The Umbrella.
Those conversant with the 'Prashna' system, know the importance of the Chhatra (umbrella) Raashi in the Prashna chart. This Raashi is the protection of Lord Vaamana devaa on the querent and shows the place to go for the solution of the question. Vaamana Devaa is always shown walking with an bamboo and straw made umbrella. What is the conceptual secret behind this? Why is it so important?
My thinking is that it is because that Raashi is under the feet of the Lord. In the Puraanaas it is described how He covers the whole cosmos with two steps and the third id kept on Raajaa Bali. This, keeping the foot on the head is a powerful deeksha (initiation) and the giver of such initiation will have to take over at least 10 % of the Karmaas of the disciple. A very powerful blessing indeed and the Chhatra raashi will show us the house and the Raashi where this blessing is available and hence the importance.
What do you say?
As a Student of Jyotish, we must develop the capacity to look at the myriad charts from different perspectives. Like for example, Pundit Sanjay Rath ji gives a very fresh perspective in looking at the divisional charts
This opens up a different vision while looking at the divisional charts but we have to keep in mind the application of the concept within the conceptual framework or we will only get lost in the many hidden pathways of Jyotish landscape.
Kamadeva shooting his love-arrow at Shiva
Kama (Cupid), the God of Love and Sexuality. He is also known as Manmada, Madhana, Kandarpa, Ananga, was one of the mind-born son of Lord Brahma Dev. Some accounts say he was mind-born son of Lord Vishnu. Rathi was his consort.

“Śiva meditating. Śiva sits on a tiger skin meditating beneath a banyan tree in a hilly landscape.
His knees are bound by a yogapatta.
In his upper right hand he carries a damaru, in his upper hand the mriga (Indian antelope), his lower right hand carries the rudrakshamala and the lower left rests on his flexed knee.
The god wears the usual ornaments, particularly elaborate here are his epaulettes. An angavastra is draped on his shoulders and his third eye is clearly open.
His wife Parvati feels neglected and so she commands a diminutive green-complexioned Kama (located to the right of the god), who kneels on his parrot-drawn chariot while aiming his flowery arrow of love at the meditating god.
Angry at being disturbed Śiva opens his third eye in anticipation of destroying the hapless messanger.
Great care has been taken in the depiction of the sugar cane bow with its string of honeybees, as well as in that of the lotus-tipped arrow of the god.
His arrows are decorated with five kinds of fragrant flowers.
The flowers on his arrows are: Aravinda(White Lotus), Ashoka, Cuta(Mango Flower), Navamalika(Jasmine) and Nilotpala(Blue Lotus). Also known as Unmada, Tapana, Shoshana, Stambhana and Sammohana.
Kamadeva has five arrows which are sometimes associated with five effects that desire has on one afflicted by it. Kamadeva’s five arrows are said to be fascination, disturbance, burning, dessication and destruction.
Noteworthy is the Vaishnava namam on Kama’s forehead and arms.
The foreground is enlivened by rolling hills and tufts of grass.”

Chitra Sabai Sivan Temple The Hall of Painting
Karthik Thirumalai wrote : Chitra Sabai Sivan Temple or the Hall of Painting is located at a walkable distance from the main falls of Coutrallam in Tenkasi District. The place is a treasure trove of beautiful mural art and hence the name Chitra Sabhai. It is one of the five locations where Lord Shiva is said to have performed his Cosmic Dance.

12 Signs of the Zodiac The Rasivalayas Yantra, the Jantar Mantar of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
These miniatures painted inside the arches of the Rasivalayas Yantra can be easily missed because of their small size (just 12” x 15” ) but make for perfect postcard-pictures.
You’ll find the painting of your zodiac under the arch of the instrument that measures that particular constellation!

Anandeshwar mandir, Akola, Maharashtra - Drone View
Akshay More wrote : Explored an 800 year old Lord SHIVA temple…
Anandeshwar mandir is located at a distance of 25km from Akola, Maharashtra in Lasur village of Daryapur taluka, Amravati district. This temple seems to be of Hemadpanthi style where rocks of different sizes are stuck in one another such that it holds the entire structure.
This temple is त्रिदल meaning that it has three गाभारे (sanctum). सभामंडप(hall) of this temple is open and its termed as स्वर्गमंडप. This unique open roof structure can be seen in very very few places and it becomes one the prime reason to visit here. Anandeshwar temple is standing on 12 pillars. Beautiful and intricate carvings can be seen inside and outside the temple. Though it has less sculptures, the sculptures which are present, are really carved with minute details. Some remains of the temple are placed in one of the sanctum while some are present in the temple premises. Two द्वारपाल (gatekeepers) are kept outside the main sanctum.
This temple is an archeological site and hence being preserved very well…
