Thank you @taylorswift @taylornation for singing Soon You’ll Get Better tonight. My papa has pancreatic cancer. They told him he had 6 months left... 3 years ago. Last month they stopped chemo as it wasn’t working anymore. We are now going through the painful process of saying our goodbyes and getting things ready for him (his gravestone & planning his service which is proving hard with this whole pandemic). It’s the most difficult thing my family and I have ever had to go through as he’s been a father figure to all of us.

All of this to say... I know singing that song was hard for you... but the impact it had on my family and me ALONE is just wow. I bet you helped a lot of families tonight.

Thank you for being you. I love you so much. I wish I could give you a big hug right now. 💔

My family and I are watching my papa die right now from pancreatic cancer and it’s been the hardest thing any of us have ever had to go through. He’s been like a father figure to all of my siblings. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making me feel less alone at this time... because you GET it. 💘

I’m proud of Taylor for standing up for what she believes in politics wise but I also smiled SO big when she said “I AM A CHRISTIAN”. & when she said “I pray to Jesus too” in Soon You’ll Get Better. I just am so happy that she is owning who she is and standing up for what she believes in in all facets of her life lately. You have a voice, @taylorswift. And a big one!
