Sousuke blinked in surprise, as he felt her hand grasp his. He let her pull him along, as his gaze fell to where her small hand enclosed his. It felt … nice.

He shook his head to clear his mind. It was a weird feeling, warm and … fuzzy. Alien to him. Sousuke let her take the lead because clearly she had far more experience in this field and her hair was shimmering nicely in the sun.

Wait, what!?

He shook his head again. No no no. She is experienced in this field, clearly a specialist such as myself, and so she is the best person to accompany when gathering experience like this. Yes. This is the case, he thought to himself.

“Where do we begin then?” he asked her, as they stood in front of a map of the amusement park.

Oblivious to Sousuke's little dilemma, Tsukasa hums to his question.

"Well... there are tons of rides to pick from. Like teacups, roller coasters, bumper cars, the ferris wheel, and some more!" She explains, pointing each place as she names it, "Also, there's lots of treats all over the park, so if you get hungry, you can get whatever you want. Even if it's a little expensive!"

She looks at him, smiling.

"What do you usually do first when you go to the amusement park? It's been ages since I last went to one!"

Hatter ushers the girl closer, then lowers his hat down on themselves. When he lifts it up they’re already on the ride, sitting next to a family of three (all of whom are staring at the pair as if they’d grown a third eye).

“Hello! I hope you like spinning!”

He grins and readies himself for the thrill. He shuffles his arms left and right and left and right, practicing for the spinning motion which is to come.

What an exciting time!

“It’s time for a Mad Tea Party!”

It only takes Tsukasa a blink to realize that they had actually gone from the back of the line into the ride. Her head moves frantically, and when the family of three stares (she seriously hopes the little kid doesn't start crying in utter confusion), she only waves nervously at them, as if telling them this wasn't that big of a deal.

Of course, nobody really says anything, as the ride's manager speaks from his place, and announces the safety measures to be taken. Tsukasa looks down to diligently follow at least those rules, and looks back at Hatter with a rather eager smile.

"I think I haven't been in teacups since I was a little girl!" She exclaims, "This will be so fun!"

A buzzer sounds, and the teacups move at a gentle speed.

[Io seemed to be stoic as usual during most of the ride but he was actually enjoying the sensation of each time that there was a free fall and the wind rushed against his hair and even with all the screams of the people who used to do that at every fall, he seemed to keep his calm quite well and before they knew it, the ride was over and Tsukasa seemed quite frightened so Io thought he should try to calm her a bit and patted her head.]

Yes it is, you are alive and you proved to be quite a brave young lady.

[And just as he said that, the guy in charge of lifting the security measures passed by them and released the lock so they could get off the ride and Io offered a hand at Tsukasa so she could get off her seat and asked at the same time.]

Shall we try something more calm this time like the carousel? 

[Io didn’t have a problem with riding it since there was one version for kids and other made for more grown up people so they could go to the later one and enjoy a calm ride for her to calm down.]

Tsukasa lets go of Io's arm as soon as he speaks. Mostly because she was so embarrassed that she had gone and clung to him as she had. The ride assistant lets them off, and she laughs nervously when she accepts Io's helping hand.

"Y-Yeah. Carousel sounds awesome." She simply replies, her voice and shoulders still trembling from the big ride, "I'm so sorry I freaked out like that, though!"

Upon deciding for the next ride, they walk out of the roller coaster's site, and into the carousel's line, which conveniently enough, was just a few steps away.

"Hey, if you want to, you don't have to get on this girly ride with me." Tsukasa says, feeling a little guilty for dragging along her new friend to such an... unmanly little thing.

Sousuke paused. “I … see. Of course. That is of course, expected,” he replied.

Sousuke tried to recall what he knew about “amusement parks”. “Amusement park. Hmmm. It is a place where average Japanese teenagers go to relax and have fun,” he recalled out loud. Sousuke considered this information. He had never been to the amusement park before. He had been to a private zoo once, but it had been midnight, and most of the animals were asleep. ‘I must endeavor to experience new things and as such gain more experience.’ Sousuke nodded firmly, coming to a decision.

“Very well,” he said out loud. “I will buy the ticket for you, and I shall accompany you into this … ‘amusement park’. I am curious to see what kind of amusements average Japanese teenagers have.” Without waiting for a reply, he turned back to the counter and drew out the credit card assigned to his use for this mission.

