What a strange man. ‘Course, back in her time, she had a few people like this within her company. There will always be a few quirks within a large group of people, it seems. Hands rest by her side, a small grin growing on her face. The worry ever-so visible on her face. As if it could be hidden at this rate. Saber just shook her head slightly, pushing the other questions out of her mind pertaining to the moment. She’s come to learn that some things should not be questioned – even more in this era. It’s strange how people have closed up over the years.
“You are welcomed, Doctor Roman. May I accompany you for the time being? If you ever need assistance, please, do not be afraid to call for me. I do not think Master would mind if I stayed behind for you.” It’s probably best he stays away from them, too. She wouldn’t want to find him locked in another one. What would happen if someone else came across the poor doctor? Ah…. yeah, no, now’s not the time to think about that either!!
Her attention shifted for a second, reaching into a small burlap sac that rested on her hip. Shuffling through it, something small was removed. Within a plastic bag was some small cookies! Ruby eyes turned back to the ginger, her smile changing to one more friendly than worried. “You should have something to eat as well. Master would be upset if you fell asleep while working.”
❖ “If you want to help me out, I won’t say no to an extra pair of hands.” Romani was surprised by the offer, but he certainly wasn’t going to turn it down. Things always seemed to grow hectic fast, and having a Servant helping him out might just be enough to make things manageable.
“It’s a bit of a dull job for me to ask you for assistance with... But I think it might be time to take inventory in this facility again. I’ve lost all track of what we have--And knowing might be helpful to keep me out of situations like the one you just found me in.” He was trying to think of how to best plan out a count and how to keep track once things were written down--But found himself distracted instantly at the offer of a cookie. He looked almost like an excited child at the treat.
“I... Alright, thanks!” His sweet tooth would never deny him a cookie. Taking it with a nod, he took a moment to eat while still trying to think out a plan.
“If you’re up to it, I can try and work with you. It’ll get done a lot faster with two people... And I’ll try not to get locked in any closets this time around.” He had to chuckle slightly at his own joke. “I know that whatever we do won’t be exact, but it could be a nice reference at the very least.” ❖
