decided to update my travel alter. simplified this some. i love my little element wood rounds. hubby cut those and sanded them for me.

Decided to try to keep another plant alive. I got this little cutie the other day. I named him Rufus. I figured if I gave the plant a name it might help me remember to water it. 😬

Ended up needing to work a later shift than planned so my Imbolc plans went out the window. Decided to try this little altar in a cup I saw on Insta by Witchytips. Brought it with me to work so at least I can celebrate a tiny bit. It has salt, bay leaves, lavendar, and rosemary.

Fairy Lavender Wine: An Imbolc drink 🌸

With Imbolc being tomorrow for northern hemisphere, I thought it would be great for everyone to try this recipe 🖤

🌱Ingredients for 1 serving: 2 cups of a dry wine ½ cup of lavender 1 cup water ½ cup sugar (optional) Optional: ¼ teaspoon of sweet pure maple syrup (vegan) or vanilla extract.

✨Directions: place the water, sugar and lavender buds into a sauce pan. Stir and then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let steep for at least 15 minutes. Strain it (if you don’t want the lavender buds in your wine, i leave them in though) and then pour your lavender mix into your cup. If you’d like to add vanilla or syrup, do it here and stir. Then lastly, add your wine to the cup and stir again. You can drink this cold, or of course hot. Just warm up your wine as well before mixing and make sure youre using a “hot wine” if you are. Not all wines should be drank hot✨

I also added some more lavender buds to top it off. Makes it pretty 🌸

For the Translated book category on my reading challenge I chose I, Tituba, Black Witch of Salem. The Salem Witch trials have always fascinated me. The book was originally published in French in 1986 and was translated to English in 1992. It is a historical fiction novel. I think I’m really going to enjoy this novel.

I created a reading challenge for myself this year. The goal is to step out of my book comfort zone by reading things I may normally not read. The only rule is that one book can only count for one category. I’m super excited for this challenge.

picked these up at Joanne’s on clearance. was totally in impulse buy. lol. i know i can use them for something witchy. just not sure what yet. totally open to suggestions. i’m thinking some sort of protection spell ball or sweet dreams. what do you think??
