He’s getting visibly annoyed. In fact, more ticked off than he’s ever been in centuries. The God doesn’t wish to simply explain his disposition, he just wants answers, he just wants Sig to be alright. Instead, this damn green hippie waltzes in as if he owns him.. it irritates him to no end. Though, Yato supposes… perhaps he deserves this. Even God’s deserved punishment for their misdeeds. This was the fated meeting he had been awaiting.
“Rrgh…” he utters. Yato shuts his eyes for a moment before shoving his hands into his pockets. He lifts his head to glance at the man before him.
“… I insulted Sig. I threatened him, even. It was a joke, he lost it. That’s all. Alright?” he asks, rhetorically. It’s not even close to the truth. Or… perhaps it is. From Yato’s mind, that’s simply it. But he doesn’t trust this man… this mysterious entity. The vibe he gives off isn’t one of friendly, and despite the God’s friendly nature, he isn’t one to trust very easily. Especially when it comes to his friends.
“Now, what the hell are you gonna do about it?”
It feels almost like standing near a ticking bomb...
Lemres feels his own words were causing the counter to go down faster, bringing him close to setting the bomb known as Yato off. It’s a dangerous situation to be in but he’s already here, there was no turning back at this point. He wasn’t doing this for himself after all. He was doing this for a good friend, so the intimidating God wasn’t going to get him to back down. Though he also didn’t want to get into a fight with this man.
So, he tried to only listen. He watches as the other puts hands into their pockets. He can tell the other is getting extremely annoyed with him. It won’t be long before the other feels tempted to beat the daylights out of him. He’s got to be careful with his words from here on out lest he makes this worse.
But the truth can’t help but throw a wrench into that plan.
“Oh so you only...”
“Wait what?!”
It’s almost as if the truth physically assaults him. He stumbles for a moment in disbelief. He had been labelled as a creep and weirdo for just offering candy... Heck he’s even been beaten up for seeming mysterious and weird. Yet the fact Yato just confessed to threatening someone who was a child had seemingly blown him away. The reason Sig seemed so distressed suddenly made a lot of sense to him. He could remember how scared Sig was when Schezo had chased him in only a dream. This probably scared the daylights out of poor Sig.
“Okay... Well this is going to be a bit rough.”
“Let me talk to him. I’m sure you didn’t mean those words. I’ll help him calm down and understand that. The threat probably gave him a terrible scare."
darkwizardschezo:
“It is a mystery that gives more questions than we have answers for. How would I have turned out, had I simply continued following my class and not answered my own curiosity? But no matter the outcome, I still am me. If there’s a Schezo that did claim Arle’s power and usurped the Puyo Underworld throne, if there’s another that fell in love with her instead, that is still me. And on this plane we both are on, I may have lost to her several times, but that does spark a flame of competition. It urges me to better myself as a dark mage. And through journeying with her, I met someone I wouldn’t expect falling in lo-”
[SLOW DOWN THERE SCHEZO. Schezo stopped himself before revealing way too much about himself. Geez, his time with Lagnus made him open alright, but isn’t that overstepping your own boundaries, dark wizard? Schezo cleared his throat after that sudden pause.]
“Er- that’s another time; it’s a long story.”
“I do know of one other doppelganger, but that one ceased to exist. At least, as far as I am aware of. It was my own, actually.”
“That’s an unexpected but pretty fantastic way of looking at it... Thank you for sharing such insight.”
Though Lemres did not expect to learn so much about the dark mage like this. He’d admit he knew almost nothing about Schezo, nothing about his relation to Arle, or really anything about his past until now... But he had never expected the other to be open about such personal things with someone like him whom many called suspicious or weird. Surely the other wouldn’t normally share information like this with a mere acquaintance right? It must’ve accidentally slipped his tongue. It still made things a little awkward.
Especially the part involving the mentioning of love, Lemres didn’t miss that... Yet he acknowledged that was personal information and would not pry into that. The love lives of others was not his business after all... Probably best he also doesn’t congratulate the other to avoid this becoming embarrassing for either party.
Perhaps moving to the Doppelganger subject would make things less weird?
“You had one too? Interesting... Well hopefully neither intend to come back to be future threats.”
Lemres that is literally tempting fate there mister.
darkwizardschezo:
“I know Arle’s is widely known, even if she is from my home world.”
[There is that, and Schezo’s own doppelganger too. His is not nearly as known, but he did once manifest himself.]
“Hmm, you raise a fascinating question. This other self could be from an alternate time. A self where things have turned out differently due to the course of events being different.”
[Schezo fell silent for a moment.]
“…Now I wonder if my other selves had drastically different lives. Would I run into a self that never became a dark mage? Or a self that did claim Arle’s magic and move on?”
“Indeed she is. Makes me wonder if anyone else has a doppelganger we should be aware of?”
Considering none were really causing trouble right now or even out about besides Arle’s as far as he knew, perhaps it’s better not to really worry about it. His attention completely moves to focus on Schezo’s words.
“See? Such an idea makes me curious. How one could’ve ended up if just one thing was different or took completely different routes in life... It’d be almost like they’re not the same!... Or they could be just slightly different...”
He chuckles for a moment, suddenly amused by the other’s questions. Despite how saddening one of those results would be, he tries to be optimistic about it.
“Possibly. Life is full of unpredictable moments and nowadays the universe has seemingly become a smaller place. You could probably learn a lot from such an experience.”
