being individuals together is so intimate. let’s read different books but curled up next to each other, let’s visit a coffee shop so you can study and i can write, let’s just be near each other

I haven't been drawing much lately. I've been speed running a game, but I want to get back into drawing slowly.

The distinction between 'labyrinth' and 'maze' is both invented and relatively recent

People actually still believe in the dumb 'You killed Blue's Raticate' theory? My gosh
Disney's Cinderella says, right at the start, that it's based on Charles Perrault's version, and people are like 'did you know it's not like the original?' (meaning Grimm even though Perrault's version is older) anyway. But the only example they give is the stepsisters cutting off their feet in Grimm.
There's a bunch of other differences too that receive no attention. The slippers are gold in Grimm, there's no Fairy Godmother but rather a bird that perches on a tree growing on the grave of Cinderella's mother, who delivers dresses to her. The celebration lasts multiple days, and there's no midnight time limit. The prince spreads pitch on the steps to make Cinderella trip deliberately.
Yet the only thing people ever seem to mention is the stepsisters cutting off parts of their feet, because they just love to be like 'Did you know these fairy tales are actually super dark?' (At least this one has actual basis in fact, unlike Ring Around the Roses being about the plague. That one's just a complete lie.)
