If we should live in the present moment, how are we supposed to plan for the future?
Planning and ruminating are two different things.
What do I need to do, VS what could happen and running scenarios over and over. Imagine you are packing for a camping trip. What do you need, what’s the plan. VS running emotional scenarios about it.

building self-trust as a forever shy girl
That wasn’t the moment, but that day I realised I didn’t actually need the life raft of nerves, of hours upon hours of preparation and concern. I had walked to the edge of the cliff and she pushed me off. I screamed on the way down but when I hit the water I realised I could swim. It was the push I would never have guessed I needed. Little did I know, now I had started along this path, those little nudges would never stop. They often came about one single breath after I started feeling comfortable again.
Finding your path does not mean life is easy. But it does mean the current tends to keep pulling you along, often before you feel you’re ready.
...
I always hated the wind, tried to change the part of myself that moved like it. Collecting the scent of pollen from one flower and another, rushing through reeds, moving through spray of a waterfall, hiding up in the clouds, never with one particular destination in mind, but set on discovering and studying, accumulating the right colours, scents, elements and experiences along the way.
We’re told it’s wrong, to be unsure of where the path is taking us.
But I’m quite sure it’s a gift.
keep trusting the path
This process (Experience → Know → Create→ Feel) is a self-perpetuating loop that shapes our reality and determines how we respond to our needs. To break negative patterns or create different outcomes, one must disrupt the cycle by changing their thoughts or behaviors.

The self-knowledge encouraged by the spiritual path is the intimate revelation of that Awareness which exists before mind and body even appear.
The “self-knowledge” encouraged by society means solidifying the character you are going to roleplay through life.
The more certainly you buy into the “self-knowledge” of society, the more brittle you will become. This is me, this isn’t me, this is what matters to me, that doesn’t matter to me, I will open myself to this set of experiences and close myself off to those others, etc.
It is the dreaming we call the ego.
We are all roleplaying while forgetting ourselves, like snowmen who have forgotten water. Roleplaying + Forgetting = Dreaming.
In order to interface with human society, a degree of roleplaying is necessary. But when you forget or don’t know you are roleplaying, you are lost in the dream-state.
The self-knowledge of the spiritual way will liberate you from the suffering of the dream-state. Most of us don’t realize that we are suffering or we don’t realize the root cause of our suffering. We blame circumstances or other people or past traumas but we never go all the way to cut into the heart of the matter. Instead we continue the roleplay, drinking saltwater and expecting hydration.
You are free to be free from all of these limits. So ask yourself: Why aren’t you?
