Today the social worker said I am looking less pale and I told her it was because I've been going on walks lately and that I was shocked because Matt and Sofia let me go out on my own and walk around the neighborhood which feels weird because I don't think a lot of people my age do that but it's nice to be able to get outside. I was never allowed to leave the house before except to go to school and to go to the doctor or dentist but now I'm allowed to go out as long as I tell them the route I'm taking and when I'll be back and when I do this which is almost every night now I borrow Matt's phone just in case. That's another thing that is foreign to me because yes I have used phones before obviously but I've never been trusted with one by myself I've only ever used them under supervision so having a smart phone in my pocket is bizarre to me and it felt heavy at first but lately I haven't noticed it as much.
Anyways I've even used his phone and stuff to look things up or use his apps and at first I did an experiment where I left one of the apps open when I gave the phone back so when he unlocked it I had opened up Balatro and was playing a little bit of it so I was in the middle of a round and it wasn't an accident. He noticed when I gave the phone back because it was at dinner time and he asked why I stopped in the middle of the round and I told him because I didn't want to play it any more and he just said the game wasn't for every one so I told him I did like it I just was done playing and he didn't get annoyed that I didn't close the app or quit the game he didn't even react except. Anyways some times I go on his Apple Music account and listen to some of his music on there while I'm walking and I just play it quietly and stuff so I don't have people in their houses or yard hear me playing music and think I'm up to no good. His music isn't very good and Sofia is actually the one with good music taste which is funny because I feel like there aren't alot of girls that like electronic kinds of music. She likes old dubstep she said like Skrillex EPs but hasn't listened to much electronic music other than that because she likes rock music more and she's a fan of David Bowie also and he's cool and has some good songs from what she played for me because I know about him but never bothered to hear his music. She talked about him as if he were still alive which made me nervous because I was worried she didn't know he was dead and I didn't want her to find out after our conversation and be mad that I didn't say anything about it so I told her he's dead and she told me that he lives on through the music and that's a piece of himself he left behind and I can agree with that because people's art is almost always an extension of themself.

There are many interesting things about the Vietnam War and one of them is there seems to be alot of women involved and no one in this documentary I'm watching is talking about it so far. I looked some of it up and found out about a girl called Võ Thị Sáu and her story is sad because she was caught by the French and executed when she was only 19 by a firing squad but she is a martyr to the Vietnamese people because despite her torture she refused to give up anyone's names and never broke even until she was killed which I think is really brave for someone her age especially since she started working with the Viet Mihn when she was only 14 years old.
Anyways that is all before the Vietnam War but this documentary started from the French taking over Vietnam and they keep showing women soldiers from that time and it's very cool to me that they not only let women fight but they were involved in alot of ways because even if not fighting they would ride bikes through the forest to bring ammo to the soldiers. I enjoy learning about revolutions alot because I think they show humanity down to the best parts of it because it shows what we are best at and the reason we are still around which is surviving and doing unexpected things when pushed to an extreme and how everyone can work together toward a common goal in spite of individual differences they will always be fighting to keep each other alive. I don't like the revolutions in the military sense but in the way that it gives me hope that people can still be united because I don't think there's been a time in my life where it's felt like that anywhere even though we're the United States we don't feel that way but the people are what make the revolutions interesting to me more then anything else also fuck the Vietnam War.
