🧜🏻♂️ While Rafayel is undeniably vengeful, that desire stems from the sirenic influence of his higher subconscious. A primeval aspect of his being which harbours an insatiable thirst for blood. It is this very instinct that causes him to lose control whenever it wholly eclipses his rational mind. Yet, when left unconsumed by it’s influence, Rafayel possesses remarkable self-restraint. It is precisely this discipline that allows him to remain uncaptured despite his notoriety as an elusive serial killer, all while hiding in plain sight beneath the limelight of his celebrated artistry.
Rafayel is fully cognisant of this internal struggle. His plea for MC to “Stay back” in ‘Land of Secret Flames’ was not born of fear, but of awareness and acknowledgement that his higher subconscious was overwhelming him. Ultimately, it is only through their sacred bond that MC was able to restore his consciousness and anchor him back to reality. By the end of the ordeal, he is instinctively drawn towards her scent, lingering against her pulse like a Sea Beast seeking solace from the only presence capable of calming the turmoil which raged within him.
🐺 By contrast, Valko presents a different manifestation of primal instinct altogether. Unlike Rafayel, he is not inherently bloodthirsty. Instead, his defining characteristic is impulsiveness. His connection to पशुलोक (Pāśhulokā) embodies an existence governed by pure bestial instinct, compelling him to act according to the untamed impulses of a Wild Beast. His violence is less an expression of bloodlust than of instinctive predation, reducing his enemies to prey rather than victims. Yet, this savage disposition remains masterfully concealed beneath the dignified persona of a respected Chairman and accomplished scientist, allowing him to navigate society with impeccable poise.
I believe Valko’s story will explore the gradual erosion of his self-control as vengeance steadily consumes him. His role as a vigilante hints at this trajectory — a lone wolf hunting criminals beneath the cover of night, while the rest of the world sleeps. Rather than vengeance being his defining trait, it is the catalyst which threatens to unshackle the beast he has spent his life restraining.
This is precisely where ValkoMC assumes her narrative significance. She is not merely his companion, but the force that tempers his impulses. Through the werewolf’s mate-bond, Valko becomes irrevocably imprinted upon her scent, and her commands evolve into instincts he follows as naturally as breathing. Rather than representing domination, this bond serves as the mechanism through which his humanity is continually reaffirmed, preventing his descent into a state of unrestrained savagery.
This is exactly what we observed from a glimpse of ‘The Tameless Game’ trailer. The instant MC’s scent reaches him, Valko’s carefully maintained composure begins to unravel. She floods his senses, overwhelms his mind, and leaves him utterly spellbound by her “lovely scent”. It is the very moment she imprints upon his very being, despite MC herself remaining completely unaware of what has transpired.
🔄 The juxtaposition of these two relationships is especially compelling. RafayelMC is bound to worship her Sea God, anchoring him to rationality whenever his higher-plane sirenic consciousness engulfs him. By contrast, Valko willingly surrenders himself in reverence to his Huntress, whose very presence anchors the wolf within him before vengeance can reduce him to little more than instinct.
💜💚 The result is a remarkably elegant narrative foil: one explores the struggle between divinity and monstrosity beneath the sea, while the other examines the tension between humanity and beastliness within the wilderness.
I would also like to attach two additional pieces of my work below, both of which are relevant to Valko’s storyline —

People have really forgotten that yandere is literally a horror trope. No I don't want a "green flag yandere" I want an endless pit of dread in my stomach and also a sense of arousal that shouldn't be there
I based my MC off of a deer since we used a cat for my best friend's MC design (pink locs character). We came up with funny head cannons for Valko and my MC since outside of my game and in our own AU, her MC would be with him. Basically I was a hardcore Zayne main.
Since his cancellation we both have been upset about it. I drew her MC to help her through this until Valko comes back but I wanted to draw something with mine. I wouldn't draw any romantic stuff with these two (staying strong for our AUs with him) but she wouldn't want him to leave.
I just needed something to help me cope until he's released as he should be.
I have always enjoyed creating content because i genuinely love the game and the lovely community. My goal has always been to share that passion through art that brings excitement and enjoyment to fellow players.
I was deeply disappointed by the recent announcement. Many players were eagerly looking forward to valko, and the sudden decision has left a large part of the community feeling disheartened. Seeing so many passionate players affected by this has also been difficult for me as a creator, I sincerely hope it gets resolved soon. I truly want to continue creating content that brings positivity.
Attempt no. 2 after studying his face a bit more. Main reason why I don’t make lads art that much is because the characters are so pretty, I have a hard time getting it right 😔🙏🏽
the sheer harrassment, bullying, and dismissal of dark-skinned players while they were reaching out to infold to fix the horrible lighting (that not only broke immersion, but felt like mockery, it was that bad) should never be forgotten.
these players, particularly africans, were also dragged for no fucking reason by valko antis on the CN side when his trailer was released.
and when valko's cancellation was announced, wallahi i was going through every social media platform. they were the first to rally against infold, demanded he be brought back which paved the way for many of us who felt hopeless, to join them.
so now that a bunch of valko antis & global meatriders of #them are trying to accuse these people for being "performative" & "not putting this effort into the lighting issue" despite never ONCE speaking about it, you best believe getting flamed to hell is the only valid reply.
genuinely it is one of the worst moves valko antis & randos who try to act indifferent can pull because where the hell were you when dark-skinned players were, and still have been, getting cyberbullied & harassed? now you're trying to act holier-than-thou in a vain attempt to use the lighting issue against them? the hypocrisy is actually insane to me wtf
anyways my heart goes out to all the dark-skinned players. even if valko is back i won't touch the game if the lighting still sucks because after everything you guys go through in a fandom filled with bigots, you were the first to advocate for his return. the least infold can do is fix the lighting. it's indescribably unfair how dark-skinned players are always getting the short end of the stick
I'm seeing some rumors that I'm hoping are true, the individuals involved in the online hate (and I assume also the real life harassment) are being questioned by the police.
Which, again IF it's true, fucking good! That kinda bugged me the last couple of days, you don't get to send out death threats and biohazards (animal poop is technically a biohazard people) and not face legal consequences. I'm American so I only really know what would happen here, fines at the very least, possible jail time at the most. But I bet no matter where you're at the cops showing up at your house for questioning is enough to make you think twice about doing some stupid shit like that again.
Behind Infold and the entity we're all angry at are real life people just trying to make a living. People who probably were afraid to go to work, people who suddenly became very stressed out. I hope their legal system deals with this. They deserve justice too.
