You could often find cats on Navy Ships, and the company of these little shipmates was much appreciated and boosted the crew’s morale.

The Vampire of Kraków
Karol Kot was born on the 18th of December 1946 in Kraków, Poland. In Karol’s early childhood, he had very strange ‘hobbies’ such as going to the slaughterhouse to watch pigs getting butchered - he also killed animals himself. Karol also enjoyed studying anatomy books and imagining wounds that could be inflicted on people.
In September of 1964, when Karol was only 17 years old, he would attack his first victim - an elderly woman. He stabbed her in the back, but luckily the woman managed to survive. That same month, Karol attacked two other elderly woman on different occassions - one survived, but the other one, 77-year old Marii Plichty, was stabbed to death. Two years later in February of 1966, Karol stabbed an 11-year old boy named Leszka Całka to death. He attempted another murder in April that same year by stabbing an 8-year old girl - she survived. Karol Kot also tried to kill people by poisoning, he would go to a bar and poison the drinks with arsenic, but without success.
Karol Kot was sentenced to death for the murders and attempted murders. He was executed by hanging on the 16th of May 1968, when he was just 21 years old.
a smothering night I exploded with rage my mouth opened up widely- out soared a familiar face though my eyes were shut tightly
together we danced- I would take the lead- I had no choice- both were me- erupting with ire, I saw in mind's eye- my bones were of wax- and you were the fire
melting furiously to the floor now I would feel no sense of shame- I’ll take you down there with me make us one and the same

The Wonder Spot was a popular Wisconsin tourist attraction that was open from 1949 until 2006 before being demolished. It featured a small cabin at the edge of a ravine and was advertised as “a place where the normal rules of gravity do not apply”. Sure enough, if you were to travel to The Wonder Spot, you’d find it impossible to stand up straight. Water ran backwards and in strange, swirling motions and it was possible to balance chairs and tables on two legs. It was very difficult to walk properly, as you would be met with a strange weightless feeling, as if you were walking on the moon. This story is certainly freaky and there aren’t many definite explanations for this strange phenomena. Tour guides merely attributed the lack of gravity to igneous rock formations, which makes it even more fascinating.

A never-seen-before photo of Ted Bundy with his then-girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer (aka Elizabeth Kendall), and her daughter, Molly, who was only a toddler at the time of the killings. Amazon Prime has announced that they will be releasing a true crime documentary series about the serial killer, in which Elizabeth and her daughter will break their silence and speak out for the first time in 40 years. Survivors of Bundy’s attacks will also appear in this new chilling series.
According to the synopsis, the show will cover ‘’the disturbing and profound way in which Bundy’s pathological hatred of women collided with the culture wars and feminist movement of the 1970s, culminating in what is perhaps the most infamous true crime saga of our time.“