The metallic card was jet black, with the image of a centurion in gold highlights. He handed it to the cashier and said, “I require tickets for two.”

A moment later, he turned back to Tsukasa, and held out a ticket. “I have obtained the required tickets. Perhaps you would like to lead the way?” he said, face expressing nothing but sincerity and innocence.

Tsukasa wanted to argue against Sousuke buying the tickets- after all, she had just been one big forgetful dummy and tickets were expensive!

Alas, her friend had gone on one of his funny and determined little lapses and had bought the tickets anyway, regardless of any kind of complaint she could've even thought to make.

So she ends up taking her ticket, with a big smile on her face.

"You're always going out of your way to get me nice things, Sagara-kun." She starts, sweetly, "So I'll do my best to give you back a good time! I hope we can have fun today."

In a whim, she takes his hand and leads him to the park.

"Come on, this way! We can start by looking at the maps to decide what to do!"

Hatter pouts.

“But I wanna ride them now! Why can’t we just sneak on? Like we did into the park?

Obviously our morals are a little skewed, so what’s the big deal if we pull an Alice and hide in a teacup when no one is looking? We’re not in Wonderland, so our heads will be safe!”

He looks both ways, trying to find the perfect time to leap. It’ll be harder, because instead of one guard, there are many people.

Well...

Even though she feels a big rush of guilt telling her that ignoring the park's rules for a second time would bring nothing but trouble, another part of her urges her to follow along- after all, they had already committed the bigger crime, so this was really nothing, right?

"When you put it like that, I guess you're right..." She mumbles, just a little uncertain. She glances over to the ride, and notices the last pack of people that had entered, a few minutes ago, are getting off.

"...If we do something, now's probably the moment?" She suggests, looking everywhere for guards or any figure of authority.

Looks like coast is clear, aside from the people in line!

Due to the curious absence of witches in this city, Mami had to find other means to channel her magical talents.  This usually meant walking aimlessly around the city in search of crime and general wrong-doings.  ”Not much difference then,” Mami sighed to herself.  This was one of her less fruitful searches.  She was glad nothing untoward had occurred in the area but she couldn’t help but feel a little frustrated.  Fighting was her duty after all, and being unable to find a good substitute was making her a little antsy. 

Mami turned the corner toward the amusement park and found a distressed - and familiar - looking girl rifling around her pockets next to the admission stand.  Mami briskly approached her, something was obviously wrong.

“Tsukasa, isn’t it…?”  Mami caught herself before asking what was wrong.  ”Ah, we share a few classes so I thought I recognized you,” she explained.  ”And I’ve heard your name in passing, so forgive me if I alarmed you.”  She gave a apologetic smile before the calm concern reappeared on her face.  ”I was about to ask if anything had happened, you’re looking a little flustered.”

"Huh?" 

Tsukasa turns around, surprised that someone with an unfamiliar voice seemed to call out to her. Hey- this person isn't that unfamiliar up close, though. The stylish but odd hairstyle was really hard to miss, after all.

"Uh, yeah, my name is Tsukasa! Tsukasa Hiiragi, pleased to meet you." She smiles, and there's a hint of a blush in her expression, "And don't worry, nothing too bad happened, I'm just making a big deal out of it. I forgot my wallet back at the dorms, so I can't enter the park, hahaha."

“What is the problem? Has someone kidnapped a relative? Are you being blackmailed into smuggling explosives overseas?!” Once again, Sousuke’s mind went on paranoia overdrive.  “Do you require assistance recovering your relatives?” Sousuke tried to think who would be so cruel, so evil to kidnap her relatives and blackmail her. …And he couldn’t really think of anyone.

Tsukasa can't help but to laugh a little- Sousuke sure has an active imagination! 

She simply shakes her head, smiling sweetly at him.

"No, not at all, don't worry!" She explains, "I wanted to go to the amusement park, but I left my wallet back at the dorms, so I don't really have the money to buy a ticket, that's all!"

[Io smiled at the lavender-haired girl as she seemed to have quite the energy and followed after her and just like she pointed out, they didn’t wait for more than those 15 minutes before getting their turn to get on the roller coaster.

Once there, he allowed Tsukasa to take a sit first before getting on his seat and the safety measures had been applied and given the ok by the guy in charge of keeping those things in check.]

If you feel like it, it’s alright to hold onto my arm alright?

