day. I have been drawing and trying new things with art. I even started tattooing!! I suck at practicing tho, im not very consistent. Maybe its the empty feeling. Who knows, but I wanna hope things will get better.

Idk how Utena takes something as stupid and blatant as "the big sports car is a metaphor for sex" and makes it genuinely compelling and disturbing, but it is compelling and disturbing. Some of it is symbolic and mystical storytelling, some of it is just an astute observation about cars being a liminal space, not your home, but not arrival anywhere else, cars being power and freedom and privacy, and cars being something you can't have as a child.

On the note of places within Revolutionary Girl Utena, I feel like a lot of the settings are places where queer folks meet or have met when the rest of the world had no place for them. A quiet garden, a private bedroom, a car, old buildings not in use anymore. Granted, a lot of dark things happened in these places in the anime, but I think the artistic portrayal is very well done. Very phantasmagorical and liminal. An in-between for the strange ones to belong 🩷💜