“I personally like you as you are now but that is just me. I’m glad you became a dark mage and lost to Arle. I feel a version me who has met you hasn’t had the fun experiences I have had thanks to you. I guess I should show my appreciation for our encounters now that I think about it. Thank you.”
retentionsx:
He’s a bit taken aback from the stranger in the hat. He’s not quite sure how he’s figured out the situation he’s in so quickly, he’s not even sure he can really trust him. After all, it’s not everyday your average hat-wielding, fancy-toned gentleman approaches you on the street with offers of advice and friendship. Especially when you’re a Nameless God roaming the Earth in search of money and fame.
“–what’s your angle?” his voice is stoic, as if he’s hurt. Sig means a lot to him, and he’s damned he’s going to take advice from some stranger.
The God flares his nostrils. Maybe he’s got to relax. Perhaps that’s it. He hurt Sig… that much was true. Perhaps it wasn’t a bad idea to just… listen.
“Lemres… I am the God, Yato,” he states, starting to smirk. Not to say saying his own name brings a smile to his face, but… I’m totally saying that.
“My angle? I see only a straight line here.”
The comet warlock shakes his head, he was not doing this for his own personal gain. He was not a completely selfish man! So, he was being completely straight with Yato. The only fact he was withholding was how he came to learn Yato was the culprit, but it wasn’t hard to guess he could’ve talked with the half-demon before seeking out the God.
Speaking of which...
“God?”
He seems confused by the term at first. He knew what the title meant, but this has been the first time he’s ever heard someone use that title to address themselves. Perhaps he had gotten too used to the Devil being more prevalent around here than any God. He shakes his head and decides not to question it, time not being on either of their sides right now. Proper introductions would need to be saved for another time.
“Well... It’s still a pleasure to meet you... But I still must ask again, what happened between you and Sig? He’s never acted this strange since...”
He pauses for a moment, shaking his head as he decides not to bring up a past incident. That would just waste time.
“Disregard that. Just inform me of what happened.”
box-of-characters:
“Randomly appear?”
So that must have meant that many people didn’t come to this town by the typical means - such as a vehicle or walking. And for a split second, Tsuki had to remind herself that her way of travel wasn’t exactly “normal” to others in the least. Normal humans couldn’t float or anything like that from what she could tell, not without special equipment.
Still, the deity smiled, torso slightly leaning forward in greeting.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well Lemres, you can call me Tsuki. And I must say your name is rather unique!”
“Yes. It’s become a common thing for either people to come to our world, or for us to go to someone else’s world as strange as it sounds...”
It had gotten to the point where no one was really surprised about the world hopping really... At least until the worlds were put at stake for one reason or another, Yet, that seemed to be something that came with the game of Puyo Puyo. The whole world jumping situation is probably also why Lemres isn’t questioning the fact the other was floating in the air.
All sorts of people, from big to small, human to non human, and what have you, always seemed to end up in Primp.
“Why thank you Miss Tsuki. I don’t get that compliment often.”
darkwizardschezo:
“I tend to be skeptical of multiple selves, due to my past endeavors with doppelgangers. I don’t deny the idea.”
“I understand the skepticism... Especially considering the fact of Doppelgangers have been an issue before.”
There was Doppelganger Arle that he heard about... And let’s not forget how much of a problem possession is around these parts.
“As for me, I’m actually kind of intrigued by the idea of meeting another me. Are our memories the same? How different are our realities? Questions like that make meetings like this, as strange as they are, all the most interesting. Wouldn’t you agree?”
"Well isn't this interesting; I never thought I'd see the day I'd meet a second me."
“Yet here we are... I must say, I may have prepared myself for this... But it’s still quite the shocker to see another me now that I have one standing before me.”
The idea of the multiverse having multiple versions of one person has always intrigued him, but he would admit he had more mental preparation for meeting alternates of others more than he had done so for himself. Yet, he somehow kept his composure as he stood before the other.
You are so precious! I just gonna hug you real quick! *hugs*
“Wha-.”
The hug took him by surprise, causing to step back a few steps before regaining his balance.
“Oh! My~ You’re quite the bold one aren’t you?”
He can’t help but smile as he pats the other on the head.
“Still, I do very much appreciate the compliment. Thank you.”
darkwizardschezo:
“Er- Pardon my outburst there, Comet Warlock. I’m beginning to wonder I’m starting to lose my sanity now that I’ve seen a third version of yourself.”
“It’s only sensible. Many don’t believe in the multiverse theory, so things like this can come as quite the shocker. I fortunately prepared myself for these kinds of situations.”
darkwizardschezo:
“WAUGH HOW MANY COMET WARLOCKS ARE THERE!?”
“...”
“Well that’s an interesting way to say hello. Nice to see you too Schezo...”
I refuse to live a life of regret. I refuse to hope things will get better in the future when I have complete control over making them the best possible right here and now. We have one life—and none of us knows how long our life will be or what will become of it. The possibilities are truly infinite.

“Such negativity...”
But that’s to be expected in a situation like this isn’t it? He’ll have to choose his words carefully to avoid being torn to shreds or punched in the face.
“I’m Lemres. I just so happen to be a friend of Sig’s... And Sig just so happen to come to my home almost in tears and is acting a manner I have not previously seen him act... And I’m actually very concerned... As a friend not only Sig but also many who care about him that reside in Primp Town, I need to know what happened between you and him.”
Don’t ask how he knows it’s Yato that’s caused Sig’s distress, that’s his secret. All that matters is that this gets solved and Lemres can sleep easy knowing his friend and this stranger are okay.
“... And I want to help... A friend of his is a friend of mine. That’s reasonable yes?”
“... This is like watching oil be poured on a fire in an attempt to put it out.”
You should do something about it Lemres rather than commentate. Geez.

A french violinist…
And some magic loser that likes candy?”