[Io said with his usual stoic tone before the roller coaster started moving finally. Io was pretty good with this kind of games so he made the offer in case she needed some support when they got to the slopes]

"I- O-okay, if you say so- I'm sorry if I do!" Tsukasa stammers, not feeling completely used to the chivalry Io offered.

And just as she does, the ride begins moving: first at a painfully slow pace, in which after taking a curve, the cart goes up, up, up...

"Hey, look over there! I can see the whole park from up--"

And down they go, into quite the blunt fall!

"Heeeeeeeeeeeere!"

Without much of a thought, Tsukasa clings onto Io's whole arm for dear life. And for the whole ride, she does so, feeling quite afraid.

Wellp, now she nows she really isn't an extreme person at all.

Once the ride ends, she's still trembling, and holding on to him.

"I-Is it over now? I'm still alive?"

“We shall! We shall indeed!”

Hatter sprints off in the direction she pointed, practically floating to the cups.

“I am so excited! We’ll spin around and rotate and twist and turn!

Are you excited, little Dormouse?”

"Yeah, I am! It's been a long while since I spun around in teacups!" Says Tsukasa, gladly going for the nickname, and sprinting right besides the Hatter.

Suddenly, she goes to a halt, for they have arrived to the line for the teacups.

Which is actually quite the long line. '20 minutes on wait from this point!' reads a sign right besides them.

"Um. I suppose we'll have to talk a lot or something? It's gonna be a little while before we can get on."

“A Dormouse is a…

Well, he’s…

A Dormouse, or rather, the Dormouse is a mouse who enjoys tea and snoozing at the table!”

Hatter scratches his head. How does one describe a who as a what?

Well, that, like anything that's happened so far today, doesn't make any sense.

But who's Tsukasa to question who the Hatter knows or doesn't? He had brought her into the park and helped her out, so oh well.

"Ooh, okay. I guess that's a good nickname, then!" She simply responds, and points forward. The line for the teacups could actually be seen at this point if you squinted enough! 

"According to the maps, the teacups should be over there, so shall we go?" She asks, while she starts walking.

Sousuke was engaging in the socially acceptable and proper activity of reading a book. Sadly, the benches were all taken, so he made do with the shade of a nearby tree. Dressed in proper camouflage to blend into the civillians, the mercenary looked up as he heard a familiar voice in the distance.

As he drew closer, he noted the purple hair, and the distinct aura of helplessness. “Oh. It’s Tsukasa,” he said, as he drew closer. He noticed she was in a state of distress. “Is there a problem?” Sousuke asked, genuine concern in his voice.

Tsukasa turns around, having heard a familiar voice, and the smile on her face is far too wide to be true when she recognizes the owner of the voice.

"Sagara-kun!" She beams, "It's really good to see you around- but I'm sorry you caught me all upset like that!"

"Gosh, it's been so long! How're you doing?"

[Once they were inside the park, Io started gazing at all the places, trying to think of a good place to go into and it seems that she was pretty enthusiastic to go on every ride available so that was good as well. Still, to ride every attraction it might prove quite hard in the practice since there were queues to take in mind. Io noticed that the shortest queue was at the nearest roller coaster.]

Perhaps we could start with that then? [Io pointed at the roller coaster]

[It was best to ride those kind of rides first so when they felt like eating something later, it wouldn’t be bad for their stomach in any case. Io wasn’t bad with those kind of rides but he had to take in mind he didn’t know much of the girl so he didn’t know how strong a resistance she had as well.]

"Hm?" Tsukasa follows the pointed finger, and oh surprise, a roller coaster!

Though she wasn't exactly the 'extreme' kind of person that'd go to risky rides first, she wanted to have a full and fun amusement park experience- so this wouldn't hurt.

Right?

"O-Okay, let's go." She stammers, but nevertheless, runs ahead to take a place in line. She waves to Io, feeling quite eager to go in. "Shouldn't be less than 15 minutes, according to the signs!"

Hatter stops listening at often. That’s all he needs to hear.

“Dormouse it is! You are now Dormouse!

Now. Off to the teacups!”

"Just a sec!" She says, quite surprised at the Hatter's eagerness to go.

"Hey, wait. But what's a dormouse anyways, Mister Hatter?" Tsukasa asks, and luckily enough, she's able to spot the Teacups rather quickly in the map. Should be North, from their current position.
