Pay to watch music videos?

Do you think it is possible that, one day, we'll have to pay to watch music videos?

Nowadays, the music industry spends a lot of money in the production of clip videos for its so-called "artists". Scenes that count hundreds of people, special effects, celebrities : everything's worth getting more views and appreciation. But we can ask ourselves if producers that put so much money in such impressive videos won't want, one day, to get it back (And by getting it back I mean GETTING MUCH MORE BACK). Of course, making a music video makes your content viewed by loaaads of people (putting half-naked persons in it that do some "almost non decent" moves seems to work really well to get views) because it opens the door to the music television such as MTV in the past years. But, considering that clip videos are cinematographic productions that can cost up to $10,000,000, can it be possible to let it be a part of the advertisment for a song? How is it possible that it's totally free to watch it? Youtube now offers to pay to unlock movies to watch on streaming, do you think this can happen in the music video industry?

Images That Rhyme With Music

Music guides our ears and heart. But, it is possible to take it (or not) a step higher and put images on a song. A new world comes then to life. Concepts that the artist had only in his mind appear now on a screen in front of his eyes like a a shadow play enlightened by his brain. The lyrics now refer to figures, the beat of the drums can be contemplated and lips are moving in harmony with the sound of the voice.

But, is making a clip video always something positive? Is it always bonus? We all relate to songs at a personal level, we all put a bit of ourselves in the melodies we hear. Those moments when you think "OMG did they actually spy on me to write those lyrics or?!?"

Considering this, can we say it's a good idea to put concrete pictures on those subjective and personal representations? Adding details would destroy all the magic, the true essence of the song that found a meaning right into the bottom of your heart.

I think there's a balance to maintain. Not all songs are good to put images on while some are such masterpieces. Everything lays on the shape you give it.
