Although he didn't want to take you away from the life you had, he couldn't handle you being anywhere but in his
Nuns dedicated their lives to God.
Nuns could not partake in romantic relationships.
Konig was aware of that too.
And he kept reminding himself that, hoping he'd steer away the feelings that had developed for you.
But his heart remained indifferent.
That's what ultimately led him to a confining confessional booth at the church you worked at.
And once he began talking, it was as though he couldn't stop. He admitted to loving someone he feared could not reciprocate what he felt, and that he'd unintentionally hurt her.
But what he hadn't expected was you on the other side of the booth, listening to everything he had said.
You didn't know it was the man who seemed to hang around the church you worked at, staring at you through the windows. Because if you had, you wouldn't have said anything of the things that you did.
You were quick to reassure him once he was finished pouring out his feelings, telling him that even the strongest men, like Moses, had been fearful at some point, but that they conquered it, and that you believed he could do the same.
You even advised him to put his fears aside because if she were truly the one, she would understand that in no there any relationships that are there always peachy, and that she'd forgive him.
He followed your advice, then. He hit you over the head with a rock and pulled you to the trunk of his car that night after following you behind the church while you were discarding burned-out candles.
His actions were motivated by love not malice, he had no ill intent really.
You said it yourself, if she was the right one she would forgive his mistakes, and nuns forgave plenty, right?
Note: I'm not religious myself so it was fun trying to write this. Also tell me if there are any grammar mistakes!
