Freedom (roleplayed by Mod Corb / @corbwhisker )
Member of The Storm Chasers ✤ Non-binary Femme ✤ She / He ✤ 40 moons
Born a sheltered indoor housecat, he was barely six moons old when his town was hit with a tornado. His owner had evacuated without him, leaving his cat to weather the storm in their apartment complex. Though the building was ripped in two, he escaped only with scrapes and bruises. In the aftermath he wandered aimlessly, amazed, awed, and frightened by the destruction of the storm. It was then the young she-cat would run into a group of felines, at the time he was a clueless young cat with no idea how to live outside, but he was friendly enough, and with no where else to turn, he tagged along with them. Quickly he learned about their mission and way of life, and he quickly grew to be amazed by it. He had come to idolize them, in how they showed no fear in the face of such terrifying disasters.
In time she too would face her fear, delving into her first chase, then another, then before Freedom knew it, she hardly could remember a time when she wasn't with the Storm Chasers. Over the seasons she's become a weathered member, a friendly face who always never tires of the chase. Freedom truly embodies the spirit of a Storm Chaser, she is worryingly casual about dangerous scenarios, and some may say it's because she is very brave! ...Others may say it's because she never had any sense to begin with.
She likes to sweep the youngsters under her wing, show them the ropes. Of course Freedom's advice doesn't offer much than sucking up your fears and trying your best-- she means well, but she is no mentor. She prefers to keep things light, she even dares to crack jokes in the middle of chases. Someone might argue it helps keep cats present, anything to keep them from panicking. While others may see Freedom's immaturity as it is-- she doesn't really handle anything serious. She's passionate about chasing storms and witnessing disasters, but beyond that she just doesn't care. Freedom may have some passing interest, she might find her attention captured by something new and strange-- what can she say? She's a naturally curious cat! In the end however, nothing beats the adrenaline rush of tracking a disaster of some kind, of seeing it form, and being in the middle of it. That's what Freedom lives for, and she's keen on helping any cat to see if the same way. To her, you'd have to be crazy to NOT want this lifestyle. Everything else is just so plain and boring!

Not everybody gets the chance to live a life that isn't dangerous.
Life in the Storm Chasers is not without risk. Most cats among their ranks can name a few past companions who have been lost from the disasters the group favors. However, past storms seem to pale in comparison to the flood and cave in that followed eighteen moons ago. Nearly every cat within the group at that time could give a name of someone they cared for and lost. Thrill, who was Triumph's best friend while they were initiates, was just one among the casualties. After the loss of Thrill and many other Storm Chasers, Triumph took over as one of the group's three commanders, dedicating herself to a life of running alongside the storms rather than any individual cat.

INTRODUCING… || Triumph (roleplayed by Mod Maya / @swanface )
A Commander of The Storm Chasers ✤ Female ✤ She / Her ✤ 42 moons
Once little more than the clinging shadow of her dear friend Thrill, Triumph is a cat who has risen to grand heights in the wake of loss, the true embodiment of Storm Chaser virtues. Few who had known her prior to her survival of the cave in and subsequent flooding that claimed the lives of a vast portion of the Storm Chasers over a season cycle ago would have ever imagined that she would one day rise to the challenge of claiming the title of Commander, and yet it can be said that on that day Triumph emerged reborn from her experience with such a devastating storm.
As both a Storm Chaser and Commander, Triumph's skills lie in resource management and preparedness. Each venture out in pursuit of a storm often means that cats will return worn, injured, and in need of care, something that she has done her best to ensure is always taken care of. In this regard, Triumph has been known to be somewhat of a "mother hen" to her fellow Storm Chasers, fussing for them and nosing into business that they'd rather her stay out of.
Of course, any attempts to do the same for her are met with stalwart refusal to bend even the slightest amount. She "doesn't like to be looked after," she'll insist, before vanishing in a tizzy. For all of her fretting, Triumph has a tendency to become rather mean when cats tend to her, cross in a way that contrasts her typical demeanor.

Applications Now Open for The Trove!
Life as a Storm Chaser is full of constant risk — just a season cycle and a half ago, a large portion of their group was lost to a tragic cave in that encased many in an earthen grave following the pursuit of perhaps one of the grandest floods seen by the Storm Chasers to date — but no cat who lives among this weathered bunch is afraid of throwing caution to the wind. Their constant longing for proximity to that which others would deem too dangerous to ever approach is what characterizes the Storm Chasers; bold, sometimes reckless, and completely ready to dive headfirst into the chaos that wait for them. Wanderers who go wherever the most extreme weather takes them, these cats greet the impact of intense storms and even the often ensuing result of death that comes from their daring ways as an inevitability rather than something to spend their lives dreading. Though their culture may be difficult to comprehend for those more keen to mourn, it is said by the Storm Chasers that those who pass on in pursuit of the weather and the winds will simply be taken on by them in the afterlife, and in continuing their chase, they are forever running alongside those taken too soon. Of course, running is not the only option granted to them, and as storms coalesce and the time for new revelations rises from the earth, a new era for the Storm Chasers may be dawning upon them.
The Storm Chasers event will begin among the ranks of nomadic travelling group and will quickly follow their journey to mingle among the cats of the Trove of Twisted Tunnels. When the two come together, paths will forever be altered and new futures will be crafted for all those who become tangled up in the influence of the storms.
DETAILS
This round of application is open to both new potential members as well as members currently in ThreeClans, and will be open to applications for both original characters as well as three adoptable characters with preestablished guidelines. We will be looking to accept around 15 new characters, split between characters coming from both new members and current members. Each accepted member will have a character living amidst the Storm Chasers with the end goal of that character joining The Trove of Twisted Tunnels. You have from September 1st to September 15th to send your applications in.

