Just finished up the latest training session I’ve had in probably 2+ years (8-9:30pm and I took preworkout...I will sleep like a baby 😬). • One of the most common questions I get (it’s common in general) is, “how are you so motivated to go to the gym?” (Also, “track your food”, which this applies to as well.) • Since my show, my motivation has admittedly decreased mostly because I haven’t clearly outlined my major goals. I’m truly motivated maybe 30% of the time, moderately motivated 40% of the time, and then I fall heavily on my DISCIPLINE for the other 30%. • I was too tired to get up early to train morning (that’s acceptable) and I just laid in bed watching Hulu for hours after my CME sessions today (also acceptable once in a while 😂). I spent that time talking myself in and out of going to the gym that literally takes me 60 seconds to walk to. I don’t always win that battle with myself, but the more I’ve worked on that DISCIPLINE, the easier it has been to simply tell myself, “I really don’t want to do this shit, but I’m going to anyway.” • Motivation will only get you so far. Learning to develop and obey DISCIPLINE instead of relying on motivation will get you so much farther in virtually all aspects of life. Don’t swallow the bullshit stories. Do what you told yourself you were going to do. https://www.instagram.com/p/B30pR7plt6L/?igshid=1h903vvuorn8h
