I had someone (an actual IRL friend of mine) tell me Taylor Swift's music is too "teenage angst" for him??? Then when I pushed back he said it's too "self deprecating" and I think he has only heard Anti-Hero and, like, You Belong With Me.

My least favorite thing that has happened in the lead up to Speak Now TV is the people talking about FOB/Paramore like they're small bands or like they were only big back when Speak Now came out.

Paramore is bigger than it has ever been, and FOB is at a high (though I'm not sure BIGGER than they were back then, they're still a HUGE band). They're also playing a mostly sold-out tour right now. Just because a band isn't Taylor Swift-level huge doesn't mean they have a small fanbase.

anyway idk why this is bothering me, maybe bc I've been a fan of all three for so long and I'm so excited about the crossover content coming up

Just watched a tiktok of someone saying that folklore saved Taylor’s career and how lover was a flop with people in the comments agreeing and saying they tapped out for rep / lover but folklore brought them back and it’s like…. It’s fine if lover isn’t your music but let’s not pretend that Taylor was flopping in that era?? It was literally her best reviewed album, the album did great?? She did great interviews and Miss Americana??? Lover fest was sold out? Like it’s just bizarre to me…. And these people I now have to fight to get tickets. Hate it here. It’s so fake deep. You don’t know anything

I think people vastly underestimate how incredible Taylor's career has been? Like, Folklore introduced new fans to her songwriting but she wasn't a dying artist before that lmao