GUIDELINES
You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
You must apply for a cat that is at least 2 moons of age. You are welcome to apply for any age above this.
You must apply initially with a name that reflects the “outsider” status of your character. This means that no cat will join the roleplay with a Trove name. These names will be earned throughout the process of roleplaying. For example, an acceptable name would be “Rain,” while an unacceptable one would be "Rain Song."
Please thoroughly read any documents provided and linked above, and create your original character with the lore and setting in mind.
Please be prepared to be active! Ideally, our members will engage in roleplaying and the server frequently. ThreeClans functions on a real life time system, which means that every day that passes in real life is equal to a day passing in the roleplay’s time. Though time may be adjusted accordingly for more intense events, and liquid time may be given to those who ask permission to complete roleplays, things are quite fast paced — we like to keep everything moving so that nothing stagnates for too long!
You must have a Discord account to join the roleplay, as that is where it is hosted!
New members may apply for adoptable characters as well as original characters. Current members are only eligible to apply for an original character. New members are also welcome to send in a total of two applications, one for an adoptable and one for an original character, if they so wish to do so, though we highly encourage that they mark preference for which character they are accepted for if this is done.

Daylight (formerly Courage)
18 moons, Winter Born (Season Flexible) | Any Gender (AGAB up to roleplayer) A flame point cat with scars and blue eyes.
Daylight was born within the Storm Chasers alongside their sister, Nightfall. Though the two were incredibly close, their opinions of the culture they were born into could not be anymore different. Daylight embraced the dangerous lifestyle, often running headfirst into any storm they could while Nightfall seemed to cower from it. Considered a prodigy to the Storm Chaser’s way of life, Daylight earned their virtue name at a young age, becoming known as Courage. Nightfall, meanwhile, had never enjoyed putting herself in danger and hated to see their sibling doing just that. It was only when Nightfall made her move to desert the group that Courage seemed to realize just how much distance their differing opinions had put between them.
Courage followed Nightfall away from the Storm Chasers, intent on bringing their sister back into the group. Their efforts were staunchly ignored as the two argued for days, Nightfall steadfast in her decision. Eventually, Courage realized there would be no changing her mind and was left to return to their home alone. Unfortunately, returning to the Storm Chasers would not be easy as the group had moved on while Courage had been trying to persuade Nightfall. In the end, it took them three moons to return home.
In that time away, the group had brushed off not only Nightfall, but Courage as well as deserters. Courage was horrified to discover their return was not celebrated, but instead they were shunned. They were quick to explain what had happened to the commanders, but the damage had already been done. There was no way to prove that Courage had ever planned to return, and thus their virtue name was stripped away from them as punishment and to serve as a reminder that deserters were not welcome. Now known as Daylight once again, they are determined to prove themself to the Storm Chasers and regain their place among them once again.

Devotion
27 Moons, Spring Born (Season Flexible) | Any Gender (AGAB up to roleplayer) A black tabby cat with a bobbed tail and green eyes.
Though Devotion was not born a part of the Storm Chasers, one would find it difficult to parse out any previous loyalties from a cat as vehemently dedicated to the culture and the customs of the group as they are. Devotion lives and breathes storm chasing, charting courses, and venturing out into the unknown; to live according to the Storm Chasers’ ways, surely, is all they ought to have known.
Of course, there was a time when Devotion had a cause to cling to that was more than just their life among the Storm Chasers. Their very introduction into the ranks of the group they now call home, in fact, came in the form of an all-consuming connection with their once-childhood sweetheart: Ardor. Ardor discovered Devotion, a lonesome and drifting stranger, and was swift to wrap them up in the life they led within the Storm Chasers, immersing them in an enticing world of spectacle, excitement, and purpose.
There was nothing that Devotion and Ardor did apart – each meal was shared, each second of sleep carefully dedicated to be had at each other’s side – until Devotion’s true curiosity for the depth of Storm Chaser ways began to shine through and pull their attention away from their relationship. Ardor was indubitably jealous of the thought that anything could take Devotion’s focus away from them, and thus suggested a solution to make sure Devotion had nothing else but them to pay attention to at all: deserting the Storm Chasers to begin a life all their own. When Devotion refused, the ensuing response was disastrous, and though no cat can say they know the true story behind the falling out of the two, one thing remains clear: after that day, only Devotion remained a part of the Storm Chasers, while Ardor vanished altogether.

Miracle
49 moons, Summer Born (Season Flexible) | Any Gender (AFAB) A mostly white lilac calico cat with scars and pale green eyes.
In seasons of recent memory, Miracle was known to those among the Storm Chasers not only as a spirited and successful cat, but also as one of their very own commanders, having served under such a title from a surprisingly young age after they and their twin sister, Melody, were brought to great heights as a result of a series of impressive storm chasing stints completed at each other’s sides. Young prodigies as they were, Miracle and Melody both were greatly admired by many among the ranks of the Storm Chasers, though some considered them to have egos a bit too overinflated for their own good.
Still, Miracle was a cat happy with their lot in life, and plenty popular with those that they looked after as commander. Though they and Melody had a tendency to steamroll whoever served as the Storm Chaser’s third commander alongside them, viewing them more of an “assistant” than a true equal, life within the Storm Chasers was peaceful enough – until Melody passed suddenly from unforeseen health complications, causing Miracle to become immensely paranoid for their own potential fate and future – as well as notably irritable in their role as commander without their sibling to support them.
It was not long before Miracle, although originally a well respected commander among their peers, was inevitably ousted from their position, practically stripped of the renown and respect that they had once held when they were outnumbered, one to two, by the other commanders of the Storm Chasers. They live now as a disgraced former commander among the Storm Chasers, forced to go through life without Melody and without their rank to give them purpose – time can only tell where their path forward will bring them.
