A Fun Sized Treat

Snickers was found to have Cushings Disease in December, severe arthritis in her hips in April, and now her knee joints have badly deteriorated.   Today she was diagnosed with lymphoma. Her liver is so enlarged it is restricting her lung capacity and she pants most of the time. The lymphoma has attacked her colon, so that little of her food is digested. She lost 3 lbs in 6 months, in spite of larger portions. This past week she lost another 1/2 pound even though I doubled her food.

We won’t be posting anymore. We will spend the next few days giving her love before saying goodbye.

I got a speshal treat today!  The vet gave me an xray and a shot because I have really bad authoritiss in my hips. Mom says maybe I’ll feel like playing fetch again some day.  Note from Snickmom; Don’t skip your annual exam!! If our vet hadn’t discovered that Snickers has Cushing’s Disease, she may have been given the wrong pain meds, which would have caused a very bad interaction!!!  Other note from Snickmom, taking good care of our fur family is EXPENSIVE.

Snickers and her family have been going through some sh!t, like many folks. No one noticed her 13th birthday last week. Can ya’ll send her some love?
