Happy Bday to cutie patooties pookies xiaoyu I haven't drawn her since idk like 201X something. Ngl, she's one of the reason that I did alot of exercise, got in shape and cos her (which usually I barely cos the character that I'd like) Moreover, I was so happy to see her have alot of moments with Jin both netflix anime and lasted Tekken /sob Im thrilled like proud mama (Ofc, finally she could hang out with guy she'd love)

It was an unexpected show of affection, one Xiaoyu didn't know how to plan or prepare for. In her mind, it would make sense for her to become a blushing mess and perhaps even act dramatic like girls do in TV shows.

However, her outside demeanor was rather calm, and all that crossed her lips was a smile. It was gentle, causing a slight beating of her heart inside her chest.

She couldn't stay lost in her thoughts forever, though. After a few more seconds, she opened her eyes to glance up at him, the corner of her lips still turned up into somewhat of an embarrassing smile.

"You should warn a girl, you know?" She joked, her eyes glancing away to the side as her fingers fumbled around with each other behind her back.

'Of course I'm thankful for it, but maybe that's a bit too embarrassing to share.'

{ Agh I feel so rusty! But in order to shake that rust off, I have to keep writing. Xiaoyu is my longest running muse, been with her for over a decade (I mean in general since I wrote her back on myspace too), and I don't feel right never NOT writing her somewhere lol.

Speaking of, I missed celebrating her birthday. Think it was yesterday. DX

Xiaoyu wasn't buying that. Not as if Asuka didn't mean to get into trouble, except when it came to involving herself with gang activity.

'Well, not like she herself is in a gang. She just...breaks up fights, which is a good thing! But doesn't she ever worry about herself?'

And if it isn't that, it's more than likely Lili dragging her into something instead. Now that was against her control. Xiaoyu hummed, pondering for a few more seconds before focusing back on her.

"Are you sure about that? I saw those guys running off, was that another fight? Don't you get worried about getting pulled into their activity?"

Yet again, this somewhat reminded Xiaoyu of when she was younger...and how she even got to Japan in the first place. She couldn't deny that she was also a...mischievous person.

Everything that's happened between school and now was always a lot to process when someone sat and thought about it. Xiaoyu found herself thinking about it too often throughout the years, yet there wasn't much she could do about it, and neither could he.

"There's no need to apologize." He was always keen on doing that, even back in school.

"But I can make choices for myself, you know. It may be a bit hard, but I'm fine with that. I can handle it!"

She gave him a smile, placing her hands confidently on her hips.

"Wouldn't be right without a challenge, don't you think? And besides, you're still my friend. You deserve to at least have someone in your corner."

Even if Xiaoyu had to suffer with any sort of stares or judgment just for supporting him, she was fine with that. She made this choice and wouldn't run from it.
