okay. How about real therians don’t put their fellow members down for stupid reasons.

My partner recently introduced me to the idea of kemonomimi and I was wondering if I can be both a therian and a kemonomimi? Kemonomimi is mainly an aesthetic and therianthropy is a psychological/spiritual thing and I feel like both suit me because I feel like a fox therian but also enjoy other animal ears but don’t feel connected to them the same way I feel connected to a fox

Told my partner I’m a therian today and they’re supportive! They don’t really understand it but they know it makes me happy and that’s what matters to them

I am currently in a local production of cats and honestly it’s been the best time ever. I get a fun costume, I get to wear a tail during rehearsals, I get to crawl on the floor. It’s been great.

One of my favourite interactions was the first music rehearsal, I was sat beside a friend of mine (he’s a 30year old man- it’s relevant I swear) and he made the joke, “this is the show where Robin realizes they’re a therian” (nobody in this cast knows that) and I just laughed and went, “I know what that is, why do you know what that is?” Because I don’t expect people older than 25 to know what they are. We’ve had a few interactions since and he’s made jokes about me being a furry. Honestly it’s surprisingly validating even if he doesn’t know he’s right

I don’t know how I identify anymore but I know it makes me happy when my partner (a different one than the one I’ve talked about before) compared me being excited to my tail wagging

From my experience wearing my gear out in public, nopup cares. And I’m in a stereotypical Christian conservative country side. I can say that I’ve gotten more compliments than any negative comments (bc I’ve never gotten a negative comment)

Ppl don’t even stare unless they’re building courage to come up to me and compliment my tail and ears.

The sweet old ladies and curious little kids LOVE it. Even the cashiers. I know it’s scary but ppl are way more likely to compliment you while your out and about than come up to you and start shit.

Live for YOU. Not for anypuppy’s approval. If you aren’t living for yourself then are you really genuinely living?
