It is not for science. He just feels like cooking something special for Simon.

An honest admission, as mirth dances across his eyes. It is almost unfair how Klavier reveals quite so much when he himself is not similarly afflicted with drink. Simon smiles, nonetheless. Emboldened, he loops an arm around Klavier's shoulders. His callused palm going flat against Klavier's arm, caressing the other with comforting, rhythmic circles.

Simon takes a breath before revealing a quiet truth of his own.

He angles down a look at Klavier, his lips curled into an unreadable smile.

"I'd rather this, than to be feared."

Klavier laughs quietly, pressing a little more firmly against Simon's side before righting himself. "Not at all!" He says rather cheerfully. "'specially not now, with you…wanderin around, free as a bird."

He hums to himself, and when he speaks again it's with an airy tone, so not spoken as though he is looking down on himself. "Wonder if ya thought I was worth it, tho. Since…we had tha' rocky start." He closes his eyes, head tilted a little as his brain muddles through a series of thoughts. "But…yaknow, 's been nice. Real nice. Gettin' ta know you better an such. Spendin' time together."

This is when he tips over a bit to the side, head resting on Simon's shoulder lightly as a pleasant smile appears on his face. "Mmmm. Good pillow." He's quiet, before asking with a very faint intensity, "D'ya like it when…I get—yaknow. Clingy. Not—not clingy but. Touchy-feely?"
