the journal entry from when she was sixteen when she said “i’m dieting again. over the holidays i didn’t watch what i ate and man its so weird how fast i can gain or lose weight… it’s crazy. so i’m going to lose some now” absolutely broke me. this is something she’s hinted at several times over the years but she’s never talking about it like this, or at such a young age. i can’t imagine how much she internalized growing up in the industry and i’m so proud of the fact that she’s able to be more open about it with us and she’s so much healthier and aware of her herself and her needs. i’m so so proud of her.
